Chapter 8

Christopher's pov

I wake up early today as I had a lot of work going on , different meetings, contract signing , parties , conferences , video calls , audiences from the president and governor , and again Ellie Matthew .

" brother , you have a incoming call from president Adams " Matthew barged into my room with a tablet requesting for a video call .

I finish blow drying my hair and pick the call .

" oh President , am I too early it seems you just woke up "

" speak , I take a call anywhere , anytime " I grunt walking out of my room with Matthew following behind with another call .

" good morning " President Williams says .

" good morning " I had another tab to my face , then another , then another , I had five video calls going on now and I had Matthew call our assistant for help . it was past twenty minutes already and I was still on those non ending calls , like usual .

" that wouldn't do I'd like to add my terms and conditions " I say to a female CEO

" President Lin ! " President Williams called .

" oh , yes I'll have that contract signed copied and transfer the copy to you "

" boss " my assistant walked in .

" that simply wouldn't do , I have . . . okay yes , yes " I continue making the call .

" you have a meeting in 5 sir " she mouthed to me and I sigh .

" President Lin ? "

" I hear you , I'll have you talk to my assistant about the documents please "

" Excuse me , Hold " I say to all of the screens and look at Matthew .

" you'll have to go to BT corporation and represent me " I say giving that ' don't mess up ' look .

" about that construction site I'll have you talk to the vice president about that " I say and toss the tablet to Matthew .

" boss you're late for the meeting " my assistant mouthed again . I begin moving to my car in frustration with Matthew and our assistant walking backwards while holding the tablets to my face .

Ellie's pov

I was ready for today as daddy and I walked to his office , nanny had told me to wear something light today so I wore my short pink mini skirt , my big white handknit sweater revealing one side of my shoulder and my rainbow sneakers . nanny had my hair up in a pretty ponytail as I hold on to my pink giant teddy bear . we enter daddy office and I sit on his seat pouting as he went to his glass windows taking a peak at the view the building enabled to see .

" are you okay daddy ? " I ask .

" I am now " he smiles and then I see grace rush in .

" President Ben vice president Lin is here " she said and smiled at me when our gazes met .

" good morning grace " I shriek softly .

" Let him in " dad said and In just a few minutes he was in .

" President Ben " vice president Lin greeted looking at me who was pouting sadly as I hugged my teddy bear tight .

" vice president Lin " daddy smiled walking to his table and stood beside me " I see he couldn't make it "

" sign this " he gave daddy a file and after daddy reading it with an over approved look he signed it and handed it over . which means he approved what so ever the terms and conditions where in the file .

" if I haven't introduced you yet this is my daughter . . . "

" Ellie " they both echo .

" you already met ? " dad gasped looking between both of us .

" thank to my brother . . . I mean President Christopher " he smiled looking at my daddy .

" oh . . . Ellie this is Matthew Lin Lin vice president of the Lin Lin industries and the brother of President Christopher Lin Lin " daddy turned to me introducing us .

" hello Mr Matthew " I say shyly .

" I don't like formalities , that's for my brother " he giggled .

" okay " I nod and look up at daddy sadly .

" I'll give you both some time alone " he says leaving the file on daddy's table probably to be copied . As soon as he leaves I hug daddy tightly as tears fell from my eyes .

" shhhh be strong Ellie , be strong for your self , be strong for nanny and be strong for me won't you " he said cleaning my eyes . if I were wearing makeup I would look horrible right now , because the makeup would either get melted or ruined by my tears .

" I will daddy " I said cleaning my tears " I won't cry , no I won't "

" take care dear and if you aren't happy all you have to do is call, okay ? "

" yes daddy "

" that's my girl , me and nanny will always be with you "

I smile remembering nanny and our usual morning routine .

" do you remember this teddy ? nanny saved it for me , it was my favorite , since I was eight " I smile hugging it , it would remind me about her when I was gone .

I've got to admit sometimes when I imagine my mother I see nanny , when I look at her pictures I'd see nanny , when I'd imagine all the things we could have done I'd imagine the things nanny and I had done together . and today if you ask me to choose a mother I'd choose her , she's always been there and she always will be physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally . I was just wondering if I told him this one day he'll get mad .

" let's go dear " daddy called as we walk through the doors towards the elevator and down to the first floor . I giggle when I see grace all over the place with files in her hands , and fellow imployees chanting her name .

" grace " I hear dad chuckle as we walk out of the building only to see a Green Lamborghini car waiting for me with Mr Mathew resting tiredly on it .

" Ellie , finally . . . my brother will throw me from a building again if I don't get you to his mansion " he said jokingly but somehow I think he was serious . I mean that does sound like what Christopher Lin Lin would do .

crossing that off my mind I say my goodbyes

" bye daddy " I said kissing his cheek " promise to keep nanny company "

" nanny ? I promise , she our favorite person I'd never leave her bored "

" I trust you daddy "

" take care dear " daddy hugs me and I go into the car as Mr Matthew raised the door for me and went in through the other side . I keep on. waving to daddy as he drove away , then with the screech of the tires and the vroom of the engine the car zoomed and boomed off .
