"Dr.Harken, I think Odessa fainted." Holden spoke out loud first. Something more became apparent to him. "Oh my god, Odessa isn't breathing!" Holden said firmly as he stood up from his chair. "Leon, what is happening to my baby?" Edith Northstar almost screamed at Dr. Harken. Moving to the side of her bed, Dr. Harken started rescue breathing until he got a gasp as a response. He then placed an oxygen mask over her face. "It would appear that her right lung has collapsed and she's lost consciousness." He then took out his light pen and flicked the light over her eyes to check their response. "Odessa, is also suffering from what I am hoping is temporary blindness." Dr. Harken said finishing up his diagnosis. Dr. Harken looked at both of Odessa's parents as Beta Cliff NorthStar came back into the room, and wrapped his arms around his wife. "I will do everything I can to save Odessa's eyesight. For now, I'll cover her eyes and we'll give them and the rest of her body time to heal." Dr. Harken said as he placed soft no stick, gauze pads over her eyes. He then wrapped gauze wrap around her head to hold it in place. "We'll get her into a nice warm room to herself. I'm going to keep her on oxygen for now." The doctor said as he prepared to move Odessa somewhere else. "What can we do Leon?" Odessa's father asked. "Pray, pray that she comes out of this. Pray that if her wolf did surface when she was eight that she is still there and strong enough to help her heal." He said as he released the brake and headed to the elevator to take her to the third floor. WWWWWWWWWWWWWW Odessa's POV I don't know how long I was in the dark. But I Our wasn't in darkness anymore, I was now standing in this white void. Tears started to stream from my eyes, I had to be dead and this had to be the vale to the next life. Then again what did I know I was a twelve and a half years old she wolf, what did I know of any of this? Voices where echoing everywhere around me. "Are you still bringing her those flowers?" "Yeah, of course pink freesias are her favorite. I want her to be surrounded by her favorite flower when she wakes up." "Do you really think she's coming out of this? That Odessa will just wake up and see again?" "I have to she's my little sister. I will never give up on her. Would you give up on your sister?" "Her lung is healed and she's breathing on her own. Dr. Harken said that was a good sign." After a little while I realized I knew the voices echoing around me. "Ethan? Holden?" I called out as the white void started to fade away. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW "Are you still bringing her those flowers?" Holden Silverlight asked his best friend and future beta. His black hair laid haphazardly on his head, while his hazel eyes seem to speak of how tired he was. His sculpted jawline had a five o' clock shadow. "Yeah, of course pink freesias are her favorite. I want her to be surrounded by her favorite flower when she wakes up." Ethan NorthStar said to his best friend as he exchanged the dead flowers for the new ones he had just brought. "Do you really think she's coming out of this? That Odessa will just wake up and see again?" Holden questioned Ethan. "I have to she's my little sister. I will never give up on her. Would you give up on your sister?" Ethan asked as he looked at his sister's sleeping form with his one blue and one brown, mismatch eyes. "Of course not you know how much I love Kayley." Holden said looking at Odessa's still form before looking away. "Then why would you ask me such a thing? Her lung is healed and she's breathing on her own. Dr. Harken said that was a good sign." Ethan replied. "So until we are told there's no hope then I'm going to believe in her. Summer is coming to a close, and in seven months I'll turn eighteen. I want Odessa to meet my mate when I find her." Ethan said as he kissed Odessa on the cheek. He then turned his focus on Holden. "So tell me, why you've been here off and on for the last five months since she was admitted?" Ethan asked raising an eye brow at Holden. "I don't know something about seeing her so terrified. I just didn't want to leave her. She kept asking for you at first, before she slipped into the coma. I promised I wouldn't let anything else happen to her." Holden said shrugging his shoulders. Holden stood up from his chair suddenly. "I better get going, with this being senior year have to put in sometime for good grades to graduate." Holden looked at Ethan, before asking. "Are you coming?" Ethan nodded his head. "Yeah, I'll be there in a little bit." Taking her small hand in