Emily's eyes widened as she read the article, her heart racing with shock. Alex had lost his family in a tragic car accident when he was just a teenager.
The pieces began to fall into place - Alex's tough exterior, his fear of vulnerability, his need for control. It all made sense now.
But as she delved deeper into the article, Emily realized that there was more to the story. A mysterious figure, a survivor of the accident, was mentioned. Someone who had been with Alex that fateful night.
