Jake continued, “I think your curse is related to the moon. Right?” I raised my brow, “Yeah. What do you have in mind?” Jake shot up his shoulders. “I don’t know if you know anything about Valeria’s lineage but we are from Halo lineage. We have a unique connection with the moon.” I still didn’t get it and Jake sensing my confusion asked Valeria to show me her electric power which I knew nothing about. Valeria responded, “I can’t show him under a roof. I don’t have full control over it yet.” We all headed outside and Valeria emitted an electric kind of white energy from her fingers. Valeria's facial expressions changed and a glimpse of a sinister smile spread on her face. She calmly ceased the display of white energy in her fingers. Before I could react we all heard Eli’s voice. He thought I was in some kind of danger. He flipped, changed, and turned into a coconut tree-sized werewolf in front of everyone. I stood in front of him and screamed. “No, Eli I am safe they didn’t intend to harm me.” Everyone was shocked to see the size of his wolf and began to step back. I felt Valeria’s fear through our bond. I told Eli again to change back assuring him I was safe. His wolf growled and then returned to his human form. He was standing naked in front of everyone so I took off my jacket and handed it to him to cover himself. Although we shapeshifters are not very concerned about nakedness I didn’t want Valeria to see any other man naked. Eli asked, “Who the f**k are they? What the hell? It felt like a lightning attack?” I came close to Eli and told him everything, but that only made him more angry. “You should have shown your power far away from the mansion. My kids live here! What if anything happened to them?” Jake inquired, “In your story, only you and your brother crossed the portal.” Eli responded, “I found my eternal soulmate here on earth and she just gave birth to my twin baby boys.” “So your girl’s pack knows about your origin?” Eli raised one eyebrow. “What does that mean?” I intervened, “Anna was a human, but now she is a werewolf.” Jake shouted. “How dare you reveal your identities to humans?” “She was not a regular human she was my eternal soulmate and I was unable to live without her so I had to tell her everything but now I have marked her and she is one of us,” Elli replied firmly. Jake inhaled with his flared nostrils. “And who else knows?” Eli shrugged his shoulders. “Right now only one human knows about us.” Jake sighed in relief. “Good, now we have to kill only one human.” Eli pointed at him. “If you even lay a finger on him I will let my wolf devour you all.” “Alex won’t be a problem because he has known about us since the time Anna knew about us,” I reassured them. Valeria asked, “Alex your driver right?” I nodded, “Yeah, he is Anna’s brother and my driver.” Jake raised his hand to get my and Eli’s attention. “OKai, Alex is safe until he can’t keep his mouth shut.” Eli nodded, “Done,” “Back to your lineage.” “I think Valeria might be able to break the curse for you because of her Halo lineage. We’d have to wait for the next full moon to know for sure.” Elliot responded, “That’s in five days.” Jake said, “Alright we are leaving Valeria for five days with you. You have to give me your word that you won’t let anything happen to my daughter.” “What do you mean by five days?” Jake responded, “If your curse is broken then you will not be in a position to keep Valeria in your mansion anymore.” I shot up my shoulders. “Fine by me.” Jake and Valeria’s two brothers hugged her and then left. Valeria looked at me, “Why did you never tell me about Eldaria?” “Because I stay out of the spotlight due to my aging pattern.” “What does that mean?” I held her hand, “I age like Eldaria’s pattern and it is pretty late for Earth’s pattern Before Valeria responded Eli cleared his throat to get my attention. ”Next time I would like to be informed if we have any guests here.” I nodded. “Sure.” and then he left returning to his side of the mansion. Valeria looked at me. “Do you miss Eldaria? Your mom, your dad?” I nodded, “Not a single day has gone by in these thirty years I didn’t miss my world, my parents, my dear sister, and my kingdom. I was miserable before meeting you.” Valeria asked, “Do still wish to go back to Eldaria? And don’t you dare to lie to me.” I looked deep into her eyes. “I wasn’t planning to lie, Val. Whenever I get a chance to go back I will not think about it for even a second and I’ll cross the portal.” Valerie asked, “And what about me?” I responded, “I want to cross the portal holding your hand because I know we both will be in agony without each other.” Valeria pulled back her hands. “What about my family?” I sighed, “This discussion is pointless because I can’t go back. The portal can only be opened with a key. Eli and I lost the key when we jumped into the portal.” “What if you found the key?” I looked the other way. “I have spent thirty years on Earth hoping to find my eternal soulmate would be in Eldaria. Perhaps there was a chance to return, but since I found you here, there is no room for any IF." Valeria hugged me. “I am sorry for everything and I wish I could slit that evil f*****g witch’s throat.” I enveloped her in my arms. “I wish the same, Val.” She raised her head. “I think it’s established that I am going to stay here for a while so you should take a chill and go to your office.” I shook my head. “I don’t care about anything right now.” Valeria raised her brow. “But you have two very important meetings in the evening so you need to go.” I opened my mouth but she stepped up on her tiptoes and kept her finger on my lips. “Shushh, I don’t want to argue about this Kai, you are going and that’s final.” I picked her up and kissed her. “Alright, but promise me that no matter what you are not going to leave this mansion.” Valeria kissed me back. “I promise now put me down.” I laughed and put her down.
