I Can Never be Enough for Him
Yvonne's POV
My inverted n*****s slept bluntly behind the thin linen shirt with increased areolar radius just like he wanted. I cupped my t**s in my hands and felt them fully, before the full-length mirror. Finally, he would find me worthy. They were fuller, overflowing, and I could barely cover them in one grasp, unlike before.
I smiled, anything to make him happy. I needed that improvement after all. I wasn't ashamed of my nakedness, not anymore, not after everything.
My fingers rose tentatively, making contact with my own skin. The scar along the bridge of my nose was almost invisible now, a faint reddish line that caught the light only when I turned my face at a certain angle. They were smaller too, nostrils reduced.
I remembered the consultation, the surgeon's careful words about "refining the profile," and how I'd nodded along, already picturing the way my Alpha would look at me afterward.
My fingertips hovered over the healing incisions beneath my breasts. The skin there was still pink, soft, and tender. I pressed gently, wincing at the dull aching pain that reminded me of the operating room's sterile chill, the countdown to unconsciousness, the desperate hope that had carried me through.
Then I gathered the robe aside, just enough to reveal the longest scar, a thick, puckered line running across my lower abdomen. This one was different. What had I not taken for Jeremy, my alpha?
This one hadn't been about beauty. This one was about survival. His survival, yet I didn't see scars when I looked at myself. I saw promises. Every cut, every stitch, every sleepless night spent in recovery was a step closer to the wolf I loved.
I smiled at my reflection, still unfamiliar in some ways. Soon the new me would feel like me.
"It was worth it," I whispered to the woman in the glass. "All of it. Now I can be enough for him."
The dressing table beside me was cluttered with bottles and brushes, but one item dominated the space, an ivory invitation embossed with the Alpha's crest. I'd carefully sliced it open three nights ago. The wax lay in fragments, like promises broken before they'd even been made.
I picked up the invitation again, my fingers trembling slightly as they traced the elegant script. I'd read it dozens of times, memorizing every word.
"You are cordially invited to attend the Pack Introduction Ceremony as my Luna. Formal attire required. Your presence is requested at the Grand Ceremonial Grounds. The sacred rites will commence at sunset"
I'd read between the lines, finding the hidden meaning in every formal phrase. My Alpha was finally ready to present me to the entire pack as the woman he had chosen. After everything I'd given, my kidney to save him. My face, my body, my very identity to satisfy him. He was finally going to make me Luna.
I laughed softly, the sound light and sweet in the quiet room, then pressed the invitation to my chest, close to where my heart beat rapidly, joyfully, beneath my new breasts.
"Tonight," I breathe. "Tonight, I'll stand beside him. Before thousands of wolves. And they'll see that I'm worthy. That I always was."
"He will love me now" I whispered, and in that moment, I believed it with every fibre of my transformed body and being.
The robe slipped from my shoulders, pooling on the floor. I stood naked before the mirror, examining every inch of the body I'd rebuilt from scratch according to his descriptions. The softer curves of my hips, the fuller swell of my breasts, the delicate arch of my new nose. The old girl was gone. This Luna was ready for her alpha.
My fingers closed around the bottle. I cougher looking up at fluorescent lights shimmering down brightly, wincing as my throat tinged with pain, then I swallowed the pill prescribed by the doctor, before taking some water.
The second surgery had been more extensive.
"I'm sure," I had said. "I've never been more sure of anything."
I'd woken from the surgery in agony, my entire chest compressed in tight bandages, bruises blooming across my skin like stripes. My breasts had been reshaped, enlarged, and lifted to create the fuller, more womanly figure that the Alpha had suggested.
The third surgery had been the worst, liposuction to create wider hips, a procedure that had left her with deep bruises that made me wince every time I moved. I'd slept sitting up for weeks because lying down hurt too much. I'd cried myself to sleep sometimes, wondering if I'd gone too far.
And then I'd remember his smile again. That slow, approving smile that had been the first thing I'd ever wanted. That memory carried me through every painful recovery, every sleepless night, every moment of doubt.
*************************************
"His condition is worsening rapidly," the doctor had said, his face grim beneath the bright lights. "The Alpha's kidneys are failing. Without a transplant within seventy-two hours, even the strongest wolf's healing factor won't be enough. We've tested every pack member. Not a single compatible donor.
I remembered the silence and muttering that had fallen over the gathered wolves. The way my step-sister, Miranda, had stepped back, as though distance could protect her from obligation.
And then I had felt the words rising in my throat, unstoppable as a river breaking through a dam.
"Test me."
The doctor had looked at me with something between pity and concern. "You understand the risks, Luna? Losing a kidney isn't a minor procedure. There are long-term health implications. Recovery can be painful. Your life..."
"I don't care," I'd said, and the words had tasted like truth. "Test me."
I'd been a match. Of course, I had. It was as though fate itself had been waiting for this moment, this opportunity for me to prove that I would do anything, anything, for the man I loved.
The operation had been brutal. The cold of the operating table and the sharp sting of the IV.
When I'd woken, the pain had been unimaginable, a searing, gut-wrenching agony that made me gasp with excruciation. But my first words, hoarse and desperate, had been: "Is he alive?"
The doctor had nodded, and I'd smiled through the tears, through the horror, through the exhaustion that made my limbs feel like lead. He was alive. I'd saved him. I'd given him a piece of myself, and he would live, and love me.
Months later, when I was still hobbling around the pack house, still clutching my side when the pain flared unexpectedly, Jeremy, my Alpha, visited me.
"Yvonne," he'd said, and I'd felt my heart stutter in my chest. I'd tried to sit up, to straighten my hair, to look presentable, but he'd waved me back down.
