Oh My King

Annalisia POV . . . . . . I woke up, same as every other day. To the smell of freshly brewed coffee. It is currently 6:15 am on a Tuesday morning. First day of school as a sophomore. My name is Annalisia Kane, daughter of Alpha Landon Kane and Luna Lariyah Kane. I have 5 brothers and sisters. I'm the 3rd child. All of my siblings are gifted except for me. My two oldest brothers are twins Ryker and Ryder Kane, who are a year older than me and both next in line as Alpha. Then there is me, then my twin sisters. Maliah and Macey Kane and the youngest is my brother, Jackson Kane. Ryder and Ryker have the ability of super strength, they are also immune to wolves bane and silver just like our father, Maliah and Macey can talk to animals and Jackson. Well, let's just say that you don't want to think about any private thoughts around him because then, he will definitely know your deepest and darkest secrets. I am 5 foot 5 inches, with long light brown hair, my eyes are arctic blue with black rings. Everyone says it's almost mesmerizing. I swear I'm adopted, I look nothing like my parents and I also don't have any extravagant gifts as the rest of my siblings. The only thing different about me is the fact that I was born with my wolf. Her name is Angel. We're two peas in a pod. We're exactly alike down to our bubbly personalities. Only one person knows about her, although I believe my mother suspects. I've never lied to her about Angel though, mainly because she has never asked. Tonight is the first full moon since I turned 17 and even though I've always had Angel we've never shifted. Tonight will be that night. I can't wait to see her in all her form and glory. Anna, come on. Mom said we're going to be late for school if we don't hurry up and get ready. My brother Ryker calls out from the other side of my door. I'm up! I hollered back to him and could hear his footsteps disappear soon after. I groggily get up out of the warm comfort of my bed. Before I stood up a ping came through on my phone and immediately my tired state dissipated as soon as I saw who it was from. Onyx: Good morning beautiful! Me: Good morning! Onyx: I'll see you tonight for you first shift ok? Me: You're coming? Onyx: Of course, I wouldn't miss this for the world. You're my mate. I just wish we could tell everyone. Me: Me too, I'll see you tonight. I love you! Onyx: I love you. Have a good day at school. I have known about my mate bond with Onyx since I was young. but he didn't find out till he turned 18 last year. We keep it a secret since he is the only one that knows about Angel. He's known since I was 8. We've always been super close though. Mom has always said that Onyx and I have always been drawn to each other. He was a toddler and has wanted to protect me ever since the day we first met. I think she said I was 2 weeks old by then. My dad has never liked the idea of me and Onyx being so close. I'm really unsure why, they won't talk to me about it, mom hushes him anytime he brings it up saying, "He's nothing like him" I never knew what that meant. So I guess you could say that they have their secrets and I have mine. I got dressed and opted for an off the shoulder black halter top, a short black skirt to match and ballet flats. I did a minimum amount of makeup, mascara and lip gloss. I always leave my hair in a ponytail. But today I decided to leave it down. Good morning sweetie. Mom greeted as I sat down at the table. Morning mom. All of my siblings are already at the table, eating and in their own conversations with each other. So I have an announcement to make kids. My dad broke his silence to say, once we were all seated. We all looked at him waiting for him to say something. Your mother and I have been discussing something and for the rest of the year we will be having a few guests stay for an in person training. While it's not an ideal situation, I should tell you that he's unable to attend the usual alpha training due to his status. Who is it? Ryker spoke first. Onyx Jordan. My mother spoke proudly. While my father rolled his eyes. clearly he was not happy with this decision. She had saved him and his twin sister Sapphire before they were born although like I said. my parents are vague on details. Great. I feel as if we haven't seen him in forever, Ryder chimed in. My heart swooned. And it's not something I could think about with my brother Jackson around. He doesn't need to know. I concentrated on anything else but this conversation. Is Sapphire coming too? Macey asked. My father answered her with. No, since onyx, his beta and gamma will be royalty, they can't attend the normal training that Ryker and Ryder will be attending next year. Since our pack is the second largest in the country next to the kings, they will be training here for a year then going back home to finish the training they have been doing over there. Makes sense. Nobody can train the future alpha king, except the king himself, since they don't have the status in school. But they'll still need school and different sceneries to be fully equipped for their position. Ryder Spoke... He's more of the serious twin. Ryker is more of the playful one, but when it comes down to it, they both mean business. Exactly son. Dad said proud. When will they be here? Jackson asked. Today, as a matter of fact, they should be here and settled in before you all return from school, Mom answered. Annalisia, Maliah. The both of you have been really quiet. Do you want to add anything? Any questions on your mind? My dad asked us. No. I replied, trying not to give away my secrets. Who will be coming with him, daddy? Maliah asked. Jason Summers is the future royal beta and Kaden Lane is the future royal Gamma. But if that is it, then the four of you shouldn't be late for your first day of school. Ryder, Ryker. The two of you will be head of patrol today, so I'll be waiting for you in my office to discuss some details I want to implement. Yes sir. We all replied in unison. We said our goodbyes