I sighed as we pulled up in front of a familiar house, one I lived in for 19 years of my life. I hated this place, I can't wait to get out already.

Asher opened the door for me.

He's been so professional and uptight ever since that day at my office. I regret this honestly, but I just have to.

I held my hands out for Rebecca, she took my hands and smiled.

"This is your parents house?", she asked.

"Unfortunately", I mumbled.

"Okay I know you're rich but, this rich?", she asked.

"Don't say that to them, especially my dad, he has a terrible ego", I said.

Everyone bowed when we walked in.

I rolled my eyes when I saw Anthony and his wife in there already.

"Oh here's my favourite little boy", my mother said coming to hug me.

"Hi mom", I said hugging her back.

"God I missed you, you don't even come around or check up on me again ".

"I'm sorry, you know how work is, well the good thing is I'm here", I Said and kissed her forehead.

"Come to the table please ", she said dragging us there.

My father was there sitting down as usual giving no f**k.

"Hello father", I Said.

"You're 40 minutes late ", he stated.

"Traffic was crazy and-"

"Excuses, just like your brother, is that how you want to run my company? with excuses?".

I looked at Anthony, he rolled his eyes.

There's one thing we both agree on actually, and that's the fact that we both hate our father.

"Rebecca this is my mother, This is my brother, Anthony, that's this wife Camilla, and this is my father", I said to Rebecca.

"Mom, Dad, Anthony, Camille, this is Rebecca, my fiancee ".

My dad looked up from his phone, I could see shock on his face.

"Nice to meet you, oh my gosh you're so beautiful ", My mother Said.

Anthony gave her a hand shake and she hugged Camille.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr Greenwood, I've heard a lot about you ", Rebecca said.

"And I haven't heard a thing about you ", my dad replied.

My mother noticed things getting awkward, "Please Sit down, let the chefs take your order, we have everything here", she said calling one of the maids.

"So, Fiancee huh?", my brother asked.

I already knew what was coming.

"Yes".

"What happened to Veronica? I thought you were planning a wedding with her?".

"She was cheating on me apparently, we can't have a cheating wife as the company's Mistress ", I stated.

"Awwn, I really thought you two were meant for each other ", my mother said.

"Well you forced the two together, I already told you she was a slut but you disagreed ", my father said.

I swallowed hard, "She's not a slut dad, she just cheated ".

My father didn't reply.

"So tell me about yourselves, how did you both meet? tell me", my mother asked.

They served us food.

"Rebecca has been my best friend for years, we knew we loved each other but, I guess we were both afraid to admit it. After the drama with Veronica, I knew I had to tell her how I felt, and she felt the same way and, I knew she was my wife ".

"So you broke up with Veronica a month ago and now you're together with her, hmm interesting. Let's hope she's not another gold digger ", Anthony said.

"Not everyone is like your wife Anthony ", I stated.

"Excuse you, at least I have a wife, who is pregnant, you've been used by 3 women in two years, I won't be surprised if she's going to be the fourth".

"No, I'm not interested in his money or whatever, I actually love Sebastian. I really do".

I smiled and kisses her shortly on her lips.

My mother smiled.

"So honey, what do you say? Sebastian has a fiancee now, what are you saying about the company?".

He was quiet for seconds.

"I don't know if he deserves it ", my dad said.

I sighed.

"He does ", I heard Asher say from behind.

My heart sank, Oh God what is this man doing?

"Excuse me and who are you?", Anthony asked.

"I'm Asher, his bodyguard, I've worked with him for a month now and I can honestly say that he's good at his job.

Works extra hours everyday, first to work and last to leave. Plus everyone in the company loves him, just one day he was off and stressed it affected the whole company, we knew something was wrong.

Mr Sebastian has all the characteristics of a good CEO, I'm very certain sir, sorry for interrupting ".

I gave him a small smile.

My father looked at Asher for a while, I was expecting comment, something harsh, mean or sarcastic.

He sighed and went back to his food.

"Let's see how things go", he said.

I smiled a little, a small smile.

That was his way of saying yes.

"Dad I have a family already. Remember you said a solid family a solid company, my family is solid", Anthony stated.

"Really? cuz the complains I'm having from the company is quite the opposite. Apparently your p***s seems to be very solid too there", My dad said.

"They're just mere rumors, people say bad things about people to bring them down ", he defended.

"Really? so why don't I hear these rumors about your brother too huh?",he asked.

Anthony paused.

"Dad, I went to business school, I know how to run this company, Sebastian is only an Engineer. He can work with the practical aspects, I run the main company, it's perfect that way."

"Anthony you haven't proven to me that you deserve that company. The only reason Sebastian isn't already CEO is because he's not married, he's proven himself and he has people like his bodyguard who has only worked a month testifying for him".

I turned to Asher and smiled, "Thank you ", I mouthed.

He looked away immediately.

He's still hurt.

But he saved me.

"Dad I-".

"Prove yourself worthy Anthony, I'll push this to the end of the year, you both have 5 months to prove to me that you deserve This company, whoever show's himself worthy earns it, I think that's fair ".

Another reason Anthony and I are constantly in competition? my dad.

My dad always set us up together to prove who is more than a man.

Now I'm in a competition with my own brother to earn the company.
