The Apogian War

chapter 3

　　The hunters road high into the cliffs of the forest with their v-mounted formation to drive most of the animals that wont veer away from where the hunters lead them into the traps to corner them in the cliffs.

　　The Terror began suddenly for the forest animals which were mostly deers, buffaloes and zebras and other wild animals, as the sound of the hunter came slowly and increasingly on opposite sides,, approaching the animals in different directions in which they were, while moving with great speed,the Hunters on their end and made no attempt to be quiet because they knew the animals had nowhere to go anymore,

　　Most of the deers seemed to bounce off the ground while running, this made them move very fast with little noise.The sound made by the huntsman were beginning to grow higher as they caught up to most of the animals, which looked very frightened by the sudden awareness that swarmed over them that they were entering into a trap.

　　More groups of hunters that parted from the others to the south to drive the animals towards the others were beginning to return, with many animals running forward ahead of them into the other groups trap, and the others joined the v-mounted formation.

　　The animals were on full flight leaping over falling woods and trunks of various species, shot thick grasses and any other thing on their path to safety.

　　The flicker of lights on their path was getting bolder, and after about a mile of running, the animals stopped dead on their path, already many of the animals that had not seen it coming had jumped and fell over the Clift which was about a two thousand feet drop, the hunters came cunningly slowly towards the frightened looking animals smiling broadly on their faces and rejoicing,

　　Hailing the great general"this is a huge bunch" said one of the Hunters" smiling,"it's the best I've ever been on "said another "these animals would make good pula"another chipped in.

　　The strategy they used in cornering the animals was said to have being a little boys idea named Edengard, from the family of Oz, which were believed to have been granted the gift of wisdom by the forefathers of their gods,

　　The huntsmen had almost forgotten the animals in their rejoicing only to discover that most of the animals had escaped while they were rejoicing.

　　"where are all the animals?"said the general angrily at the rejoicing Hunters, "they were just here" said one of the Hunters, another said, "what!!?, I just saw them moving on opposite directions wondering what was happening"another shouted "they've just ran pass through me now, said a very frightened voice, "what!!? said the co-leader of the hunt, "quit your useless jabbering and go after them!!" said the general staring an the huntsmen with a very deadly look,

　　it took about another four hours before the hunters rounded up the animals that had escaped then they went on their way cursing under their breath,saying things like "this was the worse hunt so far,this was a waste of time,I should have never came,etc,before they finally went back to the great domain of Darkovan.

　　As Dakovan woke up the next morning," it's a beautiful day "he said "I hope the council will let me be on my way sooner"he said absently,

　　As he was about standing up, his servant Julius walked into the room and said" if I may ask sir, who were you talking to" he said and at the same time dropped the tray, he came in with on a near by table

　　"no one Julius is just me and you here"Darkovan retorted,"your bed and laundry has been prepared,and Julia said to remind you of your promise to visit the manor" Julius said but Darkovan wasn't paying him any attention, instead he was protruding on the tray Julius had brought in,"I'll be on my way sir if that would be all"Julius said started towards the door.

　　"now wait Darkovan said, I will be leaving the domain this morning, so get Clover and Peseidon to get prepared and wait for me","this morning!!? Julius said surprised,but sir do you think that would be a good,,,!","do not always think Julius go get the horses ready or send someone do that"Darkovan said looking very agitated,

　　Julius apologized and walked away hastily, he had known better than to say anything more, Darkovan then eat his meal and looked eagerly at the side of his bed where he was sitting and 'lo and behold,'he brought forth both of his swords,one of which was a big flat saber called the sword of the dark light, and the other a short curved,slin shaped blade that he held by the side of his arm which extended up towards his elbow, called the silhouette of promise given to him by his mother before she died,"so long so good, I'm a little out of practice" he said smiling then left his chambers.

　　Darkovan didn't bother to attend the council mourning section,he quickly went through a series of secret passages taken quick steps in succession and was out of the castle in no time, to his horse and his two most trusted servants/body guards, Clover and Peseidon, which he had Julius inform them to be waiting for him at the end of the secret passage way.

　　" Sir you are wearing,,,,"started one of the servants named Clover" you need not remind me of what I'm wearing Clover, didn't Julius inform you on how we were going to be traveling,disguised!!? "I'm sorry sir he didn't tell us you were told us we are going to be disguised,that old grunt" clover murmured under his breath, but didn't know that Darkovan had heard him," I have warned you before Clover not to call him that in my presence haven't I"Darkovan asked,

　　"I'm sorry lord Darkovan,Peseidon said quickly before Clover could add any of his usual blatter,he shall not repeat this again".

　　Darkovan looked up at his shadow under the sun and said we better start going before the night gets us. They were already out of the Darkovan domains and on the outskirts of the peak,
