The Only Princess of Ember World

All of the servant, guards and King Oliver heard the first cry of a baby. They are all waiting outside the royal bedroom as Queen Louise started to deliver the princess. The princess of Ignis Kingdom was born but they also lose their former queen, Queen Thea on the same day. The attendant of Queen Thea opened the door of the royal bedroom. King Oliver saw his wife carrying a baby in her arms. He quickly come to his wife and daughter. “Congratulations King Oliver and Queen Louise!” Attendants, guards and servants bow their head as a sign of respect for the newly born princess. “Do you have already a name for our beautiful princess?” King Oliver asked his wife. He knows that Queen Louise have already given a name for their daughter. “She is Princess Erysthea Louise Golez.” King Oliver kissed his wife on the forehead. He is thankful that his wife is strong. She delivered their daughter safely. He carried Princess Erythea in his arms. He must say that he is now complete because he is a father now. The love and happiness he felt when he met Queen Louise is what exactly he feels right now. Those innocent eyes and tiny pinkish lips that captured his heart. His wife and his daughter was exactly look alike. “Princess Erythea Louise Golez.” All of the people turned their gaze to the man entered the room. Almost all of them knows who he is. He is about six feet tall, have brown eyes, messy hair and pointed nose. “Guardian Chase, what are you doing here?” King Oliver were shocked seeing the guardian of his mother. His mother is already old and he don’t like what he’s thinking right now. At time like this, they were expecting a new guardian for their daughter. But seeing Guardian Chase, he knew there is something off. “I’m sorry King Oliver. Your mother is gone. And from now on, I am the guardian of your daughter.” King Oliver and Queen Louise started to cry. Queen Thea didn’t have a chance to see her granddaughter before passing away. Guardian Chase on the other hand, marked the princess as a sign that he will be the guardian of her. In his 300 years of being a guardian, he already guarded five royalty and Princess Erythea was the sixth. He carried the princess in his arms and stared at her innocent face. The baby princess smiled at him that makes his heart beats fast. She even touch his face that makes him smile. This is the first time that he feels like this on his princess. “I think she likes you Guardian Chase.”, the queen commented. Another life, another royalty and another adjustment, this is what Guardian Chase was thinking. Being a guardian, it is his duty to protect a royalty until it’s last breath. “Queen Louise, I need to see mother.” King Oliver kissed his wife and daughter. He looked at Guardian Chase and Guardian Andrew, the guardian of Queen Louise. He walked out of the door and went straightly to his mother’s room. He saw Queen Thea peacefully sleeping in her bed. He gently kissed his mother in the forehead and bid his goodbye. His father and mother are now together and he believes that they are now in a good place. “King Oliver, the king and queen of the three kingdoms are here to welcome the new princess and also, to pay respect to late Queen Thea.” Guardian Simon said. “Just tell to the servants to prepare the function hall.” “Yes King Oliver.” Guardian Simon bow his head before heading to the function hall. Meanwhile, Queen Louise fixed herself as she needs to face also the royals of other kingdoms. She wears a red gown made of silk with embroidered lace and ruby gems. As a tradition, she didn’t wear any jewelries until Princess Erythea turns one year old. Without any jewelry except her crown, Queen Louise is still stunningly beautiful. Princess Erythea wears a white dress covered with a red cloak which is made of silk also. She was carried by her Guardian Chase as they went straightly to the function hall. “Royals of Ember World, I present to you, the Princess of Ignis Kingdom, Princess Erythea Louise Golez.” The whole function hall was filled with applause and greetings. As a tradition, any Ember people lives outside the palace are not allowed to see the face of the princess. This is the main reason why Princess Erythea was covered with red cloak. Princess Erythea will show her face when she turned 18 years old. After the little introduction of the princess, Guardian Chase bring the princess to her room. King Oliver and Queen Louise stayed in the function hall to have a dinner with the other royals and after their dinner, they will pay respect to the late Queen Thea. “Congratulations for having a princess King Oliver and Queen Louise.” The king of Aqua Kingdom greeted the proud parents. “Thank you King Jude.” All of the royals are now seated in the dining to have their dinner. Their guardians have separate table which is not that far from the royals’ table. “And now I am thinking, since you have a daughter and I have a son, maybe in the future, they can be together so the two kingdoms will have a strong bond.” When he heard the news about the pregnancy of Queen Louise, he prayed to the heaven. He wished a princess so that her son will have a future wife from Ignis Kingdom. “We can talk about it sooner.” King Oliver have the same idea with King Jude. Their kingdoms are totally opposite with each other, fire and water, and this agreement will make the two kingdoms have a strong bond. It will prevent any conflicts between the two in the future. Queen Louise doesn’t like the idea of arrange marriage. She still believes in love just like the love she have with her husband. She wants Princess Erythea to experience that kind of love. She will remind King Oliver later about it. Her daughter have a heart and they cannot teach their daughter to love a person specifically. “What about us? We have also a prince.” King Ryan said, the king of Aer Kingdom. “Exactly.” King William commented, the king of Terra Kingdom. Queen Louise took a deep sigh. As of now, the only kingdom who have a princess is the Ignis Kingdom. The Aer, Terra and Aqua Kingdom have princes only. “Hey kings, don’t pressure Queen Louise. As a mother, it’s awkward to talk our son’s and daughter’s future. I mean, they are still a child especially Princess Erythea who is newly born.”, Queen Sophie protested, the queen of Aqua Kingdom and husband of King Jude. “I’m sorry Queen Louise. We are just excited about the future of the children.” King Jude said. Queen Louise just smile. King Oliver held her hand and squeezed it as if he was saying that everything will be alright. “For now, let’s enjoy our son’s and daughter’s childhood. Maybe we can talk about this when they reach the right age.” King William said that was agreed by everybody. Meanwhile, Guardian Chase was silently staring to the princess. Princess Erythea was peacefully sleeping in her crib. Guardian Chase can’t help to touch the pinkish cheeks of the princess. She has a dimple on her right cheek. She also have long eyelashes, tiny pinkish lips, pointed nose and a blonde curly hair. Guardian Chase remembered the late Queen Thea when she was a baby. They were exactly look alike. After some time, Princess Erythea woke up and started to cry. Guardian Chase carry the princess in his arms and called the servant to make a milk for her. He tried to rock the baby princess in his arms. He even start to sing lullaby to make her calm. As soon as Princess Erythea hears the soft lullaby, she immediately stop from crying. She lift her tiny hands and touch the face of her guardian. Guardian Chase feels electrified and makes his heart beats fast. He feels the warmth of the baby princess. “Guardian Chase, the milk is ready.” He lifted his gaze to the servant holding the feeding bottle for the baby princess. He immediately lay down the princess in her crib and give the milk. He sat on the couch as he watching the princess. He tried to calm his heart and Princess Erythea started to sleep again. “She really looks like the late Queen, didn’t she?” Guardian Andrew took the feeding bottle from the baby princess and put it on the table. “What are you doing here?” “The Royals are now paying their respect to the late queen. We are not allowed there so I went up here to check the princess.” Guardian Andrew is the guardian of Queen Louise. He lives for about 200 years and served 3 royals already. “Alright, I think the baby princess is fine with you.” Guardian Andrew added. “Of course, I am more experienced than you. What do you expect?” He said jokingly. “I know. I just want to say that it all happens to us. Just don’t let the history repeats itself.” Those meaningful words strike Guardian Chase. Guardian Andrew went out of the room. Guardian Chase looked at the sleeping princess. Yes, he don’t want to repeat the history, the history that broke all the guardians because of one mistake.
