Chapter Two : psychic or something

Staring at the diner from across the road it looked like something straight out of a fairy tale, with its red and white awning above the front window and door and the small garden that had a couple of table and chairs set around it. As I neared the front door I could get a clearer view of the sign hanging beside the door 'Mary's diner ' wow, this really is something out of a fairy tale any second now a prince is going to pop out and sweep me off my feet. A small ding rang around the diner when I entered caused from the tiny bell hanging above the door, there was a couple of people around, sitting at tables with food that smelled amazing, oh my god the food in here smelled so good. I walked up to the counter where no-one was standing, and I was about to ring the bell when a small woman walked out from the kitchen area and walked up to me, " Hi, my name is Mary," the small woman I now know is Mary said to me
" hi, I'm Talia," I replied trying to be polite because I am known for my rash behaviour and bad manners well I mean the people who I knew for more than week.
" so what can I get for you Talia," Mary asked taking out a pad
" can I have a burger and a ... chocolate milkshake , please" I said looking at the menu
" sure ready in ten minutes " she smiled at me before going back to the Kitchen. I took a seat on one of the barstools and took my phone out ' oh s**t I left both my backpacks at the waterfall'. I'll go and get it later but for now I will just have my phone, you see I always make sure my phone is water proof so that in situations like earlier on I would always have it. just then two little boys that looked around five ran up to me one dressed like a dragon and the other dressed like a prince.
"RAAAAAWWWWWRRRR "the dragon one yelled at me
" Don't worry princess I'll save you " the prince yelled wow I must be like a psychic or something I said that a prince would pop up and sweep me off my feet and here is a little prince trying to save me from the horrors of a dressed up five year old, isn't he so cute. He had blond hair and cute blue eyes and DIMPLES!!! oh my god he he's the cutest dimples ever.
" why yes I'm so scared " I said
" Don't worry " he yelled as he pulled out his fake sword and the two ran away again .
" Here's your food dear" Mary said placing my burger and milk shake in front of me
" Thanks " I said already digging into my food witch was amazing, so good
" I have not seen you in town before, are you new" she asked
" erm ... Yeah, I'm looking for a hotel I'm only here for a week or two" I said taking a sip of my milkshake
" well, we have an extra room if you're interested " she said with smile
" yeah that'd be great I just have to grab my bags" I said, this is good this means I don't have to worry about having a place to stay. So I finished my meal and headed out to grab my stuff.

By the time I got back it was starting to get dark and Mary was closing up her diner, after she closed up she led me up a staircase and into a small room with a bed, wardrobe and set of drawers. And with that I fell on my bed and drifted into sweet unconsciousness.
