Figuring things out

2046 Words
KARIELLE "That can't be. Can you run it again, doc? That's unfeasible, he looks nothing like my uncle!" Daxton claims, walking back and fourth in the room and running his fingers through his hair. He looks super stressed out, and I feel so bad for him. Our lives lately have seemed like a roller coaster, emotions included. Everything has been hitting us out of nowhere, we barely have had time to take it all in before we have to move on to something else that we're not prepared for. "Daxton, what if it is?" I ask him, and he shakes his head. "If it were true, how do you explain a whole new person? He is not my uncle, Karielle. If he was, I would have known the first time I met him." He retorts back, and I just stay quiet, silently thinking. By the time I look back to Dr. Morris, his eyes seem to be glossed over. "Sometimes when spirits aren't meant to die, they inhabit a body that is defeated within itself." He procures, his voice sounding like an instant echo. I look to Daxton, him staring at Dr. Morris with wide eyes. He walks over to him before shouting "Is that you, Goddess?!" He grabs ahold of Dr. Morris' collar, shaking him. "Tell me right f*****g now! You love to play with people's lives, don't you?! TELL ME!" He roars, his Lycan Alpha voice shaking the walls, before papers started falling off the shelves from his outpour of vibrational emotions adding to the situation he's found himself in. I walk over to him, putting my hand on his shoulder. before his shoulder twitched, and slowly he sank his shoulders back down noticing it was only me there trying to comfort him. "Daxton, it's alright. We will figure this out. Whatever it is, it isn't Dr. Morris' fault. He can't control this, I know it." I try and soothe him, but I can still see the distress among his features. "We need to go, Daxton." I tell him, slowly pulling at his arm to loosen his grip on the Dr. He drops his arm, and looks at me, the fear clearly spelled out on his face. "What are we getting into, Karielle? I've waited so long to come back here, and hopefully meet my mate, but this is nothing like I expected." He tells me, and I can hear the sadness in his voice. "We're both still figuring it out. I think we should take a day to let this sink in, and leave here for now. Dr. Morris was only trying to honor what you requested, I'm sure he didn't expect to get into any of this, especially not to uncover more secrets that we had no knowledge of." I reply, Dr. Morris looking my way with a grateful expression, seemingly out of the trance he was just in. "Thank you Karielle, thank you! I never meant for any of this to happen, I'm only doing my job the best way I'm trained to. Sometimes, things happen that aren't in our control, and all I can do is apologize for not knowing before hand." He asserts, and I nod my head at him understandingly. "I know. He just needs some time, that's all. I know I did when I found out things that were life changing for me, I still am finding out moreas I go. It's not always pleasant, but it's necessary. I think trauma that hasn't been formally addressed, can cause an unexpected reaction in us all. Time to process and deal with it on our own is all we need." I tell him, giving him a light pat on the side of his arm before offering him a sympathetic smile. "I'm gonna get him out of here, if you have anymore information, can you call the King and Queen, please? Don't hesistate to reach out." I firmly tell him, and he nods his head questioningly. "Why them?" He asks, and I smile, ready to reveal what I hadn't known myself all this time. "They are my mother and father." I reveal, Knowing this would be a shock to him. I turn back the other way, before I start walking out of the file room, Daxton in tow. "We need to get back to the castle, Moira and the crew can help us with this." I say, hoping he would calm down. "You mean, your mother and father?" He tries to correct me. "Let me figure that out for myself. They may be my family by blood, but actions are what speak louder for me. I did believe I had family once and they beat me and didn't care about my wellbeing, now I need to judge for myself whether someone is worthy to hold that title for me." I astern, and he looks at me dumbfounded. He stops our stroll before turning in front of me, facing me directly. "We need to talk, I know we may not know much when it comes to eachother, but Im sure we can share the despair in our problems. Can we atleast try? We have so much to talk about in getting to know eachother and our past before we can really move forward." He tells me, a hopeful look he presented before looking me in my eyes, a silent stare not going unnoticed. He slowly inched his hand against my supple pink tinted cheek, running his finger down the length of it before moving his face closer to mine. This is it! This is it! Akara happily implies before clapping her hands in my mind. Daxton brings his lips forward, laying them gently upon mine before he moved in sync, waiting for my reaction. I slowly kiss him back, before suddenly pulling away. We don't even know how to kiss I contradict Akara, before she can have a chance to go against my actions. This was not the right time or the right place. Buzzkill Akara scoffs, crossing her arms before treading to the back of my mind. Wolves are always so much