"Really?" I removed my phone from my ear so as not to get deaf from Kate's loudness.
"I am damn too sure you must have woken up everyone from your side."
"Forget about the sleeping people and tell me more about this hot boy."
"You haven't even seen him yet." I rolled my eyes even though she could not see me.
"Oh please, I am sure he is hot. You wouldn't be talking about him if he wasn't."
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah really. Now tell me about him." She commanded in a stern voice.
"Well, there is nothing much to say about him. I just met him remember?"
"How did you guys bump into each other?"
"Was there suppose to be a dramatic way to bump into each other?" I creased my eyebrows in confusion.
"You know..... Who bumped into who?"
"I think I did, I guess." I scratched my head in confusion.
"Can't really remember who bumped into who."
"Okay then. But you like him right?"
"I kinda felt something for him but I don't know what it is." I signed in exasperation.
The door opened and Sarah entered.
"Hey" she greeted.
"Hi" I replied.
I went back to talking with Kate.
"What else would it be if not love dummy."
"Love? Just like that?"
"Yeah! Just like that.... Love picks randomly, it doesn't care where, when, who or how."
"Just as death takes at its will. It doesn't care where, when, who or how too and it could also come in any form and the form it came in for me is Jake!" I whispered yell into the phone.
"He is a dangerous guy Kate, you shouldn't be advising me to get closer to him."
"But your heart wants the dangerous guy? you are unbelievable Aubrey. You are not clear on what you want."
"I am clear and that is to not get close to him."
"Good luck doing that."
"Thank you."
"I have to go and remember..."
"To gist you later" I cut her off before she could finish.
"Good girl." She said and I chuckled and hung up.
Sarah came out of the bathroom dressed up in a party mode.
"Wow! where is the party at?" .
"Off campus. You wanna join?" She offered.
"Erm.... I don't know." I hesitated.
"Come on, you are going to enjoy it."
After giving it some thought I gave in.
"Okay. Give me few minutes to get ready." And I rushed to the bathroom.

Jake's POV
"You are good for nothing!" My God damn father yelled to my face.
"oh yeah? And you? you are good for everything?!" I yelled back at him.
"Shut up and get the hell out of my house!"
"Your house?" I scoffed
"This house stopped being a home to you the very moment mom died! You want to know why? Because you killed her! You f*****g killed her!" I was shaking with anger. I felt like hitting something.
"She was in labor. She called you to come get her to the hospital. But where were you? You were with her." I pointed to his wife and looked at her with disgust.
"And you came back the next day but at that time she was already dead because she got to the hospital late!" I yelled
"You killed her!"
"Watch your mouth." He warned
"Or else what? You are going to kill me?"
"I said watch your mouth!." He punched me in the face.
I fell to the floor and held my face. I heard a loud bang of a door and rapid footsteps racing to the living room.
"Just stop it!" I heard my seven years sister, Sharon yell.
"Please just stop." She cried.
I felt bad for making her cry because I had promise my mom to never make her cry.
"Just kill me instead. it was my fault she died. it was my fault I grew up without my mother. She saved me instead of herself." She cries harder.
"Just kill me instead" she whispers as she falls on her knees to cry.
My father went to her to calm her down.
"Nothing is your fault. Don't ever say that again." he assured her in a calm voice.
I couldn't watch anymore. Then, I left the house.
I needed something to cool me down. Weed cools me down but I was out of it.
I called a guy that delivers weed to me to get some from him. He picks on third ring.
"Yo! man. What's up?" He said into the phone. I heard loud music from the background. So, I assumed he must be at a party
"Where you at?" I asked
"There is a party in John's house. Do you wanna come?"
"I do not have the luxury for that." I declined
"Come on man, there are fresh fishes here." He tried to convince me. He meant freshmen
"Just come out. I am in dire need of weed."
"Something must have happened. Just come over and unwind."
I thought it over and came to a conclusion that it could be a good idea to party once in a while.
"Alright I am coming."
"Okay. I will be waiting for you at the entrance."
I hanged up and got inside my black Mercedes AMG GT 63 and drove off to the party.

Aubrey Pov
The party was a crowded one. I guess the host must have been a popular person.
I followed Sarah to where some guys and girls were drinking and doing their business.
"Hey babe." Sarah kissed a blonde haired guy and he kissed her back.
"This is Aubrey, my new roommate." She introduced me to them after she broke off from the smooching.
"Hello." I waved to them.
"A freshman?" A brunette haired guy asked.
"Yeah." I responded.
"Oh. You are welcome to 'Our' school." He smirked. The stress in the 'Our' hinted something.
"That's quite an emphasis on 'Our'." I said
"Don't listen to him. He was just playing with you." A voice said from the girls and it came from a girl sitting right beside the brunette haired guy.
"I am Roseline by the way. I am his girlfriend." She pointed to the guy.
"it's nice to meet you. You have a nice name." I smiled at her.
"And I am Ben." The brunette haired guy introduced himself.
Everyone introduced themselves to me and I felt like I have known them all for so long.
"Why not go into the crowd and meet new freshers?" Sarah suggested.
"I think that's a good idea."
I turned around to walk away then I saw him 'Jake' being pulled inside the house by another guy.
Then my heart went frantic, it started beating so hard that I could barely breath.
Then I got to know that I still had him buried deep in my heart and can't dig him out. it's like he belonged there.
