Chapter 8 Piper’s pov “Piper, honey, dinner is ready” Piper’s mother said as she gently shook Piper’s shoulder. She opened her eyes and noticed that the sun was beginning to set. Beautiful orange rays showed through the window and gave her room a warm glow. “Okay Mom, I’ll be right down” she mumbled, still groggy and confused. What a strange dream. What did I eat this morning? She sat up and shook her hair out rubbing her scalp. She could feel the slight tugging of a headache coming on. As she stood up to head downstairs she grabbed her untouched can of soda off of her nightstand. As she walked down the stairs, she was lost in thoughts about her dream. She must be spending too much time around her dad, because this is the crazy stuff he studied. Werewolves, Gods and Goddesses, witches, mates. It definitely had to be a dream. As she walked into the kitchen, the most delicious smell hit her. Oh wow, moms pizza tortellini casserole! Her mouth was watering. “So how was your nap?” her mother asked. “Good. I had the strangest dream. Like I can’t even begin to describe it,” she said around a mouthful of her mothers heavenly cooking. “You must have been in a pretty deep sleep then,” Mom chuckled. “Where is Dad?” “He is still at the pa-library, at the library doing research.” Her mother sounded nervous for some reason. “So do you remember the trip to look at the car at your dad’s boss’s house?” “Kind of. I remember walking up to the car with dad and meeting his boss, but I don’t know what happened after that.” “Well that is why your dad is still at work, trying to find answers. But I am going to tell you the story of how I met your father, and that may help a little.”
