"Hiding?" Vedh Balon frowned and turned back to face her.
"What am I hiding? Do you even know what you're saying?"
Ashu Davies turned away, her tearful gaze fixed on the moon.
"I know what I deserve. I'm grateful for everything you've done for me and my son. But please, just leave me and live your life freely."
Vedh Balon clenched his teeth in frustration, grabbing her arm and turning her back to face him.
"What did you say? You want me to live freely? You want me to live my own life? Do you even have a clue what my life would be like if I left you and my son?" He was furious.
