Chapter Thirty-TwoScott met with Donna in the conference room, surrounded by the files that required immediate attention. He reviewed proposed discovery responses on three cases and helped her draft discovery to the other side on four others. They finalized a new whistleblower lawsuit for filing and started drafting another age discrimination complaint. They worked through until almost 2:00 p.m. with stops only to refill coffee cups.
Nikki walked in and said, “I knew you'd never get out of here for lunch, so I ordered turkey sandwiches for both of you.” She handed them brown bags and said, “Let Donna and I know as soon as you hear something.”
“Thanks, Nikki. I sure will.” He turned to Donna and said, “Can you run with this stuff so that we can get everything out tomorrow?”