and headed to where we needed to be. Once I was away from everyone, I pulled out my phone. Me: Why didn't you tell me? Onyx: Awww, It seems as if my surprise was ruined. Me: So now I know why you'll be here tonight for my first shift. Onyx: Like I would miss it anyway. I'll see you after school baby. I love you. Me: I love you. I put up my phone and proceeded with my walk to school. My heart is soaring to know that my mate will be under the same roof as me for the next year. But then again, I'm sad because I can't tell my family we're mates. I just don't understand why my father hates him. I met up with my best friend Danica James. She's Beta Ajaks and Riyann's second child. We grew up together but I can't even tell her my deepest secrets, mainly because our future beta, who is also her older brother, has a thing for me. He vowed to our family that if he never found his mate, then he wanted me. Dad was all for it, considering Ajak is his best friend and Riyann is mom's best friend, plus their wolves are distant cousins. Apparently, their wolves are reincarnated and descendants of the moon goddess herself. Hmm who knew? So it's safe to say she would side with her brother. Lately, she has been on my case non stop hinting that Drew has been wanting to talk to me. I've been doing all I could to avoid it. Annalisia! Danica called out to me and walked away from a car I had never seen before. Danica is a grade above me. All the boys swoon over her and why wouldn't they? She's drop dead gorgeous and she is extra sweet. She's on the gymnastics team, 5'9'', shoulder length blonde hair, a body to die for and naturally tanned skin. Who's car is that? I asked curiously as she approached me. Come on, I'll show you. She grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me to a blacked out 1967 Chevy Camaro. I don't know much about vehicles, but my father has an obsession, so I have learned a few things growing up. Just as we were coming to a stop, a god like man appeared out of the car. The girls outside were basically melting at the sight of him. There stood Drew James in all his glory. I ain't even going to lie. He is a beautiful specimen. He's tall, about 6'2'', naturally tanned like Danica, tight muscles that you could cut butter with. I doubt he has an ounce of body fat. Short black 4am fade with a slick design, and the straightest teeth I've ever seen and a smile to die for. But I can't seem to look at anyone but my mate. Not that anyone knew of him like that. It's just not in me. Anna. Drew said as he walked up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and bringing me into his embrace. I hugged him back but all I saw was the dirty looks I was getting from the other girls. I hadn't seen Drew all summer. He and my brothers went around to various packs to do some in house training, but it was also an excuse to see if they could find their mates outside of our pack. None of them did except our future gamma Dominic. I have missed you. He said as he let me go. Hey Drew, How was your summer? As I asked him, Danica excused herself and walked away, leaving us to talk. This is an uncomfortable situation for me. I may be the Alpha's daughter, but since everyone knows I don't have powers like my siblings, I am basically a plain Jane in the pack and stick to myself most of the time. Drew was about to speak, before I was rudely shoved out of the way by the queen b***h of the school. Nadia Rivers. Nadia is basic and like every other wolf here. She has a horrible attitude and mindset, blond, tall and beautiful. She's head cheerleader and it shows. But what's most important to Nadia is her status. She is a warrior's daughter, not even our head warrior, but she thinks she deserves to be Luna or the beta female for whatever reason. Honestly, I don't even think she gives a f**k as long as it is a top rank. She seems to think she can have anyone she wants, especially my brothers or, in this case right now, Drew. I rolled my eyes at her interruption. What a b***h. Drew, Baby. I have missed you all summer. Have you missed me? Nadia says as she wraps her arms around his neck. Her spawns are around as usual on standby. Drew removed her hands off of him and said, Nadia" I believe I was over here talking to Anna before you rudely interrupted. Nadia turned to look at me as if she didn't know I was even there. Oh, I'm sorry Anna, I didn't see you there. She was trying to sound innocent, but that didn't work for me. I hate bullies and her and her crew were definitely on top of that chain. Of course you did, Nadia. I may be of Alpha blood, but I don't have a d**k for you to try to f**k your way in to the top rank. I said as I rolled my eyes and put my arms over my chest. A crowd formed, Nadia looked like she was raging.. I may hate the attention, but I won't hold my tongue to disrespect. Alpha blood be damned. People were laughing at Nadia or what I said. Either way, she was beet red at that point. WHY YOU LITTLE.... She started to scream out as she raised her fist at me. I don't know who the hell she thinks she is. Does she not get the fact that she is not of a ranked blood. I'm laughing on the inside. Angel was about ready to show her our true strength when Drew caught her hand. Are you really this stupid Nadia? He seethed under his breath. Drew! I.. She must have forgotten he was still there. She looked shocked. Do you forget who she is? Let Alpha Landon find out and you might as well banish yourself from this pack before he throws you in a cell along with your family for disrespecting his daughter! APOLOGIZE! She looked at me and put her head down. I'm sorry Annalisia. I lost my head for a moment. Whatever, Stay away from me. I don't need your drama. The bell rang and I walked away. Drew was talking to Nadia and she looked embarrassed. Good. Someone needs to keep her in her place. I pushed that scenario away. I plan to have a good day and nobody will ruin my mood. My mate was coming and I couldn't wait to get this day over with.
