Ashu struggled, but Vedh didn't let go easily. He looked into her eyes with passion and intensity.
"I am," she gritted her teeth, her tears betraying her firmness.
"Are you sure you can hurt me?"
"I am."
"Are you sure you don't care about what I'm doing?"
"Vedh, go to hell."
Vedh Balon clenched his teeth in anger at her final words. He glared at her intensely for a moment, then angrily pushed her onto the bed.
"Fine then. I'll do what you want to see," he snapped, grabbing his coat and hastily leaving.
Ashu Davies kept her eyes fixed on the bedroom door, tears streaming down her face. She tried to hold back her tears, biting her lip tightly, but in the end, she couldn't contain her emotions and hid her face in her hands, sobbing.
