Meeting Sharon

"He is a cheat" Sarah declared.

"Ben? Was he cheating on you?" I asked surprised.

"I met a lady in his house and what's worse? She was wearing the shirt I got him on our first year anniversary as a couple."

"Oh, I am sorry to hear that." I felt bad for her.

I have never really been in a relationship but I know it must hurt to see your man with another woman, in his house even in his shirt.

"I don't want to see him ever again." She cried.

"Hey, it's going to be okay. If you don't want to see him again, it's okay. Do whatever you think is right for you." I told her.

I placed her head on my shoulder to calm her down but she kept crying.

'Love comes with pain and pleasure, to feel the pleasure one have to go through pain'

I was craving a strawberry cake and went to the bakery to get myself one.

"Hi, do you have a strawberry cake?" I asked the young lady behind the counter.

"Yeah we do. You are so lucky to get the last one" She answered me politely with a beautiful smile.

"The last one?!" I heard someone say from behind me.

I turned around to see that the voice came from a girl.

"I should have gotten here quicker" she pouted and looked down.

'Awwwn' what a cute little girl.

I bent down to her height and raised her head to look at her face. She's got beautiful brown chocolate eyes which instantly reminded me of someone.

"Hmm mm, you want the cake too right?" I narrowed my eyes and smiled at her.

"Yes, I do. It's my favorite." She replied.

"Let's make a deal. I will share the cake with you if you...."

"If I what?" She asked eagerly.

"Tell me your name" I smiled, shining my 32 at her.

"My name is Sharon" she beamed.

"I am Jealous, you have such a beautiful name." I smiled and she giggled.

"What's your name?" She asked

"Aubrey." I extended my hand to shake her.

"You have a beautiful name too" she complimented.

"Thank you."

I got up and turned to the young lady.

"Can I have the strawberry cake please?"

She packaged the cake and I paid her.

I turned to Sharon. "Shall we?"

"We shall" she giggled again. She was so pretty.

We both left the bakery and sat on a bench that was just outside the bakery.

I opened the box and brought out the cake and luckily, a plastic knife came with it. I guessed the lady must have deliberately had the plastic knife in the box since she knew we would be sharing the cake

"Here you go." I cut her a cake and did the same for myself.

"So Sharon, did you come here by yoursell?" I asked her

"No, My brother drove me here." She replied.

"Where is he?"

"He left to do something nearby. He will be back to get me soon."

"Okay." We continued enjoying the strawberry cake.

After a while of savouring the cake.

"Sharon?" A dangerously familiar husky voice called the little girl's name.

"Took you long enough." She rolled her eyes at the person.

I turned around to look at the person and who I saw made me almost choke on the last piece of cake in my mouth

"Are you okay?" Sharon asked me worried.

"Yeah" *cough* "i am okay." I cleared my throat.

"You again....." I cut off him before he could finish his sentence.

"Yo! I was here first. Didn't Know you'd be here too." I explained. Then realization hits me.

"Hold on," I turned to Sharon.

"He is not your brother, is he?"

"He is my big brother." She declared

"Oh my God, that explains the eyes." I mumbled to myself

"What?" Sharon asked.

"ERM..... Nothing" I smiled sheepishly

"Come on, let's go." Jake said to Sharon.

"I have to go now. Thank you for sharing your strawberry cake with me." She smiled at me.

"You are welcome." I smiled back.

Then they walked to where Jake parked his car and drove off.

"Why do we keep encountering each other? Could this be fate?" I sighed heavily and went my way.

Jake's POV

It was her again, the girl I never wished to see again. The first day I saw her I had vow to stay far away from her but we kept encountering each other.

"Have you been listening to me?" Sharon's outburst brought me out of my thoughts.

"Were you saying something?" I asked confused

"What? So, I have been talking to myself this whole time?" I said angrily.

"Sorry, wasn't listening."

"Where were you?" She crossed her hands over her chest.

"I have been driving beside you."

"And you have thinking while driving?!" She yelled again.

"No, I wasn't thinking."

"Then explain to me, why you weren't listening to me?" She arched an eyebrow.

I guess she's right.

"Well, I already said sorry." I shrugged.

"Do you like her?" She smirked.

"What?! Who?!" I looked at her sharply and turn my attention back to the road.

"Aubrey, of course."

"Who is Aubrey?"

"Urgh! The girl from the bakery!" She threw her hands in the air and rolled her eyes.

"Oh, That's her name?"

"Yes! So, back to the question do you like her?"

"Of course not. I don't even know her."

"Really? But how come she got surprised when she saw you?"

" I don't know." I shrugged.

"Well, I like her. She is nice and friendly."

"And how do you know that?"

"Of course I do, she shared her strawberry cake with me and we talked and played." She Explained.

"You like her just because she shared her cake with you?"

"Yes, it takes a lot of energy to do that and

I'd love it if she becomes my tutor."

"What? Your tutor?"

"Yeah, I want her to be my tutor"

"Sharon, she has school too." I said to her

"But you just said you didn't know her."

"Yeah, not personally" I explained

"But you just said she has school."

"She goes to my school" I explained.

"I don't know how you are going to make it happen I want her to be my home school teacher."

"What if I say 'No'?"

"No you can't! You want to know why? Because you wanted me to be homeschooled for your own personal reasons and I want Aubrey to be my home school teacher." She insisted.

"You don't even know her that well." I tried to convince her.

"Well, I do now." She crossed her hands over her chest and looked out the window.

I sighed out of frustration and I thought of how to change her mind but knowing Sharon 'what Sharon wants, Sharon gets.' I will just let this go for now.
