The sheriff walked across the room to shake Aiden's hand in greeting, then he came to stand in front of Zoe.
"Thank you for keeping your word and meeting us here. Now, I realize you're nervous, but you don't need to be in front of these two. Take your time and tell them what you told me in my office this morning."
