Where you belong

An argument

Lily wakes up still enveloped in Jakes arms, in the same position they were in last night.

She looks up into his face, taking in his chiseled jawline, his perfect features and his soft lips.

Even asleep he is gorgeous. As Jakes eyelids flutter open, he looks down at Lily. Seeing her staring at him with a smile on her face.

“Hello beautiful” he murmers.

The sound of his voice sends butterflies reeling in Lily’s stomach.

“Hello you” she grins.

Jake leans down to place a kiss on her lips. As his lips meet hers she grabs his hair, pulling him closer. His lips are playing, pulling at hers. His tongue is pushing it’s way into her mouth, searching and needing more.

He groans, and Lily looks into his eyes. His eyes are black, full of lust as he pulls her body up and around so she is now straddling him. Sitting astride him she can feel his arousal through his boxers. She squirms, making him groan again.

“Lily, what are you doing to me!!” he groans out.

Lily grins, placing a kiss on his lips. A mischevious look appearing on her face.

She lightly kissed him again, then jumps off and walks into the bathroom swaying her hips as she does. Just before she enters she turns to Jake, who is staring at her confused. She blows a kiss at him and walks into the bathroom, as she does she hears a growl and him jumping out of bed.

She shuts the door just as he reaches it.

“Lily open the door” he seductively pleads.

“Sorry darling, but we have things to be doing today. I can’t let you keep me locked in your bed all day again” she chuckles. As she says this she hears a groan, and can hear him mutter something.

She opens the door, coming face to face with Jake.

“What was that you said?!” she grins.

Jake looks at her, prowling towards her “I said....” he steps closer, a mischevious smirk on his face. “That’s exactly where you should be trapped”

He reaches her and pushes his lips against hers, trailing his hand down her body.

As she groans at the feel of his touch, he pulls away looking at her wickedly. Before stepping to the sink where he proceeds to brush his teeth.

Lily groans and follows, as she brushes her teeth she becomes lost in thought.

Jake watches her, seeing her troubled expression. Once they are both finished brushing their teeth, Jake turns to Lily.

He looks into her eyes, “Lily, you don’t have to worry. You are safe with me, within my pack.”

Lily looks at him, with so many questions churning round her mind.

“Jake where IS your pack? As I’ve only ever seen one person who brought me some food that once”

He goes to reply, then pauses before responding.

“I’ve told them all to stay away from you, and out of sight” he sighs.

She looks up at him quizzically.

“But why?!” she questions. “Are you embarassed by me?”

Jake looks at her startled “Don’t be rediculous! Of course I am not, how could I ever be embarrassed of you. You are perfect. I just didn't want to overwhelm you with everything.” He looks at her pleadingly, seeking her understanding.

Lily looks at him, seeing the worry in his eyes. “Jake.... the wolf stuff surprisingly doesn’t worry me. I know it should, but bizarrely I feel like I am exactly where I am meant to be. All my life I’ve felt like an outsider looking in. Never fitting in, and I found the world around me overwhelming. I know it sounds odd, but this is the first time in my life where things have felt normal to me!” Lily looks into Jakes eyes, before continuing.

“What I am worried about is what happened the other day. Who took me? What if they get me again?! and who is it that has been watching me?!”

Jake takes one of Lily’s hands in his, giving it a squeeze. Lily smiles slightly at this small reassuring gesture.

“Lily.... I’m so sorry I was an i***t before. Because of my stupidness you were alone and I was not there to stop them. But it won’t happen again. I won’t let anything happen to you. I am trying to get answers to who took you, that is what I was doing last night before I came back. The man we captured hasn’t said anything yet, but we will get something out of him.” As he speaks he pulls Lily back towards the bed and sits down, pulling her onto his lap and wrapping her in his arms. “As for the one watching you last night, my patrols could not find anybody, or any traces or scent. But I did smell an unknown wolf when I looked out last night. Please tell me exactly what you saw Lily.”

Lily looks at jake, not knowing how much to tell him.

“Well Jake since being here, whenever I have looked out the window I have noticed these green eyes seeming to be watching me. Last night, when you weren’t here they came out of the forest. It was this huge wolf, much bigger than yours, with bright green eyes. I swear the wolf was just staring at me, watching me and it walked across the lawn towards the house. Then I hid under the duvet and you appeared” she looks up at Jake and shrugs, blushing slightly at how crazy her story sounds.

Jake kisses her forehead, and smiles down at her.

“I’m sure the wolf wasn’t bigger than me. I’m one of the biggest Alphas out of all the packs” he smirks.

“But I do believe you Lily, you never need to worry that I won’t”

“Thank you Jake, I am also concerned I’ve probably been fired considering how I haven’t been into work or contacted them. I need to go home.” she looks up at him as she says this and sees a slight scowl appear on his face.