more blunt than us as humans, and it kind of makes me uncomfortable. It's gonna take some getting used to, even though I feel like this is how it'll be whether I'm used to it or not. "Is everything okay?" Daxton asks when I draw back, ending the kiss he bestowed upon me. "Yes, I-It's just.. I.. I don't know. There's so much going on I feel like I have no idea who I am, and truly I don't. In this moment it doesn't feel right, I'm sorry." I apologize, and he looks down sadly. "It's alright, I kinda figured it was a little rush, but I couldn't help myself." He smiles, causing me to have this big cheesy grin. I didn't say I didn't like it, I smile to myself, only that it's too soon. He grabs my hand before we start our tread back to the castle, getting ready for what awaits us there. JENNY I watch within the dark trees as the stupid Lycan Alpha kisses the unsuspecting abomination, and I can't help but gag. This was not what I had planned to see when I put my finger to my ear, making sure my bluetooth was in place before speaking. "It's happened. She's found her mate. From what I'm judging so far, nothing has happened, but that may not last too long by the looks of it." I relay to the man on the other side of my headphone. "Don't worry, things never go as you would suspect them to. She's not the type to move fast considering what our leader has put her through, and Daxton has been waiting a long time for his mate, so he will be patient. We will have our time to shine before that happens!" Allen chuckles. "I just hope our plan works, and we can kill her without causing any harm to us. The rest I'm not worried about, we can figure out a way to obliterate them, once the deed is done of course." I chortled, knowing they'll never see us coming when it's our time to strike. They're definitely in for a big surprise. We hadn't suspected Karielle would have a mate before it was time, but we can make some slight adjustments to acomodate our pending doon for these animals. I'm so ready to get this over with, so we never have to deal with another controlling wolf again. My sister perished because of controlling wolves, not allowing her to live her life as she so pleased. What was so wrong with her wanting some semblance of power and respect in her life? It doesn't matter now, anyway, what's done is done. We will be the ones in power soon, and they will regret ever letting an abomination with power step into our world, let alone associate themselves with that mutt! She was Margaret's pawn and hers alone, so the others who have now placed themselves in the middle, will have a rude awakening when it's time to strike back. I'm sure they know about Margaret's sudden departure, but I'm postiive they won't see us coming in the way that we plan. They definitely won't understand what hit them when the so called powerful Karielle, from a full blooded Lycan and a Lycan Sorcerer half breed, die a brutal death right in front of them, knowign there won't be anything they can do to stop it. Once that happens, we will have them in the palm of our hands. "I think we're fully prepared, sire, as no one is suspecting an attack from all of us. I'm positive the King and Queen do not know the extent of the situation, especially with Alpha Christian and his demons. We have more time to plan before they can even be told what has happened. By the time we move in, they won't even know we're after them." I laugh, Allen laughing along with me. "Let's just hope you're right. Daxton isn't stupid, I think he's had suspicion of me all along, I was just able to play it off long enough to get away when I needed to. Let's hope all of us together can accomplish the same thing. As you know with them all combined, we could be looking at being defeated and met with the face of death if they were to catch wind of us all working together. That's if they don't already know." He concedes, and I just grin at his answer. "Even if they do, we can work around it. You're acting has surely came in handy before, right? We may need it sooner or later. So, get to practicing, just in case it'll be needed in the near future. Daxton will believe you over someone like me or one of the others, if you come at him the right way." I smirk, and I hear Allen's labored breaths on the other end of the connection. "I just hope it works." He replies, and I know we can certainly find a way to make him believable if we had to resort to that. "If it doesn't work, you'll be responsible for my demise, and I'm sure Luna Margaret would not be too pleased with that. This better come to fruition, or else you're gonna be on the receiving end of her wrath. You know what that's like, and you may just end up losing a limb or two. You're the closest to the castle, so let's move our plan forward, and make it a little more detailed just in case we require a plan B or some sort of backup. We will be watching, and we will come up with the best time to beat the undefeated Bloodstar pack, something no one has ever accomplished before." A cold chill goes through my spine at his words, and if we could approach that feeling of certainty, the realm will be ours. I smirk, heading on back to our secret location to tell Luna Margaret the news. I just know she will be astonished with the new things we've discovered, and be even more pleased to know we have a possibility of winning.
