7 - THE FIRST PRINCE

The moment Princess Erysthea enter her room, she quickly went to her walk-in closet and picked up some clothes. She decided to start her plan this evening.
She chooses the simplest dress she has. For a princess in disguise, she needs to look like ordinary people of the Ember World. She even put her hair in a messy bun even though it's not allowed as per the tradition. She can only tie her hair once she is married. It's the rule for a princess like her.
She looked at the mirror. She took a sigh as she sees herself differently. She's now ready for the outside world and she's hoping that no one can know that she is a princess.
She closed her eyes and think of the Universal Academy. And when she opened her eyes, she heard different voices. To her knowledge, the academy has classes until 8:00 in the evening so definitely there were still students in the place. She knows that the three princes were still there.
She started to walk while looking at the main garden of the academy. The sun went down but because of many lightning, it was still bright and she can see the beauty of the school. Many students were walking here and there. It was a busy evening and no one even noticed her.
While the princess is currently enjoying her view. It was her first time seeing many people and her heart was filled with joy and happiness. It's like a dream come true. She can't even imagine that she will witness this kind of situation. No maids, no guards, and no fancy place, only the true world that was forbidden to her.
Because of the joy she's feeling right now, she absently minded walking through the pathways of the academy. She doesn't mind if she bumped into other students. She just stared at the faces of all the students and she was wearing this weird smile.
"Who's this girl?" the most popular girl named Athena asked her friends when they saw the princess.
"I don't know. Probably a low-type girl. Look at her dress, it's so cheap," one of her friends answered.
Athena wears her devilish smile. "Well, I think we have now a target for the whole school year."
Athena and her three friends named Betty, Claire and Sophie are the most popular girls in the academy. They are smart, pretty, and belong to a high-class society. They are one of the richest students. Because of their popularity, they are the mean girls that always target scholars or those students that belong to the low-class society. They are considered the untouchable group aside from the three princes.
Betty and Claire walk toward Princess Erysthea. While the princess was a bit surprised when two girls suddenly blocked her way. She doesn't know what to do since it is her first time meeting people other than the people in the palace. She can't help but stare at the two girls. The girl on her right side has short blonde hair, deep blue eyes, and thin lips. She feels the fire energy on this girl so probably she is from the Ignis Kingdom. While the girl from her left side has long curly hair, greenish eyes, and thick lips. She senses the air energy so the girl is from the Aer Kingdom.
"Hey, girl! Buy us some snacks. Faster!" the short-hair commanded to her.
"What?" Princess Erysthea asked in disbelief. She doesn't know who are these girls and yet, they are ordering her to buy them food.
Athena heard the reaction of the princess. She even lifts her right eyebrow and walks toward the three girls.
"It looks like you don't know us," Athena said in an angry tone.
Princess Erysthea nodded her head. She doesn't know these three or no, four girls in front of her.
"Well, how sad. Buy us some snacks and we will introduce ourselves to you," Athena said wearing her mischievous smile.
"Is that necessary? I mean, do I need to buy you food before introducing yourselves?"
What the princess learned from her guardian is that the first step in knowing people is to introduce oneself. Be polite and always wear smile. But the four girls are so mean to her. They even rolled their eyes when she asked the question. This is not the scenario she's always figuring out when meeting new people. This is not what Guardian Chase taught her.
"I can't believe this! She just asked us a question," the short hair exclaimed.
"Okay then, we will introduce ourselves to you," Athena said as she raised her right hand and was ready to slap the princess.
But before her hand landed on the face of the princess, someone grabbed her hand. And when she looked at that someone, she was stunned when she realized it was Prince Zeus.
"What do you think you're doing?" the prince asked in a deep and husky tone.
"We were just introducing ourselves," Athena answered.
"By what? Slapping her?" Prince Zeus asked in disbelief.
Princess Erysthea looks at the newcomer. She realizes that it was Prince Zeus of the Aqua Kingdom. She knew the looks of the prince because of the picture on his profile. She even bite her lips as she remembered why she was there. She almost forgot her purpose because of the four mean girls.
The prince suddenly grabbed her hand. She's also not allowed to let other men touch her aside from her father and guardian. But because of her not-so-good idea, she broke already many rules.
"Let's go," the prince seriously said to her.
She didn't utter any words because she doesn't know what to say. She's also not sure if the prince is talking to her.
"Wait, Prince Zeus. Do you know that girl?" Athena asked the prince.
"Does it matter?"
The prince gently pulled her to whatever they will go. Until now, she's in a state of shock and can't even speak one word. She's here because of the three princes but why she's nervous right now? What on earth did she feel right now?
