Ismene got up from the bed, straightening her skirt she smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
She was so beautiful and damn sexy.
She turned to the bed and he was fast asleep.
She had to leave so she'd complete the task her mother had handed over.
Sooner or later she'd leave the woman with her daughter and come stay with Maxdole.
"You're leaving?" She turned to see him sitting on the bed, his eyes closed and his hand pressed to his forehead.
"Yes, I have to go home and complete my task. You can stay here alone right?" She asked and he huffed.
"What I'm I? A six-year-old? I am the Alpha of this pack Ismene." He said, agitated and she rolled her eyes.
That was Maxdole.
He would get annoyed at little things and say rubbish that didn't matter.
Not that she cared though, she still loved him...so very much.
"You can suck them up your d**k Maxdole, I'll be off now." She said, arranging her hair as she tied the knot at the back.
"About the diçk, I wouldn't mind you bending and sucking it off yourself." He said and she rolled her eyes again.
Picking up her scarf, she smiled at him.
"Bye babe." And she was off, and down the streets going home.
"Hey, Ismene!"
"Hi, Radalf!' She waved back, smiling as she did.
"Where are you coming from? From seeing him or eating him."
"Mind your business Radalf."
"I will when you're ready to mind mine."
"Bye." She waved, taking the path that led home quickly.
Ten minutes later and she was already home.
Opening the door, her smile fell off her pretty face as she saw the man called father sitting on the couch.
This was not good at all.
When their father was around, she'd get beaten for going with Maxdole.. saying he was spoiling her and teaching her bad things at a tender age.
They couldn't do better.
"Hi Father, welcome back home. How have you been?" She asked as she went to hug him.
"You want to hug Dad when you've not washed your hands? Come on sister, we all know where you're back from and it would do everybody better than harm if you wash your hands...wash it very clean with a lot of soap and water." She frowned at the voice of Eline.
The witch was set to cause trouble like usual for her.
"Why should I wash my hands? Did I tell you that I didn't wash my hands before coming here and did I ask you to help me wash them? Don't be so rude sister, my hand is clean and I didn't touch the dirt." Ismene said glaring back at her sister.
"So not that you've gone to the Alpha's house, you think you can do whatever you like and get on with it right?" Eline asked, a smirk on her face.
"Well I did go to the Alpha's house but I didn't touch anything dirty unless you're saying that the Alpha is dirty I'll be up for it." Her voice came out sharp but she gasped not expecting what she got.
She staggered back, her feet giving way for her to fall.
"I can't believe you're my daughter, after everything we did for you. Is this how you repay us?!" Her father yelled, but she said nothing.
Tears stung her eyes badly but she didn't cry.
Soon she would leave this family and she was not going to look back if she did.
"Go to your room and have a thorough bath, I came back cause the officials called and the annual celebration was rearranged."
"They'll be having it tomorrow morning." Her father mumbled and Eline gasped.
"Oh my! Too unfortunate that Lion's pack won't be coming to our celebration, I wish I would get picked by Alpha Alexander." Eline pouted.
"Don't worry sweetheart, you'll get picked by a good and great man here, who would take care of you." Ismene heard her father say to Eline and she scoffed.
She climbed the stairs, looked down the glass, and saw the older woman there.
Pushing the glass that was already broken so it would sway, she jumped down and landed outside.
"Good day Mrs. Gretchen." She greeted, and the woman nodded.
"Are you alright Ismene?" The woman asked and Ismene nodded.
She was fine, there was no need to bother the older woman and cause her to worry.
It was so soon then she expected, she would leave and she would never come back.
"Are you hungry?"
"No, do you know that the annual celebration has been shifted and will be held tomorrow morning? Father Is back home for it, he said it will be held tomorrow morning. Is it true Ma Gretchen?" Ismene asked and the woman nodded.
"It is, and that is why my daughter would be here soon. She is on her way back from Lion's pack." Ma Gretchen answered.
Ismene squinted her eyes.
The Lion's pack seemed to be the strongest there is in the land.
Was it because of how ruthless their Alpha was?
When they were little children, it was always told tales and stories...how ruthless the Alpha of Lion's Pack was.
Shifting closer to the older woman on the bench, Ismene scratched her hair and hissed.
"Do you know about them, Ma Gretchen? Have you been there before and why does it seems like everyone one even Maxdole fear their Alpha?" She asked, staring at the woman attentively.
"My daughter said their Alpha there is ruthless and does not forgive. He kills without mercy if you commit any sin or break the rules that have been laid. Although she said there were times he was merciful but his Mercy never lasts. So it is said to be the scariest and the liveliest Pack in all the land. Alphas fear him and call him Alphas of Alphas." Ma Gretchen explained.
"That was scary, why does she live in such a place where she could die anytime? Tell her to come back and stay here with us... fortunately, she'll get her mate tomorrow morning and they'll live happily ever after." Ismene smiling.
"Don't forget. You as well will leave for your mate's house and they will stop bothering you."
"Yes, Maxdole and I will live happily ever after. I heard that they'll bring a woman that would see into people's lives and bring forth the good in them. Ha! that would be so nice." Standing up, she brushed the Hem of her dress that was touching the floor.
"Bye Ma Gretchen." She waved and jumped the stairs to go finish her job.
*****
In a spacious room with no lights and candles to brighten up the place but only the small light from the moon that was passing through the curtain that was pushed up.
A man was seen laying on a chair, his eyes on a portrait.
"Alpha." A knock came on the door and he sat up, his dark eyes looking up the door.
"What is it, Karl?" He asked, brushing his shoulders as he sat up.
"Alpha, it is a letter from the Coral Spring Pack."The man outside mumbled, as his head remained bowed.
"Hmm, and what does it say? Read it out."
"For the territory that was long the Coral's, we would like to sign a negotiation with the Alpha Lord to get it back." He read.
A scoff came out.
"Is that all?"
"Yes, Alpha King."
"Hmm." He hummed, his eyes taking in the portrait that settled on the wall on the right side of the room.
The frequent death in the neighboring Village had gotten him so packed up.
He'll send men to figure out the problem but that wasn't it.
The information he had received from the Elders was not welcoming at all.
The rogues had taken hostages of many sane people, turning them into rogues so they'd start a war.
He released the pebble he had been holding, not realizing that he had been crushing it with his hands.
"Alpha." It came again.
"If I were you, Karl, I'd be very fast and not beat around the bush."
"They caught some rogues and some sane wolves that were trying to sneak out so they'd help the rogues. Sorry, y Alpha this is the pace I can go." He mumbled, his head down.
"Where are they?" It was heavy, powerful, cold, and wrathful.
"Outside and the people are gathered as well."
He stood up, his long garment brushing the items on the table as he walked out of the door.
Reaching the pavement that divided the people outside and him, his dark eyes flickered and he hissed.
"For betraying your Pack and having small talks with the rogues, you shall pay with your blood, and let this be a warning to those preparing to betray us. There will be no mercy!"
"Bring them forth." And they were dragged to the front of the castle.
"Behead them!"
