Chapter 9

“So today we have some conference meetings to attend so you are coming home with me or shall we go to your place.” Noah asked reaching for his own locker.

This guy carries only one notebook and does better than of the people but not me.

“Okay we will go to your place. I’ll call Cassie, you call Arvin to be present there with all the important files.” Saying so I took my book for 3 periods  that is until lunch and put it in my backpack.

“So you will be attending this year award function or as always I would be the one.”

“Nope you go. You are doing a great job so yeah.” I said before entering my class. Taking my seat in the last, my usual spot I took out my books and was ready for class.

“You, what do you think of yourself. How dare you speak anything in front of dad, you just wait. Reach home and I’ll teach you what it is to come in way.” Emily said angrily. Of course her plan has failed miserably whatever it was. She walked off to take her seat. The day went by at its own pace and soon I was sitting in the car with one and only Noah.

“So you will change at my place, I guess mom would be supper happy. She’s been mentioning you a lot these days after all you’ve not blessed with your presence this long.” Noah being himself said and when I didn’t reply he called mom and said we will be there and to prepare a dress for me.

As usual Mrs. Stanford was supper happy as she is a fashion designer and has 2 sons so she adores me lot. Since they know my story they treat me as their own.

Soon we were entering the building only to be greeted by a supper excited Mrs. Stanford by the door.

As soon as I stepped out of my side of door I was pulled into a tight hug and the warmth gave away who it was so I didn’t have to worry for once. I let go of my barriers and hugged her tightly.

“Oh my I thought you’ve forgotten us. Alas look you are here just as lively as always, but before anything else lets go in and I want all the updates.” while saying this she dragged inside with herself.

“So how have you been and what’s up with your life” taking a seat beside me, taking my hand in her and pulling them on her own lap she asked.

“Everything is good, I’m fine and we are here for the meeting” saying so I leaned in more to her for more comfort.

“Yes you also have a son who has just returned after a long day but you only see your oh so lovely daughter.” Noah huffed entering the kitchen and bringing us water.

“Oh I forgot you both must be hungry. You people eat and I’ll bring the suit I recently designed.” Saying so mom excused herself.

“Aww someone is upset so let’s eat, freshen up and head up we have a meeting to attend.”

“Ok.”

After eating we went to our own ways, me into the guest room and he to his own room. Soon mom was there with a really exquisite suit. I was just gawking at it when I heard a laugh.

“Oh love it’s your’s you shouldn’t look at it like that, come put it on let me see.” Saying so she pushed me into the room. Oh sorry I never mention how beautiful their mansion is. Yes they owned a mansion it was really warm, welcoming and beautiful you would just fall in love with it. And yes mom makes me most of dresses. She says every best is for me and everyone can take the better ones.

So after putting the suit and checking myself out I exit the washroom only to see Noah was also there and both of them were looking at me as if somebody ran a truck on them but I didn’t look that bad, did I. I mean I am pretty and all but this suit is on the next level. Clearing my throat I waited for them to say something.

“Oh my you look much prettier than I thought. You look like a business women plus sexy all at once.” Mom gushed over.

But Noah was surprised. “Yeah you look good and do please be seated in the meeting and don’t move. Please do this much for me.”

Giving him a confused glare I asked “What, sometimes I just don’t understand this guy just what does he want.”

“Let’s go we are getting late” saying so he bounced the question pretty well.

“Okay are Arvin and Cassie here.”

“Yup, let’s go.”

We borrowed uncle’s study for the meeting and proceeded.

“Okay let’s start”

The meeting went pretty well and we succeeded in grabbing the deal. So to celebrate went off to the food street near the lake.

After food we all went our own way.

“So good luck for the competition. I think you wouldn’t be in class for someday.” Noah said

“Let’s see there’s just this last submission then I’ll be over with and just the exams will be left. Goodbye, goodnight.” Saying so I left.
