Chapter 13

A month has passed since Sankalp proposed to Sonia.

This month was special for Bhavesh and Shilpa as it was the month in which their best friends Sankalp and Sonia’s wedding happened.

Yes,Sankalp and Sonia got married.

Bhavesh and Shilpa were there behind all the wedding preparations.They enjoyed each and every moment of their pre-wedding,wedding and post wedding functions.

Shilpa and Bhavesh could not even express their happiness seeing Sankalp and Sonia as the bride and the bride groom.

Shilpa said with a sweet smile,

“I am so happy for Sankalp and  Sonia”.

Bhavesh smiled,

“They are lucky to have each other”.

Shilpa could not agree with him more.

“You are right Bhavesh”.

Days passed again with Bhavesh and Shilpa’s unexpressed love.

A new day arrived which became the turning point in their lives.They never expected that day to be their day in every sense.

That day Shilpa and Bhavesh were roaming around on a bike.Suddenly some goons appeared before them.They were stunned  to see them as they had seen the goons surrounding a couple only in movies.Now they were experiencing it in real.They grabbed Shilpa's hand and dragged her.Shilpa was crying.

Shilpa was panicked as she became the victim of abuse for the first time.She had only experienced love from everyone in her life.But suddenly she experienced something bigger and the worst which she had seen only in movies.Who expected that a common girl like her would also face this?

Bhavesh screamed as Shilpa being dragged away before his eyes was unbearable for him.

He screamed aloud taking her name,

“Shilpa...”

Bhavesh was not a super hero who was courageous and fearless to save the girl friend from the dangerous goons.He was a common man who was away from all these fights which were termed as heroic fights.

Infact Bhavesh got scared by their scary faces.Still he could not stop himself from requesting them to leave his beloved.

“Leave her”.

They laughed at him.

Bhavesh felt helpless and guilty about not being able to fight against them to save Shilpa.But he was not willing to accept his defeat and let them take away his Shilpa.

 So like an innocent ordinary man he closed his eyes and prayed to God to him the strength to save his girl.He managed to get the courage and punched them.

Bhavesh himself did not know how he got the courage to punch them.He could not believe that he was punching them like a movie hero.

The goons ran away to save themselves from him

Bhavesh was relieved as he could defeat the goons which he never expected to do..

He ran towards Shilpa.He was panting a lot.But he bothered only about Shilpa’s well being.

“Shilpa...are you alright?

“Yes Bhavesh.I am fine.Are you fine?You only fought with them”

Shilpa was also worried for him seeing his fight with the goons.

He replied,

“I am also ok”.

Shilpa was still in a shock seeing Bhavesh fight with goons to save her.

She asked him,

“But Bhavesh...how did you get the courage to fight with them?You were always soft, sensitive and were scared of the notorious boys of school.You used to run away from them.Then now how did you fight with the most dangerous goons?”

He looked at her emotionally.

“When I saw them taking you away I could'nt bear it and tried my level best to save you forgetting my fear.I can't imagine them taking you away from them.Because I can't live without you.I want you.I can't imagine them hurting you.It gives me pain”.

Shilpa was stunned.

Though somehow she hoped to hear these words from him some day, she never kept hopes to hear this from him in real because of the friendship barrier between them.

Shilpa asked him intensely to get a clear view of his feelings for her.

“But why Bhavesh?Why can't you live without me?”

Bhavesh shivered as he could not admit his real feelings for her.

So he lied without taking any strain.Automatically in a very natural way he lied,

“Because you are my best friend”.

Shilpa became dull as she did not want to hear him address her as his friend anymore.She wanted to be his love,not just his friend.

She asked him emotionally to make sure about his feelings for her.

“Only because I am your best friend?I can't believe it.Tell me the truth Bhavesh”.

Bhavesh shivered again as he still lacked the courage to keep his personal life open.He behaved as if he did not understand anything which she said.

“Shilpa...What else?What truth are you talking about?”

Shilpa got irritated as she felt that he was suppressing his feelings.

“Ok..you don't want to tell the truth.Right?Then I am going”.

Like an innocent kid whose friend fought with him and left Bhavesh pleaded her,

“Shilpa...please  don't  be so adamant.Please don't go”.

She gave him a weird immature expression and said,

“Don't stop me.I will listen to you only if you tell me the truth”.

She tried to walk away.Suddenly Bhavesh caught her hand.

“I will tell you why”.

Her face blossomed hearing it.

She said cutely,

“Then tell me”.

He  stammered as he was nervous to convey his feelings to her.

“I..I...”

Shilpa was becoming impatient to hear him complete his sentence.

Yet she said softly,

“Tell Bhavesh”.

Bhavesh was tensed to speak up.Realizing his tension, Shilpa knew that he needed a push from her to pour out his feelings.

So finally she managed to take the initiative.

She looked at his eyes deeply and asked him intensely,

“Do you love me Bhavesh?”

Bhavesh was stunned by her question.Because he never expected Shilpa to be so bold to ask him like this openly.

She looked at him with romantic expressions and told him,

“If you love me please tell me that you love me.Because I love you”.

Bhavesh was surprised that Shilpa also loves him like the he does.

“Shilpa..you…”

She replied shyly,

“Yes Bhavesh..I have been loving you ever since I realized the meaning of love”.

Bhavesh smiled.His smile contained the happiness which had no bounds.

