In my deep sleep, my consciousness still seemed to function without my volition. Images flashed in my head and in order, they held information about the world I am in. Log - 1 / 27th of December, 2030:-    The world was thrown out of balance, when a sudden war broke out between the eastern and western nations. Russia and the United States of America were the first to initiate the nuclear war. The eastern powers initiated the Bio-War in response nearly driving Humanity to extinction. The allied nations were dispersed and every country fended for itself. The casualty rate showed no signs of slowing down and the war itself was not dying out either. Soon, this was termed as ‘World War III’. Log - 2 / 30th of June, 2031:-                             Six months into the war and it still had not shown any signs of stopping. The casualties have been more than tripled and humanity was on its last stand. Log - 3 / 11th of October, 2031:-    This day marked one of the biggest crisis humanity has ever faced. The afternoon sky lit up with projectiles that looked like a meteor shower. It was still a mystery as to what the cause was but it ended the war but took the lives of many. Log - 4 / 31st of January, 2032:-    The fallen were honored and the remainder of the humanity united to get through the aftereffects of the war. Log - 5 / 27th of September, 2040:-    A decade since the beginning of the new era, things started to settle in. People put their petty quarrels aside and finally disposed of the idea of race and religion. Log - 6 / 2056:-    The notion of time has been completely crumbled and the shape of the world has completely shifted. The glaciers have completely melted and the lands near the equator turned completely inhabitable. The earth’s axis started to slowly shift due to the effects of war. Log - 7 / 2060:-    The dead had started to rise, yet they retained their consciousness. The fallen from the war, although not all of them but the few who did had strange markings that had a slight glow and they looked similar to the war paint from the middle ages. Log - 8 / 2062:-    The undead are now called Cyan and most of the normal people welcomed them. There were a few who were not happy with it and they were quick to form anti-groups to hunt them down. Log - 9 / 2065:-   The Cyan started to awaken to some unexplainable powers, unique abilities that seemed to reflect the personalities of them. The planet’s axis shifted, changing its rotation speed and the days and nights kept getting weirder.  Log - 10 / 2067:-     The newfound abilities of the Cyan changed the way mankind perceived things. Their abilities opened up new opportunities for both physical and mental stableness. Log - 11 / 2070:-    The oceans became toxic and impassable. The meteorite fragments from the time of the Starry October turned into a sustainable fuel that nearly replaced the fossil fuels. Log - 12 / 2075:-    The oceans are now a danger zone and every possible method to cross it by flight were destroyed along with many other things in the war. Cyan and the meteorite fragments together made up a new transport systems. Gates that allowed teleportation were discovered and along with the short distance teleportation, a project to connect the other side of the world has started. Log - 13 / 2076:-    The project to connect the both sides halted when the old satellites were used to scope out the southern earth. Log - 14 / 2082:-    The information about the south was kept confidential in the north. Factions formed due to the sudden secrecy and there was a new power struggle in the gale. A rogue cyan activated the closed gate in an attempt to gain support but instead of what was to be a safe passage, an infernal appeared from the other side and the only thing that actually worked against it was a cyan’s ability. Log - 15 / 2085:-    The Cyan were made officially part of the society and most of them were explorers and part of the authority. The southern side is now called flare city and is only accessible to selected people. Log - 16 / 2090:-    The Cyan with their ageless life became the guardians of the gale. They formed a council that coincides with the human council. Log - 17 / 2100:-    The old generation was nearly wiped out and the new generations changed the definition of morals and the rules of the society. Log - 18 / 2100:-    New world, new system, new life and a new journey began. With that, I woke up… The room was painted in orange by the nearly set sun. The room felt nostalgic and quite at home. I brushed the sheets aside and got up on my feet. I followed the sweet smell that made my stomach growl in hunger. As I crossed the stairs and made my way towards the kitchen, slim but firm arms wrapped around me from behind. ‘It has been hard without you, Ryan. I am just happy your back home’ she whispered in my ear. I could feel her breath on my nape, as she pulled me closer to her. She held me tight but soft enough for me to turn around and hold her myself. I pulled her closer to me, close enough to be able to see every detail of her amber colored eyes. With one hand on her back, supporting her onto myself, I closed in on her with my other hand on her cheeks. Her breath got deeper with each passing second and the room felt hotter with every little stroke of my fingers on her cheek. Stroking gently, I felt her lips with my thumb and leaned my forehead to hers. She was blushed red and her eyes were closed tightly as soon as I leaned on her. Her fingers gently stroked my hair and her slender arms rested on my shoulders, supporting her as I held her up on her toes. I leaned in closer to kiss her but stopped as soon as I was close enough to feel her shallow breath. ‘Renae-’ I uttered and no sooner I did utter that name, she opened her eyes but not with ecstasy and I was met with quite a skilled knee to my groin. She hid her face and stomped on me over and over, while I was on the ground trying to shield myself with my arms. In the midst of this little mishap, I saw tears trickling down her cheeks as she kept kicking me without mercy. As soon as she started to slow down, I caught her legs and pulled her down, rolled over and got on top of her. She still hid her face using her hands but I forced her arms to her sides. She turned away but it was clear that she was sad rather than angry. The ends of her eyes were pink on her pale skin and her mouth was slightly open. Her neck was bare but had the most seductive glow that made her freckles look stunningly beautiful. Unable to control myself, I leaned in again but this time, our lips met and she felt more relaxed with time. We were on the ground for quite a while, kissing and sometimes rolling over each other, taking turns on top. It was not just her that felt more relaxed but I was feeling more like my own self too. Memories fell into places and my situation felt more and more sensible. With every cog that sets into place in my mind, I wanted to feel her on me more and more. We were getting aggressive with each other as we struggled for dominance over the other. I pushed her back as soon as I had the chance and wrapped my arms around her hips to lift her up. As soon as we got off the ground, her legs wrapped around my waist and she pulled my head towards her with one hand in my hair and the other under my chin. I could not help myself anymore, so I slid my hand under her top and held her neck from under it. I hit hard on the wall behind me, but neither of us had any thought of slowing down. I was filled with a kind of euphoria with every memory that filled the void in my head but at the same time, I felt incredibly drained. I carried her upstairs, all the way to the bedroom and dropped her on the bed. Half-n***d and covered in sweat, I took off my shirt and started to undress her as she eased back onto the bed. The occasional screaming and moaning filled the room and the night was lost to our reunion after six years…
