The cheesecake and key lime pie arrived in short order, and Landon added coffee to go with his. Lizzie opted for tea. “They both look amazing,” she remarked, eyeing the desserts.
He picked up his fork. “Shall we?”
“Absolutely!” she grinned. They each started at one end of each dessert, slowly working their way to the middle of each plate.
“These are both fantastic! I’m glad you suggested we order both, I would have hated to miss out on either one,” she told him before taking another bite of the cheesecake.
“Me too,” he agreed. Finally, they arrived at one bite left of each. “Which would you prefer?” Landon asked.
“Hmm,” she pondered. “I really think I’m going to have to finish out with.... key lime.”