Shilpa looked at him with lots of hopes.

“You also love me.Right?Then tell me that you love me”.

Even after Shilpa confessed her love, he shivered.

He still stammered,

“I..I...”

Shilpa started singing as she felt that music was the best way to bring out his feelings before her.

“I love you….I love you….”

The musical tone of her words gave him energy and brought a huge smile on his face.

Bhavesh pulled her closer looking at her eyes deeply and sang in reply to express his love for her.

“I love you too….I love you too…”

She blushed happily.Her happiness had no bounds.

Bhavesh cupped her face in his hands.

She smiled romantically leaning on his shoulder.

Bhavesh caressed her hand romantically.

Shilpa rubbed his cheek with hers romantically.

Bhavesh held Shilpa's hand and started dancing

 like crazy.

Bhavesh carried Shilpa in his arms and twirled her around.

Shilpa caressed his face being in his arms.

Bhavesh looked at her blinking his romantic eyes.

Bhavesh touched her nose sweetly.

Flower petals fell over them from the tree.Though it was a pure coincidence it seemed like they showered flowers upon them as a blessing.Bhavesh and Shilpa shook their head in excitement as the flowers fell over them..

Bhavesh and Shilpa sang together some romantic songs they loved.They were holding each others hands and lost in each other while singing.

They celebrated their most romantic moment through music.

While singing Shilpa ran away from him just like a small child for fun.

Bhavesh chased her and held her hand while singing.

He pulled her closer.

They shared a romantic eye lock.

Shilpa reached back home.Everyone noticed how happy she looked.

Keshav asked her with a smile,

“Today why our Princess is having a special glow on her face?”

Shilpa blushed.

Avantika said with a smile,

“Shilpa looks more beautiful today”.

Raj said with a mischievous smile,

“Something is there.What is the secret behind our Princess’ sweet smile?”

Rakh asked Shilpa,

“Tell Shilpa...who made you extra beautiful today?”

Shilpa blushed.

“Bhavesh proposed me”.

They all got excited.

“Wow...”

They all lifted up Shilpa in happiness.Shilpa was shy.

Bhavesh was blushing and thinking of his and Shilpa’s romantic confession.

Aryan and Gopika noticed it with a smile.

Aryan asked him,

“Why my little brother is blushing?”

Bhavesh became shy.

“Bhai....”(Brother).

Gopika said,

“Tell your bhabhi.(Sister in law)Anything happened between you and Shilpa?

Aryan was stunned as Gopika guessed that the blush on his face was caused by Shilpa.

Aryan was surprised to know that Bhavesh’s change was due to Shilpa.Aryan did not leave any chance to make fun of his brother.

“What?Did you get naughty with Shilpa?”

Bhavesh’s face turned red due to shyness.

“Oh bhai(Brother)..can you stop it?”

Gopika said,

“Aryan...you are too much”.

Aryan laughed.

“I know that my little brother has no guts to get naughty with his love interest”.

Bhavesh stared at him.

Gopika said,

“Aryan...can you please keep quiet?Stop teasing my brother in law”.

Aryan smiled,

“Ok Gopika”.

Gopika asked Bhavesh out of curiosity,

“Bhavesh..say what happened?”

Bhavesh blushed.

“I confessed my love to Shilpa and she too loves me”.

 Aryan and Gopika were so excited that they hugged Bhavesh.

Aryan said,

“Congrats Bhavesh.Your biggest wish since childhood has been fulfilled”.

Of course, the biggest wish of Bhavesh since his childhood was to be with Shilpa forever and finally it has been fulfilled with their confession of love.

Gopika said,

“We are very happy.Let God bless you both to live together happily forever”.

Bhavesh smiled.

The families of Bhavesh and Shilpa gathered together and conducted their engagement function.

Bhavesh and Shilpa exchanged the rings getting engaged to each other.

Everyone clapped their hands.

Suddenly Shilpa felt head ache.

Shilpa felt strange about the sudden head ache.

“What is wrong with me?”

Bhavesh called her,

“Shilpa...Shilpa...”

Shilpa was not paying attention to him as she was lost in her own insecure thoughts.

Bhavesh could not understand why Shilpa was not responding to him.

“Why Shilpa is not minding me during our engagement party?”

Bhavesh’s face got filled up with dullness due to this.

Suddenly Shilpa saw him.

She uttered his name,

“Bhavesh...”

Bhavesh expressed his irritation slightly regarding Shilpa ignoring him.He behaved like a small child who was avoided by his mother unknowingly.

“Don't call me.You are not bothered about me”.

Shilpa genuinely felt bad when he talked like that to her.

She said painfully,

“I am sorry Bhavesh.I don't know why.I felt strange.So I did'nt even see you around.That's the truth”.

Bhavesh felt guilty about hurting Shilpa.He did not know that his words would hurt Shilpa.

He did not wait for a second to apologize to her.

“I am sorry Shilpa.Are you ok now?”

Shilpa faked a smile and said,

“Yes, I am fine now”.

He smiled.

Bhavesh- Shilpa,Raj -Rakhi,Aryan- Gopika,Keshav- Avantika,Sankalp -Sonia danced and made the engagement party more colourful.

After the dance, Shilpa felt that her head was spinning.

She became restless thinking of the changes in her.

“Why do I feel like this?”

Shilpa had a disturbed sleep at night.
