Eryn's POV
I felt a surge of energy as the woman from the village cast her spell. I raised my staff, channeling my own magic to counter hers.
The air was filled with the sound of crackling energy as our spells clashed. The woman's magic was powerful, but I was determined to protect my friends and the Journal.
Kara and Fenris stood frozen, unsure of what to do. But I knew that they had to get out of there, and fast. The woman's magic was getting stronger by the second, and I knew that I couldn't hold out for much longer.
"Get the Journal and go!" I shouted to Kara and Fenris. "I'll hold her off!"
