I do not know how long I stood at the same spot until Ben's voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"I think I just saw thatJake guy being dragged in" He announced.
I turned to him.
"Do you know him?" I asked.
"Who? Jake? who doesn't know Jake in this school?." He looked around but they all shook their heads.
"Probably the Freshmen" He continued
"But hold on" he narrowed his eyes at me
"How come you know him? I mean you just got to school yesterday and you know him already?"
"it just kinda happened." I shrugged.
I looked back to the crowd to see if I could catch a glimpse of him but I guess the guy dragged him farther into the party.
"Erm.... I will see you guys later." I said to them.
"Stay close." Sarah said to me.
"I will."
I knew this was wrong but my heart wouldn't let me decide against it. So, I followed in the direction that guy dragged Jake into.
I walked farther into the house until the music became distant. I kept walking until I felt the cold breeze of the night kiss my skin and I shivered from it.
I looked around me and noticed I had left the house and was at the back of the house. I thought of going back to the party since I was dangerously far from it.
I was going to turn back but a glimpse of light that came from patio area made me stop in my tracks.
I walked towards the patio but stopped when a strange smoke met my nose.
'what was that smell?'
'Turn back now before it gets too late.' My inner goddess warnedBut my curiosity got the most of me and I walked closer to the patio.
I saw some dangerously looking guys and hid behind a tree that was two feet away from them but I could still see them.
I tried looking for Jake amidst them just about then, my phone rang. I struggled with my purse to get my phone out because I didn't want the ringtone to direct their attention to me.
Finally I got the phone out. it was Sarah.
"Hey Sarah." I said into the phone trying not to sound weird
"Where are you?" She asked.
"Erm.... Just around".
She was silent for some seconds.
"Okay. I will be going with my boyfriend tonight. Can you find your way back to the hostel?"
"I should be able to. You can go with him I will be fine." I assured her.
"Okay then. Goodnight." I was going to hang up but she spoke.
"Aubrey?"
"Yeah?"
"Be careful." She warned. I guess she noticed from my voice that I was up to something.
"I will see you in the morning." She said and hung up.
I returned my phone into my purse but I came face to face with a chest.
My heart beating so hard in my ribcage, I looked up to see who the heart belonged to and was surprised when I saw the guy who owned the chest.
I shrieked and fell on my bum.
The guy brought out his phone from his pocket, turned on the flash light on my.
I covered my eyes with my hand so as not to get blinded.
"You again?" The husky voice asked.
I remembered that voice and the things it does to my body. it was Jake.
"Hiiiii" smiled foolishly.
"Why do you keep following me?" He asked coldly.
"I wasn't following you...." I stood up from the ground.
"I happen to be in this party too." I said to him.
He glared at me.
"If you know what is better for you...."
"Stay out your way" I interrupted him.
"Yeah, yeah you said that once but what's the harm in making new friends?" I asked and shrugged.
He scoffed and tilted his head to the side. "You wanna make friends with me?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure?" He smirked.
"Very sure" I assured him.
"Didn't anyone tell you anything about me?"
"They did. They told me a lot of bad things about you and those things don't scare me."
"Oh, you should be scared of me girl." He moved closer to me.
"You should be scared of the things I can do to you." He moved dangerously close to me backing me to the tree.
"I am not scared of you." I breathed out.
"Are you sure?" He brushed his fingers across my waistline and my body tingle from his touch.
"Yes" my voice trembled.
"You wouldn't want to know me more than you already do." He warned me.
"I am warning you, do not cross my path again." He warned me venomously and left.
I stood there looking at his restricting figure.
"You heard that didn't you" I said touching my heart.
"He doesn't want you to follow him anymore." I said silently and left the place.
I got back to my room looking tired and some what sad. I turned on the lights, took a shower and went to bed.
I thought about everything that happened and I decided to sleep it off.
I was half way to dreamland when I heard rustling at the door and the doorknob turning vigorously.
I rose from my bed with fear dripping from every part of my body.
'Could it be a burglar?' i thought to myself. 'Nah, the dormitory has security.'
I picked the nearest object my hand could reach and held the weapon with my dear life. I moved a little closer to the door, aiming my weapon at it waiting to break any part of the body of the person.
The door bursted open.
"Ahhhhh!" I screamed in fear almost hitting the person.
"Hey! Keep that thing away."
'uh that was Sarah's voice.' i opened one eye.
"Oh it's you?"
"Yeah" She angrily threw her bag on her bed.
She looked haggard. 'Was she in a fight?'
"Weren't you supposed to be back in the morning?" I asked.
"Why? Can't come into my room anytime I want?" She snapped at me.
"Didn't mean it that way. I was just surprised to see you tonight." I explained.
"Well, I am here now." She snapped again.
"Goodnight then" I said to her and went to my bed to sleep.
'What happened?' I thought before I drifted off to sleep.

"Get the hell out of here Dave!" Sarah yelled at the person which made me wake from my sleep.
"Babe please, just listen to me first." Dave plead.
"There is nothing to listen to. I saw everything with my eyes." Sarah yelled pushing him out of the room.
I walked closer to them.
"Dave, i think you should leave and come back when she is calm." I reasoned to him.
"No! Don't ever come back. I don't want to see you again!" She yelled again and slammed the door on Dave's face. She went to sit on her chair looking so angry.
'What happened? They were fine last night.'
But I decided not to press any further and went to tidy my space.
"I am sorry I snapped at you last night." I heard Sarah say.
I turned to her.
"I was so angry last night." She explained.
"It's okay. But if you don't mind me asking, what happened to you two? I mean you guys were lovey dovey last night." I said to her.
She didn't say anything but I could hear her snorting.
'Oh my God! It must have been bad.' I thought to myself and went to pacify her.
