1. Rude man
The afternoon sunlight streamed through the shop’s window, casting a warm glow over the rows of flowers. The air was filled with the fragrance of roses and lilies, blending with the earthy scent of fresh soil, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
Sophia , wearing an apron, skillfully trimmed the excess branches of the bouquet in her hands. Her flower shop, “Bloom & Grace,” though small, was delicately arranged and loved by the regular customers.
But at this moment, Sophia couldn’t shake the growing sense of anxiety gnawing at her.
She stood behind the counter, flipping through the latest invoices, her brows furrowing deeper with each passing second. The shop’s finances were deteriorating, and the looming debts felt suffocating. The calls from the bank demanding payment were becoming more frequent.
She rubbed her temples, muttering to herself, "How much longer can this go on..."
The bell above the door jingled as a customer entered, snapping her back to reality. She quickly replaced her troubled expression with a warm smile. “Welcome! How may I assist you today?”
A few minutes later, after preparing the bouquet, she handed it to the customer and watched them leave. The smile faded as she let out a sigh, her thoughts immediately returning to the encounter from a few days ago—Alexander Knight at the charity gala.
She rolled her eyes at the memory.
"Arrogant, aloof, self-righteous,rude man" she grumbled silently.
That man was like a walking textbook on capitalism—proud, detached, and even carrying an air of danger. One sentence from him could send shockwaves through an entire industry, but she wasn’t the least bit impressed.
In fact, she regretted attending that gala. If her friend hadn’t dragged her along, she would have avoided that world full of power plays and hidden agendas entirely.
Yet, fate seemed determined to entwine her with him.
As she thought back to the words he had spoken that night, “After tonight, your world will never be the same.”, she couldn’t help but scoff.
“What does he even mean by that?” she muttered, shaking her head. She secretly hoped she'd never have to cross paths with him again.
But clearly, fate had other plans.

2. The Flower Shop Changes Hands
Later that afternoon, as Sophia was taking inventory, the door to the shop suddenly opened.
She looked up and saw a sharply dressed man walking in, holding a document.
“Miss Lane,” he greeted politely. “I’m here from Knight Enterprises, and I have something to inform you.”
Sophia raised an eyebrow, confused. “Inform me of what?”
The man smiled slightly and handed her the document. “As of today, Knight Enterprises has acquired your flower shop.”
The air around her seemed to freeze.
“W-What?!” she exclaimed, unable to believe what she was hearing.
The man maintained his professional composure as he explained, “Your debts have been absorbed by Knight Enterprises, and the ownership of this shop has been transferred to us.”
Sophia felt as if a lightning bolt had struck her.
She quickly flipped through the document, scanning the contents. It confirmed that her shop’s ownership had indeed been transferred to Knight Enterprises, meaning she was no longer the owner of the place she had worked so hard to build.
“This is… impossible! I didn’t agree to this!” she sputtered, feeling the anger rise in her chest.
The lawyer, however, remained calm and continued, “Miss Lane, your loan payments had long been overdue. The bank was planning to auction off the shop, and Mr. Knight preemptively acquired the debt and the ownership rights.”
Sophia’s hands clenched around the document, and a sense of helplessness washed over her.
Her shop… the business she had fought for, the legacy she had built with so much effort, was now in the hands of that man.
She wanted to argue, to shout, but she knew she had no grounds to do so. If Knight Enterprises hadn’t bought the debt, the bank would have seized everything.
But that didn’t mean she was going to accept this situation.
“I want to see Alexander Knight,” she demanded, her voice filled with determination.

3. Entering His Trap
When Sophia finally arrived at Knight Enterprises, she felt like a mere ant in a jungle of towering buildings. The receptionist led her into a pristine lobby, where everything screamed wealth and power.
Soon, she was escorted into a massive office, where Alexander Knight was sitting behind a large mahogany desk, looking out the window, his posture impeccable. He gave her a slow, knowing smile as she walked in.
“Miss Lane,” his deep, calm voice greeted her, as though he’d known she’d come. “I trust you’ve seen the papers?”
Sophia stood stiffly, struggling to keep her emotions in check. “You acquired my flower shop. What do you want from me?”
Alexander tilted his head slightly, his eyes cold yet sharp. “It’s simple. I need a fiancée.”
Sophia froze, blinking in disbelief. “What?”
He leaned forward, fingers steepled. “From now on, your shop belongs to me. If you want it back, you’ll need to meet my terms.”
Sophia felt her stomach churn. “And what are your terms?” she asked, her voice tight with frustration.
Alexander’s lips curved into a slight smile, his gaze never leaving hers. “You’ll marry me. At least, publicly. It’ll be a marriage of convenience.”
Sophia’s mind raced as she tried to process his words.
“Why me? Why not someone else?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
“I need someone with a vested interest in this situation. Someone who can understand the stakes,” he answered coolly. “You, Miss Lane, fit the bill.”
Sophia felt the world tilt around her. This was happening. She had no choice.
“Are you threatening me?” she whispered, barely able to keep her voice steady.
“I’m offering you a solution,” Alexander said, his tone unbothered. “The choice is yours.”
Sophia felt trapped, suffocated by the reality that she had no option but to agree. If she refused, her shop would be gone forever.
“Fine,” she said, her voice shaking slightly but determined. “I’ll do it.”

4. Welcome to My World
Just as she finished speaking, Alexander stood up from his desk, his movements fluid and deliberate. Before she could react, he was right in front of her, his hand reaching out to steady her waist.
Sophia barely had time to react before he pulled her into his arms, the suddenness of the action catching her off guard. She was pressed against his chest, her breath catching in her throat, the warmth of his body surrounding her.
Her heart raced as her mind tried to process what was happening. His scent—cold, clean, yet somehow intoxicating—filled her senses.
“Welcome to my world, Sophia,” Alexander whispered, his voice low and commanding.
She stood there, stunned, her body tense with the shock of his unexpected embrace. His words echoed in her mind as she tried to regain control over her breathing.
In that moment, she felt a strange mix of fear and something else she couldn’t quite name. She didn’t know what kind of world she was stepping into, but she knew one thing for sure—her life would never be the same again.
