Chapter 16
The rest of the day was spent preparing Lucy and Paul's house for Christmas. The sound of laughter both from children and adults could be heard off and on all day accompanied by the occasional barking of dogs offering their opinion of where things should be placed. Aiden took a couple of phone calls, while Megan and Paul each tended to business as they needed to from their phones, but by silent agreement the adults made the day for the kids and no mention of murder or any other evil was discussed.
Charlotte herself couldn’t remember the last time she'd had so much fun preparing for Christmas. There was something wonderful about having children around for the holiday, and as the day went on, she thought about it more and more, developing a plan in the back of her head.
