Holden Silverlight found himself trying to sit still all he waited his turn to see his father, Alpha Ripley. A few minutes ago Amy Hunt came out of his father's office crying. Her parents following behind her clearly displeased with their daughter's actions. Kyle Parker and his family where in with his father now. Raised voices were coming from inside. Alpha Ripley's firm voice came first. Reminding Kyle that he had no authority within the pack right now. The voices Holden heard now where Kyle's mother and father telling him how foolish he was. Kyle's father Ben Parker promised he was going to show his son what it would be like if Alpha Ripley had banished them all. While his mother, Olive and sister, Beth lowered their heads deeply in front of the Alpha. Apologizing for Kyle's cruel and naive actions. Two minutes, later Mr. Parker was dragging his son out the door by his elbow. "You are forbidden to speak to the Hunt girl ever again. I thought my son had more of a brain. Perhaps, the future Alpha should have done more then scare you." Mr. Parker fumed as he drug his son away from the pack house. "Dad, I said I was sorry." Kyle squeaked at his father his brown eyes casted down at the floor. While his brown hair was a haphazardly mess on top of his head. As the door to the pack house slammed closed. Holden let out a breath all he stood up from the chair he had been sitting it. Just as his father, opened the door. His light brown eyes frowned at his son. Alpha Ripley motioned for Holden to enter, closing the door behind him. "What the hell, were you thinking son! Using your Alpha roar at school on minors no less. You're an adult now, Holden." Alpha Ripley said to his son. He sighed as he looked at his son, who had his head lowered along with his eyes. "I know it's been hard watching everyone around you including your best friend find their mates before you." Alpha Ripley said with sympathy for his son. "I'm getting older Holden. I had wanted you to take over next year. Now it would seem that you aren't ready yet. So it would seem that I will have to wait a few more years before you are ready to take my place." Alpha Ripley rubbed a hand over his face, before he spoke again. "Your mother and I have talked, and we both think it would be best if you leave and go stay with your Aunt and Uncle in the Moonlight River Pack." He continued in a firm voice. "You want me to go all the way to Howlville, Colorado?" Holden asked his father. Alpha Ripley nodded to his son. "We do, stay for at least three years. Your Uncle Rich as agreed to be your teacher in my place. You leave in a week. It is my hope the you will get blessed with finding your mate, while you are down there." Holden's father finished saying. "Yes, Alpha. May I go now?"Holden said in return. "Yes, you can go now." Alpha Ripley said as he watched his son get up to leave. "Oh, and Holden your on your way to being a great leader. If it had been me, I would have lashed out at both of them. Laying them all out, the girl too." Alpha Ripley said with a small smile forming on his lips. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Leaving his father's office, Holden soon found himself walking in the woods with his hands in his pockets. Making it to an old rock wall. Holden climbed on top of it and sat down. His hazel eyes looking out at the river before him. A smile formed on his lips as his best friend's scent came to him. "You're getting better at hiding your scent Ethan. I think you need a little more practice." Holden said out loud. Suddenly a shoulder knocked into his right one. "Yeah, well from what I hear. I have a few more years to get better before I take over as Beta for my dad." Ethan said grinning at Holden. Holden took in Ethan's appearance. "You look like hell man. Are you even sleeping?" Holden asked in concern. Ethan just laughed. "With a one year old at home, just barely. Mom keeps telling me that Alex will start sleeping through the night soon . I'm not convinced she's right, yet." Ethan confessed to his best friend. They both were quiet for awhile before Ethan spoke again. "Thank you, for looking out for Odessa. I feel like a failure as a brother with her. You've been there for her when I wasn't able too." Clinching his right hand into a fist. Holden put a comforting hand on his left shoulder. "You're a great big brother Ethan. Odessa knows how much you love her and the twins. You were who she was asking for the day at the hospital when that nut of a doctor had her. Besides you would have done the same if it had been Kayley. You're my best friend I will always have your back like you have mine." Holden said giving Ethan a smile. Ethan then cleared his throat. "Speaking of Odessa, Kayley and you should go and see her in the next couple of days. She's graduating tomorrow. She has enough credits to graduate, she was staying back so she could graduate in two years with Kayley. But with what happened today. Odessa, feels it would be better if she left now to go study Art and Photography. When she finds out you'll be leaving to, she's going to blame herself." Ethan said softly. "Why, she didn't do anything wrong. I did, I let my temper get the better of me." Holden said a little confused. "That's just Odessa she doesn't like being the cause of someone else's pain. Well I better get back home, Alex and Wren should be waking up from their naps. I promised I'd watch Alex while Wren runs a few errands." He gave Holden a quick hug before saying goodbye. Holden sat looking out at the river a little longer before deciding to go see Odessa tomorrow. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Odessa sat up in her favorite tree in the back of their house. The v shaped crook in the center of the oak was her favorite spot to read and think. Catching movement out of the corner of her eyes. Odessa looked to the right to find Holden Silverlight sitting on the branch there. "I can see why you like hiding here. I almost didn't find you. The smell of the fall leaves masks you scent a little. I heard you were leaving this corner of Virginia to go explore the world of Art and Photography. Which school was smart enough to take you?" Holden said not really looking in Odessa's direction. "Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio." Odessa said as she turned the page in the book she wasn't really reading. "Thank you, future Alpha Holden, for coming to my aid yesterday." Odessa's blue eyes met with Holden's hazel ones. "You have beautiful eyes." Odessa blurted out. Realizing what she had just said Odessa put a hand over her mouth. Holden just smiled showing off a row of beautiful white teeth, as he ran a hand though his short black hair. "I was going to say the same thing about yours." Holden said in a soft tone. "Oh my goddess, I am so sorry." Odessa's cheeks flushed red as she looked away. "It's fine, Odessa really no harm done. I'll be going away for awhile myself, to stay with my Aunt and Uncle in Howlville, Colorado." Holden informed Odessa. "Because, of me. I cause problems for everyone." Odessa whispered. Holden, however disagreed with her words. "No, not because of you. Because of myself, I did something I shouldn't have. Leaving for awhile is my punishment, for acting like an Alpha when I'm not the Alpha yet." Holden explained. He then jumped to the ground below. "Take care of yourself Odessa NorthStar, you're stronger then you think you are. Never forget that." Holden said as he walked away from the tree Odessa had been hiding in. It would be the last time she would see Holden Silverlight, for a very long time.
