Melody's POV:
Issac is to arrive any minute now. My parents decided to host everyone at there home for the evening. They are planning to cook on the outdoor grill near our fire pits since it was cool at night. Kellie is still resting in Beta Ben's room, him watching over her intently.
I am waiting anxiously with Daniel at the packhouse so he could meet another person I had became so close to over the last six months, for the second time today. We are currently sitting on the couch in the packhouse living room watching a cooking show. My thighs resting, crossed over Daniel's legs with his hand shoved between them, his thumb discreetly rubbing closer to my sensitive area. I am doing my best not to get hot and bothered because Danielle, my mate's twin sister, is currently sitting in the recliner beside the couch watching TV with us. She seems to be on her best behavior today, being polite and considerate, maybe she is trying to make up for her past insensitive comment.
"Melody," Danielle says out of the blue. "Who did you say was coming tonight?"
"My friend and co-worker, Issac, he is also bringing his sister." I said.
"What is his sister's name?" Danielle asked curiously.
"Katelyn." I told her.
Danielle nods slightly, seeming lost in her own thoughts.
"They're here," Daniel suddenly breathes in my ear.
I jump up and rush towards the front door. Standing on the large front porch I see no one has pulled into the U-shaped driveway. Daniel comes up behind me laughing.
"They just passed through the gate Mel, it will take them a few minutes to get up here." He tells me.
I notice Danielle has stepped out on the porch behind us. I give Daniel a quizzitive glance and he shrugs. Danielle is not even paying attention to our exchange, just staring at the driveway.
Strange...... Rose comments.
Then I see Issac's car slowly coming toward us. I smile and wave as I step down the steps, Daniel and Danielle following. Issac steps out of his car jogging over to us, smiling widely. I see in my peripheral vision that Danielle face drops and she seems sad all of a sudden.
"Hey Issac!" I said excitedly giving him a small hug. Daniel let's out a low menacing growl, to which I give him dirty look.
"Issac this is Daniel Black, my mate and Alpha of the BlueMoon Pack. Daniel, this is Issac Adams of the Full Midnight Pack." I introduce them after Daniel calmed down.
They shake hands and say pleasantries when the passenger side door opens and Katelyn steps out. I notice Danielle freeze and she is staring straight at Katelyn. Katelyn also seems to be in a trance, looking at Danielle.
"Well shit....." Issac laughs.
"What's happening?" Daniel asks clueless.
"Just watch," I whisper eagerly.
Katelyn makes her way to Danielle slowly, bypassing Daniel in a trance. He growls lowly at the disrespect but neither Katelyn nor Danielle notice. I grab Daniel's forearm and place his arm around my waist to calm him.
"She doesn't even see you baby, she is not meaning to be rude." I tell Daniel.
He finally realizes what is happening when Katelyn gently touches Danielle's face.
"I have been searching for you for so long." Katelyn said fervidly.
"Mate...." Danielle breathed passionately.
They stood entranced in eachothers eyes,, edging closer to eachother.
"I didn't know you were gay!" Daniel said loudly, interrupting the beautiful moment.
Snapping out of their shared haze Danielle looked at Daniel horrified before running into the house. Katelyn let out a small growl to which Daniel growled back, causing her and Issac to tilt their heads in joint submission.
"Daniel!" I yelled. "Are you seriously angry that your sister's mate is female?" I asked incredulously.
"What? No. I just didn't know. She has never came out. I mean she has brought boyfriends home before." Daniel said defending himself.
"She's probably Bi-sexual." Issac said with a shrug.
"I guess so. I just never knew...." Daniel said, the last part more to himself.
"You should go talk to her." I told him with a nudge. "She probably thinks you are upset or mad at her, not just surprised by the information."
"Yeah. Thanks baby." Daniel said, giving me a kiss on the forehead.
Daniel headed upstairs toward Danielle's bedroom to talk while Issac, Katelyn and I caught up in the packhouse living room. The conversation mainly consisted of Katelyn asking me questions about Danielle. I could not tell her much since I have been living off grounds for the last five years. Daniel and Danielle being three years older than me meant we did not play together that much as children either.
"Hey guys!" I hear Kellie say from behind me.
Turning around i see Kellie and Ben walk into the living room holding hands.
"f**k Kellie!" Issac yelled. "Milly told me you showed up here but are you dating someone that quickly?" Issac asked playfully.
Ben growled menacingly, making Issac apologize and cower.
"No." Kellie laughed, knowing Issac was joking. "I am actually a witch Issac, and this is my Amor, Beta Ben."
"Amor, like a witches mate?" Katelyn questioned.
"Yes!" Kellie replied excitedly.
"Awesome!" Issac said as Kellie approached him for a hug.
They gave eachother a side hug but Kellie's eye's began to glow green when they touched. As they pulled away Kellie looked Issac up and down.
"Did someone follow you here Issac?" She asked.
"No, not that I know of and we stopped twice, I did not notice anyone." Issac said.
Kellie turned towards Ben giving him an unknowable look.
"We have a problem," Kellie told Ben.
Just then, Daniel, Danielle and their father came strolling into the living room.
"Katelyn," He addressed his daughter's new mate.
"Yes Alpha." Katelyn said standing and bowing slightly.
Former Alpha Logan Black gave an approving nod before speaking again.
"Please join my daughter, son and I in my study." He ordered nicely, but there was a hint of Alpha tone laced in his words.
"Melody, please join us." Daniel said to me.
"No" Former Alpha Black said. "I know she is your mate but not this time, this is private family business."
That hurt, I thought I might be family soon. Daniel gave me a peck on the lips apologizing for his father before following everyone upstairs.
Kellie, Ben, Issac and I made our way towards my parents house. Daniel, Danielle and Katelyn promising to meet us there after their discussion. As we made our way through the courtyard to my childhood home Kellie stopped and looked around aburtly. When we asked her if she was alright she told us not to talk and hurry up. We walked into the backdoor of my parents house and Kellie grabs both Ben and my arms.
"We were being watched....." Kellie said.
