Leading Up To The New Pups First Year

After the new pack members got to the house and got settled in for a few days. William and I announced that it was going to be the 4 newest pup's first birthday and that we will need every pack member's help setting up the festivities. The newest pack members were so excited to be involved in the celebration that they came right up to William and me and asked us what needed to be done and that they were willing to help in any way possible. I told some of the women that had young pups that I needed them to help me with picking out their birthday outfits and that they would be able to get something for their pups as well for that day. Some of the women were telling me that they didn't have any money because John refused to pay the omegas for the work that they did. The only ones that got paid were the higher-ranking wolves. I told them that they had nothing to worry about when it came to the cost of anything and that they would be getting paid for any work that they do in or around the territory. A lot of the younger pups were around the same ages as our pups and the Night Howl pups.

As soon as a found this out I linked William and told him that we need to do something about the new member's pups that they have never had a party and they are all ranging in age from newborn to the same age as our boys and he said that he would get the changes made to the party details and have the pack get all the changes made to the decorations. I told him that was perfect and I thanked him. When the women and I got to the boutique they were all in awe of all the different designs and all the different outfits and sizes for every occasion. I told them to find anything that was in the sizes that they needed for themselves and their families and I would cover it. I made the prices reasonable so that even the wolves with the least amount of money would be able to afford the clothes. When everyone was done with their shopping we headed home. I told everyone that I would personally come to their rooms and help them get set up if they wanted me to.

Then Cheyenne and Lahaunta walked over and offered to help out as well. Everyone thanked the three of us and said that would be great. I got the feeling that they weren't used to asking for help from anyone. While I was helping one of the families with getting their stuff put away and organizing the rooms for the family I got a mind link from a warrior saying someone was right outside of our territory line pacing back and forth but won't talk and looking at the house with a look of everyone should die. I mind linked back and said that I will be right down and on my way, I linked William and told him "potential trouble at the borderline and we needed to check it out." he said through the link that he was on his way and he would meet me at the door. Once we got to the borderline we saw a man about 6 feet tall and really angry.

I asked who he was, he told me that he was John's brother and his name was Brian. I mind-linked Mary Jane asking her to come to the border. She told me that she would be right there and the link was closed. He was still pacing when she got to us. She has a look of terror for a second then she composes herself. She asks him why he is here when he turns to her and tells us that he can't reach John and the rest of the pack and wants to know why she looks at William and me and we tell him that the pack lives here and that John is dead for trying to kill us and our pups. Mary Beth told him how it happened. She told him that our warriors had them on the ground before they could get to us but Harley recognized them and told us to stop and not to hurt them before he got a chance to talk with them. I asked how he knew them and he said that they were his and Mathew's aunt and uncle; they would have been the next alpha and Luna if his mom and dad hadn't taken over. I could do nothing else but look at the two young boys and the two adults that stood next to them to try to figure out how they were related because John William and I grew up together.

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks when we were younger and went to our first mating ritual and ceremony they met and realized they were mates and she moved to our pack from the Night Howl pack and that was about 20 years ago. They never had kids that I knew about because I have never seen her with any children. I told the warriors to let the pair of them go but to watch them for a moment I needed to talk to the boys about the situation that happened earlier this morning. William and I took them into the house and explained to them why their aunt and uncle were no longer allowed in the pack anymore. They looked at us and asked why they would want to take everything from us and take over the pack. I asked them why don't go ask them about it. They agreed so the four of us walked back outside and the boys looked at John and his mate and asked "why they want to try to take over this pack and everything that came with it."

John had the gall to say that it was us that killed his mate's pack and took over the pack and made it hell for her even though she wasn't there. Every time she wrote to her pack to see if she could visit with her mom and dad we would take the letters and throw them away, John told them. Even though I had your stuff searched and found the letters in their stuff before they left the other day. I looked at him and held up my hand and a warrior stepped forward with the letters in hand and Mathew and Harley looked at the letters and then looked at John and his mate and then looked at William and me and said that it was their mom and dad that attacked the Night Howl Pack, not the Rose Moon Pack so there should be no conflict with us and then the mate told them that it was William and I that did it and the warrior held the truth in his hand that they had the letters the whole time. Well, that was my queue. I looked at her and told her that I had ordered their stuff searched before they were escorted off the property the other day and that is when we found the letters in John's stuff under the bed in their room.

She turned to John and asked him if that was true and if so she was going to reject him as her mate and then he could go on being a rogue just like her brother and sister-in-law. He told her that it wasn't that we were just trying to turn her against him and she said “I don't think so that she thought he had done it and that him Andenarras and Lupe were in on it together without her knowing it.” Finally with the persuasion from the warriors at her request he gave up the truth that it was their idea to take over both of the packs to rule them as one and then after they stepped down then he and her would-be Alpha and Luna of both packs. She looked at me and William and said do with him what you will and she didn't care what happened to him and then she looked at him and told him that she rejected him and he accepted. so we asked the boys what they wanted to be done with him. Harley was the one to speak up and tell me that he wanted him executed for what he did to us and his aunt. I gave the signal and he was beheaded.