“Lily you can’t go home, or back to work. You need to stay here and be protected” as soon as Jake finished speaking Lily pulls away from him with a glare.

“Jake, you can’t keep me shut in your room forever. I still have a life of my own and bills to pay. Whilst I love knowing you’re there if I need you. I am capable of looking after myself. I know you think I’m this weak, clumsy human who can’t take care of herself but I’ve survived this long already without you!”

Jake looks at her with a hurt expression, which quickly chamges to a scowl. “You haven’t exactly proven that, since I’ve met you!” he states sarcastically.

Lily glares at him, moving further away. “Jake, take me back to mine now!” she spits out.

With that, they both finish getting washed and dressed in silence.

The journey back to Lily’s was also made in silence. As Jake stared at the road ahead, Lily gazed out of the window at the passing scenery into the trees, where every so often Lily would catch a glimpse of something silver in the forest.

When they finally reached her place, the atmosphere in the car hadn't got much better. Lily jumps out of the car and is about to close the door when Jake turns to her and pleads ‘Lily wait! please .... please can I come in?”.

Lily sighs, and looks at him before nodding. She turns around and makes her way to the front door.

As she is unlocking it, she can hear Jakes uncertain steps behind her.

She walks in, and he follows along in silence.

Lily goes to her bedroom and finds her phone which she’d left behind the day she was kidnapped.

It’s completely dead, so she plugs it in to charge.

As she goes to turn around she bumps into Jakes solid chest. Just her skin touching him from that was enough to cause the tingles, and for her insides to heat. She looks up into his face, and sees he appears to be similarly effected.

“Sorry” she mumbles, a blush rising across her cheeks.

She looks down, and immediately regrets that decision when she sees exactly how much Jake has been effected. The visible bulge through his jeans, makes her heart start to race.

Her mind racing ahead with inappropriate thoughts. She licks her lips and looks back up at him.

His jaw is clenched and she can see his eyes are full of lust again.

He lets out a groan, before picking Lily up. She wraps her legs around his waist and he carries her back to the bed.

He places her down on the bed and is quickly over the top of her again. Pushing his lips against hers, their kiss is urgent and wanting. Each of them pulling the other closer.

They pull apart for air, and Lily looks at him.

“Don’t think you're forgiven Jake” she scowls.

He looks at her with a sheepish grin, then pulls a sad face at her.

“Please?” he whispers out.

Lily scowls at him, but knows she can’t remain angry at him for long. As much as she wants to, she just couldn’t help but forgive him. Especially as she knew it was just him trying to keep her safe.

“Fine” she sighs, rolling her eyes. The smile on her face told Jake exactly what he needed to here and a grin spreads across his face. He kisses her again, laying down next to her and holding her in a tight embrace.

It was at this time that Lily’s phone decided to switch back on, the frenzied beeping showing the mass of messages she’d received.

Lily groans, and gets off the bed. Picking up her phone she sees a mass of missed calls and voicemail messages.

She sits down on the end of the bed and starts to go through them.

Each voicemail was her boss becoming increasingly more angry. The most recent one advising her that if she didn’t appear today then she would be dismissed from work.

When the message had finished Lily puts the phone back on the bed. She turns to Jake and he gives her a hug.

Lily lets out a groan and drags herself away from him. Rushing to her wardrobe she grabs some suitable clothes for work.

Once presentable, she goes back to Jake who is now sat on the end of her bed. She places a kiss on his forehead as he wraps his arms around her waist.

“Don’t go” he pleads. Lily pulls herself away, and sighs.

“Jake I have to. You’re welcome to stay here until I am back” as she speaks she notices Jakes eyes glaze over. A troubled look comes over his face.

A few minutes later he looks at Lily. A guilty expression on his face. “I’ve got to run as well Lily, there’s a few issues I need to sort out.” At this he picks up her phone and starts typing, he hands the phone back to her and Lily sees he has added his phone number into her phone.

“Call me, if you need me, please?!” he pleads to her.

Lily nods her head, and they both rush out of the address.

Jake places a final kiss on her lips, before they part ways.

Lily waves him off before making her own way into work.

As she gets closer, she feels an increasing sense of dread.

The second she steps foot in the office, her boss appears.

Instead of trying to have this conversation in private he decides to make it public. He has always enjoyed humiliating Lily and today was no different. After twenty minutes of him berating her, insulting her work and not actually allowing her to speak Lily snaps.

With anger bubbling up through her she decides she isn’t going to stand there and listen any longer.

“You know what....” she shouts at her boss, startling him into silence. “You can take your crappy job and your shitty attitude, and go f**k yourself!” and with that she turns on her heel and strides out of the building without looking back.
