I had always heard stories of werewolves and vampires but always thought that they were just stories. Now I’m being told that those stories are real and I am a werewolf.
“Yes, you are a werewolf.” My grandma assured me. That sentence kept repeating in my head over and over again. I’m a werewolf!? I’m a werewolf! I’m a werewolf.

The next few days went by in a blur, between getting ready for college and my waitressing job at the Crescent Moon diner, I was very busy. I’m going to the best college in Crescent Hill, Crescent Hill University (CHU). I’ve always seen myself going there even at a young age. As I adjusted my apron, I came out of my thoughts and picked up the food at the window and brought it to the table. The customers gave me a polite smile (which I returned), thanked me, and I left to clean a nearby table. I heard the door open, and my best friend, Lily, walked past me to seat the customer. Then, I walked back to the kitchen to put the dirty dishes in the sink. I went into the bathroom to change out of my work uniform since my shift was over. I grabbed my bag and walked towards the door noticing my shoelace was undone. That’s when I bumped into someone while opening the door to leave.
“Sorry.” I quickly blurted while rushing past.
“It’s okay.” he remarked from behind me. I headed toward my car to drive home. When I got inside I finally tied my shoelace, thankfully I didn’t trip over it on the way to my car. I got in my car and looked up to check if there were flyers on the bulletin board outside. I noticed a colorful flyer about a party that was being thrown for the freshmen at CHU. The party is on Friday, August 28th and starts at 10PM, which is today. On my way home, I decided that I would go to the party. I think it will be a good way to get my mind off the strange news I was told. I arrived home, went up to my room, and searched through my closet to find something to wear. I decided on a short, pretty, floral sundress and a light jean jacket over top with some regular flats. I brushed my light chestnut brown wavy hair and went over to my mirror to apply some light make-up. After that, I went downstairs and told my grandma that I was going out for the night. I grabbed my keys, got into my car, and pulled up the directions to the party.
“Lets have some fun tonight.” I said before taking off.
