Chapter 5: The party II

David POV:

It's a three hour drive to the dark moon pack. We leave around two, everybody has packed a suitcase to stay overnight. In the end we left in four SUVs. I have around twenty people with me for this trip, most of them are warriors and unmated. My betta peter stays behind to take care of the pack while I am away. I drive one of the SUVs and next to me is my sister. We go through a plan we have put together and finalise the plan. After that we chat about small things in life. She is a beautiful woman and therefore gets information easily from the male's. She's 5.8ft tall and has wavy black hair like me. Hanna has beautiful grayish eyes. Sometimes it looks like light blue. She is 20 years old and is three years younger than me. Her asset is her beauty and knows it comes in handy sometimes. She helps me whenever she can and I trust her more than anything. We stop for 5 minutes so we can stretch our legs. I debrief one more time with my men. "What we are looking for is a girl who is a lantern. She is abused but you don't see it directly. We have to find her and bring her to our pack to integrate her for the council. If they did abuse her the need to be prosecuted and punished for their crimes. Okay back to your SUV'S and we won't stop again". They cheer and nod at me in agreement. Then we are on our way to the dark moon pack. When we arrive they are waiting for us. I step out first and then the rest of my pack. The alpha agreed with us " Hello alpha david and hello to you all. Welcome to the dark moon pack. I hope your trip was comfortable". "Thank you alpha jason and jess the trip went well. I am alpha david from blood moon" I introduce myself. After some introductions we went inside their packhouse. We were in the living room and waiters entered the room with some amuses. They were fantastic and they tasted like heaven. The alpha introduced me to some more people who he thinks are important. They weren't outside the house. I was bored with all the introductions I couldn't care and didn't bother to learn their names. There were a lot of she-wolves maybe they hoped that they were my mate but my mate was not here. Or so I thought my wolf knew better when we meet her here. My wolf was restless and annoying so I turned him out. The alpha asked me to have a meeting with him first thing in the morning. I agreed with that. After some socialising we went to the dinning room for dinner. My sister sits next to me on my left side. On my right side sits alpha jason so we can talk to each other. After ten minutes the entrance is served. It looks delicious and it tastes very good. "Who made this food, it is so good" I ask. " We have hired a caterer who has potential so we hired them to see what they can do," Alpha Jason said. I nod to him " We have to give talented people an opportunity to see what they can do. They need one chance and that can change their life's". He agreed with me. The rest of dinner time we make small talk. We have coffee in his office and talk about minor business matters. Then I go and change for the party they have for us. They hope some of my men and women do find their mate here. So we can strengthen the bond of alliance. I hope that nobody finds his or her mate here. So far the odds are in my favour. After I change I go down the stairs. When I am by the kitchen I stand there for a minute. My wolf Blake urges me to go into the kitchen. But I am convinced that nobody is in the kitchen. I don't smell somebody in the kitchen and there is no sound I can hear. There is someone in the kitchen, go in there you i***t blake said. He goes crazy and he walks back and forth in my head. Then I smell an intense smell of perfume. I see a woman who walks to me. " Hi Alpha David, do you want to dance with me?" a blond woman asked me. I looked at her and she took me to the garden before I could answer her. When we are on the dance floor I ask her name. " I am Danielle sweetheart" and she winked at me. I roll my eyes at her, such a flirt. She practically throws herself at me. Soon more she-wolfs gather around me and they all want to dance with me. I politely dance with them but I don't give them a chance to touch me. Luckily for me my sister excuse me and take me separate to keep me posted. " I didn't see the lantern at the dinner or at this party. I could only smell wolves so far. I don't know where she is, maybe you can ask the alpha very carefully?" she says. " No he doesn't trust me and I don't trust him. He will never just tell me what he does to her or give her up easily. Maybe I can ask if all the females of this pack are present at this party". "Hmmm... that's a good idea but be subtle, do it in the name of your men so they have seen every female. I will ask more around and try some man maybe they will spill the beans about her whereabouts" my sister said. ’’Okay keep me posted and see you in the morning". She nods in response and walks away. Then alpha jason walks up to me. " Are you enjoying the party?" he asked. "Jess, it's very nice. I hope my men find their mate tonight. Is every female of your pack here?" I ask him. "Jess alpha, every female of my pack is present at this party" he answered. I nod at him " I think we are not lucky in love if their mate was here they would have known it by now. That is a shame I had my hopes up high". No you dont you are very happy about it blake say in my head. Shut up he doesn't have to know that, that I am very lucky. My wolf rolls his eyes at me. " Jess david very unfortunate that nobody found their mate today" he agrees with me. I look at him did he just call me david? I decided to not comment on that because I had to play nice. That blonde woman walks to us. She pouted " You haven't danced with me alpha jason" Danielle said. She batted her eyelashes at him. He stretches his hand at her and she takes it. " So are you mates? Jason, have you found your mate, why didn't you introduce us?" I ask him. " No we are not mates but I think about making her mine. I don't think I will find my mate and if she is weak I will reject her because Danielle is a strong female". I could only nod at him I was angry. How could he say that, that he will reject his mate if she is not to his liking. He has no respect for the moon goddess and the mate bond. I want to shout at him but I don't. He walks away with Danielle to the dance floor. I walked away but I was stopped by some females who wanted some more dancing. After a half hour I walk out of the garden because I. AM. DONE. I say through the mindlink that I am going to my room and that I see them tomorrow. When I walk in the house the most delicious scent hits me. It is mouth watering it's roses mixt with vanilla. It's very sweet and my wolf goes crazy. I follow the scent to a door behind the stairs. I try to open the door but it won't open. I knock on the door but I don't hear anything, no answer. I think she's already asleep. So I let her sleep and first thing in the morning I will go and visit her. I go upstairs to my room. My wolf doesn't agree with me and says that we can go burst through the door to our mate. To make sure she is safe in our arms. It takes all my self control to not do that and go to bed. After two hours I finally fall asleep dreaming about her and what she looks like and be like.
