Chapter 11: Learning About the World Part 2

After they were done discussing the elements the old man immediately changes their topic to Aura.

“Kid the next topic I’m going to ask you is all about Aura, did you learn about them in the book?”

Layon nod and replied.

“Yes!”

“Good then you will be able to answer my question easily, this is my first question, what are the two types of Aura user?”

Layon answer.

“The two types of Aura user are the “Mind Aura User” and the “Body Aura User”, and people call them “Maura User” and “Baura User”.”

“Then what is the difference between the two?”

“The Maura User use their aura to manifest their element to attack, defend, and provide support, for example, a fire element Maura user can produce a Fire to attack using their aura, the stronger their aura power the stronger the fire they can produce, while the Baura User uses their aura to strengthen their body and gain the characteristic of their element, for example, an Earth element Baura user will have a sturdy body and can receive a lot of damage, and the stronger their aura power the sturdier they are.

The old man nodded with satisfaction.

“Good! You learning fast kid I’m impressed”

Layon becomes proud of what his teacher said and smiles widely again, while Layon is smiling happily on his own the old man interrupts him.

 “Don’t be too proud of yourself you need to learn more before we proceed do you have any questions?”

Layon stops smiling and finally remembers that there’s something he wants to ask his teacher.

“Ahh yes, I want to ask, how would I know if I’m a Baura user or a Maura user?”

“A good question, it is impossible to know if you’re a Baura user or a Maura user until you have your core because you will only find out what kind of aura user you are depending on where your core will be formed if your core form in your mind when you’re a Maura user, but if it’s formed in your body then you’re a Baura user, but it is not random, the way of your life can affect where your core will be formed, for example, if you always study and use your brain there’s a high possibility that your core will be formed on your mind, and if you always use your body like training martial arts, labor, etc. it will form in your body, do you understand?”

Layon nod to the old man and suddenly think to what kind of aura user he wants to be but he’s having a hard time deciding what he wants, therefore he asks the old man.

“Then teacher you’re a Maura user?”

“That’s right kid”

“Then I want to be a Maura user!”

But suddenly Layon realizes something and becomes sad.

“Teacher is it possible for me to become a Maura user like you?”

The old man is confused by Layon’s question and think.

‘Is this kid not listening to me? Wait this kid is not that stupid is there a hidden meaning in his question?’

The old man thinks deeply and then he remembers that Layon uses his body to work in the mine almost all his life, then he understands the meaning of Layon question and said.

“Kid I am going to be honest with you I don’t know if you can be a Maura user, there’s a high possibility that you will become a Baura user, but you still have time if you work hard maybe just maybe you can become a Maura user like me.”

Layon understands and becomes determined.

“Yes, teacher I will work hard to become a Maura user like you!”

“Good as long as there’s a chance you shouldn’t give up that’s a mindset you should have, remember that feeling the desire to succeed, that feeling is what will make you stronger”

“Yes, teacher!”

“Now let’s proceed to our last topic, the world, tell me what did you know about this world?”

 “Uhm… this world is called Floor zero, teacher isn’t it’s kind of weird to call the world floor zero?”

“Maybe right now it is weird for you, but when you become stronger and experience the world more, you will understand it, now tell me more”

“I read about the history of the world, this world is not the world of human, at first the human-only run and hide while the monster hunt and kill them, humanity is only food for them, but one day a group of people suddenly showed up they are the first Aura user, they team up to protect the humanity from monster and make the world more livable for them.

“That just a small part of the history of the world but good enough at least you learned something, now tell what is the law of the World?”

“The law of the World is balance, it should not break ever, if there’s a time that this law did break then the world is going to be destroyed, that’s what I read in the book but why is that teacher?”

The old man becomes serious and explains.

“Because the Law of the World is absolute, if that law broke then this world will surely die, for example, if a living being dies there will be a new life born somewhere in this world, but what do you think will happen if this law broke what will happen if a living being dies and no new life has been born?”

“There’s a time that all living beings will be extinct?”

“That’s right kid, it can also happen in the opposite, if there’s too many living being in the world, the world will be the one who’s going to suffer, right now the humans are growing far too many therefore the world start producing dungeon to let human explore it and lessen their numbers”

Suddenly Layon thought something.

“Then teacher what if the human didn’t explore any dungeon?”

“That’s why the law of the World is balance, humanity is a greedy race and the world know this, therefore those who complete the dungeon can get a different kind of treasure, so even if a lot of people dies inside the dungeon there’s still a lot of people want to explore because of the reward”

“Teacher what will happen if the dungeon is completed that means there’s no more reward, are there still people who go and explore them?”

“Of course not, you stupid kid! Why would they go to such a dangerous place if there’s no more reward, if the dungeon is completed by someone it will automatically disappear after it teleport all people inside, and then a new dungeon will pop out somewhere in the world”

“Ohh and what about if even there’s a lot of rewards and still no people don’t go inside?”

“Then a phenomenon called “Dungeon Overflow” will happen, this will only occur when there’s no one killing the monster inside the dungeon, the monster will become too many and it will overflow and go outside the dungeon, the monster that overflow will become much stronger  much fiercer they will attack any living being they see they won’t stop until they are killed by someone or die of tiredness, that is how the world maintain the number of a living being”

Layon becomes more amazed about the world.

“Now let’s talk about how the group called Familia is born to this world do you know?”

Layon nods and answers.

“In the history of the world the group of people that becomes the first aura user came from a single clan, they have the last name called “Familia” these people believe in human bonds so they always stick together, fight together,  and died together, the people who were saved by them Idolized the Familia clan and make them a legend, the people start imitating the Familia clan and start grouping themselves to fight the monster and make this world a better place, they name their group base on the image of the Familia clan and they called it Familia, as time goes on a lot of people who become an Aura user start making their own Familia and start adding their own name group with Familia that’s is where it born the Familia organization.

The old man is satisfied with Layon’s every answer and stand up and stop their lesson.

“I think that’s enough you learn well, remember every single thing you learn from our discussion, because I’m not going to teach it to you again”

“Yes Teacher”

The old man walks towards his bed and rest, while Layon still deep in thought remembering all the things the old man said, he is completely inside his thought that he didn’t even notice that it became dark outside when he finally notices he saw a food prepared by the old man on the stone table he eat it and then rest, after that day the old man teach differents thing to Layon and Layon listen and learned, this lifestyle repeat for about two years.
