“Hold him down.” Maxwell commanded his minions, who immediately charged at Jake once again. He was immediately held in one position with his arms stretched out. Sarah couldn't believe her eyes and wondered how Maxwell could be so devilish. Maxwell landed a blow to his stomach, making him throw up some fluid. The student all laughed each time the blow landed. Jakel was left sprawling on the floor while Maxwell had his leg over his throat, making it difficult for him to breathe. “I told you already, you are nothing compared to me, and the next time you decide to go all out against me, You better... Maxwell was about to finish his statement when he heard a vibe behind him. “What the hell is going on here?” A male voice said in anger seeing the state and position Jake was in. Maxwell slowly removed his leg over Jake's throat as he battled to breathe. He lifted his gaze to see the disdainful looks on the faces of each student viewing the show. He could have died, but none of them seemed bothered. The fact that Maxwell was untouchable made his stomach churn, and he wished he could show everyone Maxwell was nothing but a bully. He looked up to see the teacher, who seemed to be his salvation, but when the teacher saw it was Maxwell, he bowed his head immediately. Jake furrowed his eyebrows seeing what happened once again. He was about to get up when he heard the clicking sound of footsteps approaching them. He could feel the presence of the school authorities as the student parted ways, granting him an audience. Mr. Thomas Thompson was dressed in a black suit with his hair styled to the back. He wore a smug look on his face as he got to the scene. The teacher immediately shifted to allow him full control to access the situation. Thomas' eyes darted from Maxwell, who was now standing looking like he was not guilty, and back to Jake, who was trying to catch his breath. “What the hell is going on here!” he said with anger. “I don't know what he was thinking. I came here to take my girlfriend out for a date, and Jake here charged at me. Everything I did was in self-defense.” Maxwell said with sarcasm. “Liar.” Jake said slowly from where he stood, his voice barely above a whisper. His face showed marks and was fluffy from the heavy punch that landed on his face. “He came here to steal my girlfriend and even went ahead to humiliate me.” Jake was about to say another word when Mr. Thomas's words stopped him. “Enough of these baseless accusations! Do you think I don't know how you have always caused trouble in the school? I can't believe you are going this far to accuse Mr. Maxwell of what he didn't do. What exactly have you done for the school, huh? And now you are attacking one of the most prominent members in the school. Do you know what you have really done?” Thomas shouted at him. Jake wanted to talk back, but the words were stuck in his throat. There was nothing he could say that could help him get closure or make Maxwell punished. But what he heard next made him clench his fist in anger. “Due to this malicious behavior, you will be suspended from the school for two weeks.” Mr. Thomas said, finally looking at Jake's face, “And I expect to see your parents too. I won't tolerate any bully right inside the school.” Mr. Thomas said, walking away from the scene. The students all looked at Jake with sharp gazes. Some were even more scared of Maxwell's absolute power, while others said Jake was in the wrong. “He should have challenged someone like Maxwell.” One for the student said as they walked away. “You were lucky this time, Jake. Next time, I won't just collect what is yours; I am going to make you disappear forever.” Maxwell and Bella walked right into the car and drove off, leaving Jake to sort himself out. He looked forward and saw Sarah standing with a tearful look. Jake tried to move a muscle towards her, but he landed on the floor with a loud thud, making Sarah rush towards him. “Are you alright?” She asked, tilting his head up a bit. “You are a mess.” Sarah managed to speak “I will be fine, Sarah. Thanks for showing that you cared.” Jake said, getting up to his feet as Sarah had her arms wrapped by his side. “Can you walk?” She looked at him. “I can't believe everyone sided with him." Can you see their faces? The look they had even when the school head addressed me. I can't believe everyone is blinded to the demon Maxwell is.” Jake said, clenching his hands in anger. The school had all chosen to side with Maxwell, who was nothing but a liar and a brute. “I would like to go on from here.” Jake looked at Sarah who was having a bothering look on her face. As he walked, he vowed to take his revenge and make sure Maxwell and Bella pay for looking down on him. He winced each time he walked and felt tons of bones in his body were broken. Jake had been bullied and had a difficult time at work before, but this time around, He had more than he bargained for, and he has some trophy thanks to Maxwell. As he dragged his feet through the school premises, the students all looked at him, making him feel worse. Maxwell might have won this time around, but Jake wasn't done yet. He was going to get back on his feet and show him he had messed with the wind person. He was going to humiliate him just as he had done to him too and make sure Bella crawled back to his feet begging him for a second chance. But how was he going to accomplish that? Jake doesn't know.