his. Ethan kissed it as he spoke. "I'll be back after school kiddo ok." He jumped in surprise as her hand moved within his. "Ethan? Holden? Do you have to leave?" Holden's hand fell away from the door at the sound of Odessa's soft voice. His head snapped toward her bed where Ethan still stood. "I'll go find Dr. Harken and find our parents!" Holden almost yelled as he took hold of the doorknob and ran out into the hallway. "Hey there, sis I was beginning to think we were going to have to start looking for your Prince Charming in order to wake you." Ethan said As he ran a hand through Odessa's blonde hair. "Did I miss it, did I miss my birthday?" Odessa asked her brother in a soft whisper of a voice. Her question made Ethan chuckle. "Hahaha! No Odessa, you haven't missed your birthday. But you did miss a lot of your sixth grade year of school." Ethan said to his sister trying to gently explain how long she'd been out. "Can I have a little bit of water?" She asked quietly. "Sure." Ethan replied as he poured a little bit of water into a small paper cup. Before placing it into her hand "Drink slowly ok, we don't want you to choke on it." He said as he watched her drink. A smile found its way into her lips. "You remembered my favorite flower and color. I just love their light sweet scent." Odessa said taking in the flowers beside her bed. Her words took her brother by surprise. "What a minute Odessa did you just say you can see the flowers I brought you?" Ethan asked. "Yes, why was I not suppose to?" Odessa questioned Ethan. "No after what Dr. Collins did to you. You lost your sight." Ethan said to answer his sister. He then jumped to sooth her as soon as he saw the fear in her eyes. "Hey, it's ok. Dr. Collins doesn't work here anymore. Alpha Ripley forced him to resign." Ethan said as he sat on the side of the bed and hugged Odessa gently. The sound of hurried footsteps were heard coming down the hallway before stopping at Odessa's door. There was a quick knock, before Dr. Harken entered the room. A smile was dancing on his lips as he watched Ethan and Odessa separate from their hug. "Odessa, it's so very good to see you awake again. I have to ask, can you see me." Dr. Harken asked Odessa. "Um, yes." Odessa said in response to Dr. Harken's question. Walking to the empty side of the bed. Dr. Harken then pulled out his pen light and began checking the reaction of her pupils. "I want to run a few test and keep you over night but as long as everything comes back normal you should be good to go home." Dr. Harken said giving Odessa a soft smile. Everyone's heads turned toward the door, as Beta Cliff and Edith NorthStar rushed into the room. Both of them swarmed the bed to have a good look at their daughter. They were relieved to see Odessa awake and able to see. "Oh my sweet girl, thank the moon goddess your ok. I was beginning to fear we would never see you again." Edith NorthStar said in between sobs as she hugged her daughter. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW After Dr. Harken deemed me healthy enough to go home I spent a month playing catch up with all of the school work I had missed. I had to do it in order to pass sixth grade and move on to seventh grade. My thirteenth Birthday came and went without incident, I was grateful for that. Soon the whole family was planning something big for Lumi and Elsa's third birthday. Dr. Harken came by ever so often to see how I was doing. But he had stopped trying to see why I hadn't heard my inner wolf (Maya) speak to me since I turned eight. My life went back to normal and I went back to being any other wolf kid in the Moonstone pack. When February 16th, 2022 came around everyone was excited to learn who was going to be the mate and future Luna to our future Alpha Holden Silverlight. At his eighteenth birthday/ mate party Holden just shook his head when his father asked him. His mate wasn't any of the girls who had come to the party. I smiled as I thought of my brother Ethan on his eighteenth birthday on March 14th, 2022. He didn't find his mate on his birthday either. Ethan didn't find his mate, Wren Aries until a month later when the neighboring pack, the Thunder pack came to a pack meeting and trading pact. Wren was the daughter of Beta Jordan and Beta Hannah. Wren had fiery red hair and gentle brown eyes. She helped me study when ever she could. She was an only child so she was over joyed to learn that Ethan had three sisters. My life was good until it wasn't and I wish I could change the events that where about to happen next but I couldn't. I didn't have that kind of power.