"How are you feeling?"
"Better," I'd lied. The truth was that the pain had been relentless, a constant companion that reminded me of my sacrifice every waking moment. "Much better."
He was better, that was all I cared about after the kidney transplant.
"You know," he'd said almost absentmindedly, "I've always thought you'd look prettier with a slimmer nose and fuller shape. Something more refined. More..." He'd waved a hand. "...noble"
I'd laughed, assuming he was teasing. He wasn't.
He'd mentioned fuller breasts, wider hips, softer features. He'd made "little suggestions" that I'd stored in my heart like treasures. Not as criticism but as dreams I could fulfill, to make me worthy.
He'd left without thanking me for the kidney and I thought the third surgery would be my last and best sacrifice.

Now, as I stepped through the grand gates of the pack grounds for the ceremony, my body was still aching from the after pains of surgery. Everything looked perfect and yet... something felt wrong. The ceremony drums were in full swing already.
Then someone congratulated me as I approached the front.
"You're so brave for coming," said a wolf she barely recognized, an older woman with kind eyes and a knowing expression.
I blinked. "What do you mean?"
The woman just patted my arm and disappeared into the crowd.
I passed the ceremonial torches, the air thick with musk and raw desire. Then the sounds reached me, wet, rhythmic slapping of bodies. It was tradition that the alpha claimed his Luna before the entire pack.
"Mmm... Jeremy... yes, just like that," Miranda, my stepsister's voice floated through the clearing, thick with pleasure.
My stomach twisted but I kept walking toward the central podium, legs feeling heavier with every step. The pack watched in silent victory, amused smiles, and festive joy as the mating carried on.
By the time I had reached the full front, I felt my blood congeal, the invitation letter falling freely from my weakened hands. Jeremy was on his knees behind my sister Miranda, her body arched beautifully on all fours.
Tears prickled on my eyelids, welling behind my eyes till my vision blurred, I swallowed hard as they strolled down my cheeks freely. Maybe it was all a bad dream, Jeremy wouldn't do that to me, not after everything I'd sacrificed, so I pinched myself so hard, it drew blood from my flesh. Nothing changed; I was still here, and it was real.
I should've left the scene immediately, run off to goddess-knows-the-f*cking where, but the shock immobilized me.
He moved with slow, deliberate rolls of his hips, his thick c**k sliding in and out of her in long, deep strokes. I could see how her slick p***y stretched around him, glistening with her arousal as he pulled back almost fully before sinking in again. Miranda moaned shamelessly, pushing back to meet him.
"Oh fuck... you're so big," she gasped. "Fill me up... please..."
Jeremy growled low, his claws lightly digging into her hips as he guided her movements. "That's it. So eager and tight for me. You feel incredible." He savored every inch as he thrust forward again, drawing long, shuddering moans from her throat.
"Ahh! Yes... deeper, Miranda! I need all of you!"
My world shattered as I stood there, watching him mate with her in the exact place meant for us.
Jeremy's golden eyes lifted and locked onto mine. A brief flicker of recognition passed over his face, but there wasno guilt. He simply smiled faintly and continued his slow, steady rhythm into Miranda.
"Welcome to my ceremony," he said, voice calm and even, like this was nothing unusual. "I figured you'd find your way here. Thanks for coming!'
Miranda whimpered, grinding back against him. "She's... she's watching us... Oh goddess, Jeremy...."
He reached around to rub slow circles over her swollen c**t, making her cry out again. "Let her watch. She deserves to see this." His gaze stayed on me as he continued thrusting, deep and unhurried. "Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate everything you did for me, the surgeries, giving me your kidney, all of it. A scentless hybrid like you... going that far? It's impressive, really. I just needed you to see this so I could clear my conscience, and show you the truth I have hidden for so long"
He leaned down, fangs grazing Miranda's shoulder before biting down firmly. She moaned loudly in ecstasy, her body trembling as she clenched around him. "Jeremy! Yes, claim me! I'm yours!"
He held the bite for a long moment, then lifted his head, blood on his lips, still buried deep inside her. His voice remained steady as he looked straight at me. "You did your best for me, but I could never claim you because my heart belonged to another. You're willing to tear herself apart for me. It was... kind, it was enough, but it was not all. This..." He thrust harder into Miranda once, drawing another broken moan from her. "This is what I want. Someone who doesn't come with all that desperate weight."
Miranda gasped and pushed back eagerly. "Mmm... f**k me harder now. I can take your knot... please, alpha..."
I chuckled bitterly. Desperate weight? That was all the sacrifices were to him.
Smudged mascara burned against my cheeks in tearful streams. My breathing was shaky as I stood there, heartbroken and humiliated. His words cut deeper than any blade. He was grateful, but only in the way one might thank a tool that had served its purpose I'd given him pieces of my body and soul, believing it would make him love me, and he had never felt anything close.
The pack's eyes were on us, but Jeremy's focus remained on her.
I tried to leave, immediately. I couldn't watch this anymore. I couldn't stand here and watch the man I'd sacrificed everything for mate my stepsister without blowing someone's head off.
The nearest guard blocked my path to the exit, his expression cold and unyielding.
"Pack law," he said. "Attendance at a sacred mating ceremony is mandatory once witnessed. Leaving before completion is considered an insult to the Alpha."
"Please," I begged, my voice breaking, breathing shakier than ever "Please, you don't understand. I can't, I can't stay here."
"Stand down," the guard said, and there was no sympathy in his eyes. Only duty.
I turned desperately toward my mother, who was standing at the edge of the crowd, eyes downcast.
"Mother," I said, reaching for her. "Mother, help me. Please."
