Chapter 16 : The organization of the party.

After a few moments, we arrived in front of the clown's house. Alexander asked the driver to wait not far from there.

- Are your parents with you? he asked me.

- I think so, I answered him, confused.

So he came to my house to talk to my parents. At first, my parents were worried that I'm bringing a boy home, so they started bombing him with questions.

- First of all, said Alexander kindly, my name is Alexander Daniel Diamond. I am one of your daughter's best friends. I came to you to ask you to please let Cassandra sleep at my place for a while.

- What!? I asked with my father. - Is it at your place that my daughter and Anna are going to work for December 31? asked my mother.

It was not easy, but in the end, after hours of discussion, my parents finally accepted. I was so happy to be able to live with Alexander, even if it was only for a while. I thought I was dreaming so much I didn't believe it.

Today was going to be the beginning of my happiness. I was so happy that I couldn't contain myself. I hugged my parents so much I was so happy to be able to spend time with the Diamonds, alongside Alexander, even if it was only for a short time.

Alexander was waiting for me outside while my mother and I were preparing my things. My mother looked at me happy because she understood that I was in love.

After packing my suitcase, my parents took me back in front of Alexander's family car, and we left.

Let me first explain to you that when the Diamonds organize parties, only the organizer of the evening remains at the manor. The other family members go elsewhere to create an effect of surprise.

The theme that Alexander had to respect was "Young Love". We both did our best to respect this theme as much as possible.

The party that would take place at the Manoir would take place on December 31 at 6 p.m. sharp, which is why we had carefully decorated the place.

To start, we decorated the gates of the portal in black with golden glitter and red roses. We wanted to give the impression that the roses were growing on the grids for a more natural effect. We also sprinkled the gold and silver flowers.

We also installed lanterns all around to illuminate the path from the outside inside the gate to the mansion. In the garden, we arranged red roses around each lantern with thorns to create a romantic atmosphere. We did this because when we talk about love, we think of feelings, heart and roses, symbol of love.

Alexander also asked his employees to repaint the mansion in black because the old brown paint had started to deteriorate.

We arranged small white candles on both sides of each step on the stairs leading to the front door. They were protected by transparent glass blocks to prevent them from extinguishing because of the winds. I also had the idea of sprinkling the stairs with rose petals to create a romantic atmosphere on the day of the party.

Alexander and I also made various decisions to welcome the guests. At the door, we have planned two people to welcome the guests. If the guest was a member of the Diamonds family, they were served red wine, whereas if they were close friends or someone the Diamonds considered one of their own, they were offered rose-shaped brooches for Men and chocolates in the shape of a heart for women.

For this great evening, we had proposed a dress code to the guests.

The colors allowed were red, black, white and pink.

As for the staff, the waiters in the room had custom-made outfits for each of them. The boys wore costumes in red and black, while the girls wore floral dresses in red and white.

Now, let's talk about the interior decoration of the mansion.

On entering the large room, we had decided to transform it into a dance floor for the evening and into a reception room before dinner. We had set up a large stage where the spotlight would focus on the musicians and the animator east of the room near the stairs.

There was a large staircase leading to the top floor, which we decorated by hanging garnet-colored heart-shaped balloons. We also rolled a large red carpet from the top of the stairs to the front door.

Apart from classical music, there would also be pop music and especially love songs. Sequined pink ribbons hung on the walls and converged on the large crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room. Red roses were attached to the ribbons to hide the nails.

We chose not to overload the part to avoid misplaced remarks.

To the left of the room was the dining room, decorated with paper butterflies of different colors hung on the ceiling.

For dinner, a four-course service was provided. As a starter, from the bolognese spaghetti with meatballs, followed by a small seafood salad. The main dish consisted of a steak fillet covered with a red wine and cherry tomato sauce, served with a puff pastry with cheese and a fine white sauce. For dessert, chocolate ice cream.

Our goal was to create a romantic atmosphere on the tables of the guests. White tablecloths and heart-shaped cutlery underwear were placed on each table. The coasters were round and red too.

On each table there were also red rose petals.

Each of the tables had their own little personal touch that differentiated her from the others. Some had kerosene lamps in the center, others a rose in a small vase, some had candles and most had a lit candle on an empty wine bottle.

The cards were also arranged to tell the guests their table. These cards were a bit special, with different poems inscribed under the names of the guests and game numbers on the back.

Employees were assigned to help the guests find their place and guide them to their seats.

- What do you think?, asked Alexander when we finished preparing the guest tables.

- It may not be extraordinary, but we still tried, I replied.
