Chapter 19
SaturdayMegan and Aiden had returned to Lucy and Paul's house with Megan's temper still at a high level. They had gone outside on the pool deck to talk so they would not disturb the kids sleeping soundly upstairs. Megan related all that had happened that evening, pacing back and forth in front of the pool as she talked. There were a couple of times when Aiden held his breath, positive she was going to walk right into the pool or trip over one of the dogs and go flying into the deep end. But even though Megan was busy talking, concentrating on what she was saying, she managed to stay on her feet with no mishaps.
