Wyatt’s POV

Wyatt walked through the pack house to his office. The omegas working in the house all stopped to say good morning and smile at him. He returned every smile and good morning sent his way. When he got to the third floor, he walked straight to his office and opened the door. Terry, Bennett, and Derek were already sitting around his desk waiting.

“Any change in my daughter, Alpha?” Derek asked.

“Derek, it’s just Wyatt. We are family now. And yes, call Carla, Piper just woke up. She says she feels fine, but Kinzie says she wants her to stay one more night for observation.”

“Well that is great news! I am glad the Luna is awake. How is she handling everything?” Terry asked with genuine concern about Piper. Wyatt knew that Terry couldn’t wait to meet his mate but he was nervous about it too, just like everyone else. There is always that chance that your mate won't accept you.

“She is doing as good as can be expected. Better even. I actually can't believe how well she is taking it all. I am sure on the inside she is a little freaked out and stressed, but she is displaying real calm. Calm befitting a Luna, even though she never knew about any of this.”

Derek swelled with pride as Wyatt praised his daughter. He actually couldn’t believe how well she was fitting into this world of his that she never knew of except in horror stories. It was amazing how open the mind can be when it’s not clouded by judgment in the home.

Suddenly there was a knock on the office door and Bennett got up to open it. An omega handed something to Bennett and said a few hushed words and left. Bennett turned around with two six packs in his hands. “Wyatt finally, after years of searching, has found his mate. A mate who has been unconscious in the hospital for almost a week after her first shift because she is a super-supernatural, a force to be reckoned with. We need to have a drink to celebrate the occasion and congratulate our Alpha on finding his Luna.”

Bennett handed out beers and a chorus of “hear, hear” went around the room. After they all polished off their first beer, they got down to business.

“So, Derek, Terry, have either of you come up with anything yet?” Wyatt asked opening another beer.

They looked at eachother and Derek began. “Well, according to the old texts, Piper’s Lycan and Wolf are supposed to be the most powerful ever created. She is destined to do incredible things, for good or for evil depends on her. But we are not done with all of the surprises from Piper yet. According to the text, she will also gain the powers of a witch and she will gain the beast of a vampire. Her Hybrid form will be something to behold, but she will be able to choose which form she takes when she shifts.”

“It says that each of the other transformations will take place after some type of event, but it doesn’t give any clue as to what that event is. It could be through marking, or something else happy, or it could be through something tragic. We just don’t know.” Terry added. “What we do know is that your bond is what will be the sway between good and evil for her. All of the text emphasizes the importance of your mate bond.”

“I think it is time we call in an Elder. They may have more of an understanding of this than what the texts explain. They have a vast library that they may give us access to.” Derek said.

“Okay, I will call the Council and see if I can get you two access to the archives. I know the temptation will be great for you two but remember this is time sensitive.” Terry and Derek took their leave to pack and be ready to go.

“I’ve got some security to go over and make sure everything is tight since we have a special Luna to protect.” Bennett said as he left the room. Once the door closed behind him, Wyatt picked up the phone and placed his call.
