PART-01
PROHIBITED FOREST
Region C - Ujung Kulon.
1992
A young girl was walking alone down the paved road on the main road to town Bandung. She grumbled, “I should have just stayed at a resident's house in a nearby village. Why do I insist on going home and so sure there is still public transportation?”
She looked confused, it was getting dark. While on either side of the forest. She had already left the village. Not a single vehicle passed by let alone a passerby. Her heart began to shrink and despair, mixed with crushing fear.
"Stay here Neng, soon the sun will set."
Those were the words of the old grandmother whom she met at the very end of the house before she left the last village and entered the paved road. Even though the sun was still high even though it was already low.
She decided not to stay for two reasons. First, the sun is still high, while the distance from the last village to the highway is not too far. Second, she did not feel comfortable with the grandmothers he met. She also didn't understand what the reason was. She just felt threatened.
Even though logically what can be done by an old grandmother who just walks is stumbling and hunched over. Walking has also been assisted by sticks. But for some reason it was the stick that the grandmother was holding that made her even more uncomfortable. Finally he decided to go home.
When she stepped on the asphalt the sun was still high even though it was much more inclined to the west. The light was covered by the thick leaves of Mahogany trees that lined up growing tall and clawed at the sky.
For some reason, she was a little horrified when she looked at the mahogany trees. Especially when he realized how long she had been waiting and not a single vehicle passed by. Finally she decided to leave the place.
Here she is now, somewhere. In the middle of nowhere she herself did not know where her position. In confusion, gripped by fear mixed with anger. Tired, hungry, and hopeless. Her limp body completes her suffering.
While the road she was on getting more and more tense, the mahogany trees on either side of the road also looked more sinister. The asphalt also looks darker, the fog that begins to fall makes the situation even more lonely and frozen.
She wanted to stop walking because her legs hurt but she didn't dare to do so. She kept forcing her feet to walk even though she was already staggering. She kept walking and hoped to meet the village.
But somehow this forest seems endless? The asphalt is also getting darker and the fog is getting thicker. The cold air increasingly penetrated sharply through the skin and body to the bone marrow. As time went on the air grew colder and her body began to shiver.
She ignored it all, kept dragging her feet to move. She stumbled, even walking worse than the grandmothers she met this afternoon. She kept walking until she finally staggered, her body collapsing against the asphalt.
BRUUUKK!!!!
Because the road was downhill, her body rolled and then curled up motionless on the side of the road, grass under the mahogany tree. Her body stopped motionless because it hit the Mahogany tree.
Between conscious and unconscious she still felt her body wobbled and rolled for some time on the asphalt. Then slamming into the edge and hitting something, she felt an incomparable sting and pain all over her body.
Her head ached too, she could vaguely see lots of black shadows approaching trying to grab her.
She felt her body lift up, lots of hands. Countless. Make it move slowly.
She also felt the time run slower and then everything went dark .