I looked at her and asked her what her name was and she replied Marybeth. I looked at William and he nodded his head I asked her if she would like to come back to the pack and she asked me if I was serious or not when William and I told her that we were she agreed to it and then we sent some guards to help her get her stuff and we burned John's with his body. I was glad to have her back. She was innocent in all the plots against us (at least I hope). I showed her to her room and asked if she needed anything for the night. She said no she would be alright for the night.

The next day William and I waited until Marybeth came downstairs to have breakfast with us and the pack everyone looked at her with knowing eyes that she was losing it and we all understood why she felt that way. After we were done William and I asked her if she was ready to go get the rest of her stuff from her and John’s house. She said that she was and that she was thinking of selling the house and the land. I told her if that is what she wanted we would stand by her. We loaded up into William and my truck and set off to her house. We had a dozen warriors with us to help load anything she wanted to keep that was too heavy for her or me to carry.

About an hour later we arrived at the property and she opened the gate to let us in we were immediately greeted by about 30 men and women who surrounded our vehicles and then looked at Marybeth as she was getting out of the truck. She told them that we were the Alpha and Luna that John went to try to kill and take over our pack and that he was dead. They looked at William and me and some growled but were shut down right away by her telling them that he had planned to kill our children as well. Marybeth told them after we got into the house that she was planning to sell the house and the property unless they wanted to stay. They were more than welcome to but they would be rouges. They split in half after she told them that she was going to be dissolving the pack and that she was going back to her original pack with William and me.

After Brian left William had some of the warriors do a perimeter run to see if any others were looking for a fight so that Marybeth William and I could get back to setting up for the pup's birthday party. As we were getting to the ballroom where the party is going to be held so that we can have our growing pack all in attendance but we are going to also have stuff like games and rides on the horses we are even setting up for a petting zoo when William gets a link saying the perimeter is clear but I ask where they are I keep getting this uneasy feeling when the head warrior tells me that they are on the south side of the territory I tell them that I am on my way ill be there in about ten minutes.

William looked at me and asked if I needed him to come with me and I told him no that I could handle it if I needed him then I would call for him he told me ok and kissed me with all the love he could put into one kiss. I kept thinking god how did I get so lucky to have this guy as my mate and father of my pups. When we broke our kiss all of the children were around us and wanted to know what is going on and so William told them that I am going to go help the warriors with the rest of the perimeter run and that I would be right back. I gave all the children hugs and kisses and then left the house not knowing if I would make it back or not. I then heard William and our pack members say that I will and if need be they will be there in force to help me all I had to do was call for them if there was the first sign of trouble.

As I got out the back door I shifted into Star. She told me that she was able to hear the conversation between brian and us so she was able to pick up on some things that she thought were not right and that she was glad we were going to check them out and that she was able to read him and some of the new warrior's body language and the are in fact in league with John and the others that tried to attack us. When she said that I linked with William and the rest of the pack and was going to tell him but was told that Star had already told him everything and that they were right behind me and we were going to settle this one way or the other.

As I was getting to the south side borderline I saw a black wolf with more gray than black due to old age I guessed and as I got a little closer I saw a force almost as big as the one that I had behind me with William right on my flank. I also noticed that everyone came with him including my late-blooming sisters who didn't get their wolves till they were the ages of 30 and 36 because they are half-human. I mind-linked them and told them that I wanted to take the pups back to the house and go to the bunker to say safe. they told me that they wanted to stay and fight I told them in the calmest voice I could that they have not been trained as fighters and all of us would be at more risk because we would be trying to hold the bad guys off and trying to protect them and the pups at the same time. Hearing that they agreed to go back to the house till it was safe.

I watched as they left and didn't turn back to our opponents even after the old one growled and snapped his teeth at me wanting my full attention till I got a link from the girls saying that they were in the bunker and safe. star turned back to him and then said to me that we should shift back and talk with him to find out what is going on about that time the warriors in question stepped forward on the opponent's side of the lines William and I tried to mind-link with them and couldn't get through then I saw Brian standing off to the side of the old wolf he said that all they want to do is talk about everything and that they couldn't talk with us in our wolf form so William and I went behind some of our best warriors and changed we always carry an extra pair of shorts and for the females we carry a sports bra or shirt with us when we are in our wolf form so that we could "talk" as for the warriors if I got my hands or teeth on them there were going to be done for.

Once we walked out of our circle the old wolf was shifting as well looking around he spots my dad and George and Cheryl and talked to them like the three of them are best friends. They just look at him and snap their teeth at him they are not as close as they once were if they ever were. Then the old man turns to me and starts trying to talk to me about where his mate and his son were I looked at him and had to ask who he was talking about being his mate? When he glared at me and told me that Anne was his mate and that the two girls were his daughters. I looked at him then at my dad and asked if he knew something that I didn't he looked at me just as shocked to hear these words as I was. So to settle this I called for Jamie and Kim to leave the pups with the other omega's and back to the south borderline that there is some here that they need to meet or discredit for me. They automatically agreed and said they were on their way and would be there soon. as soon as they got there they shifted back and were dressed as they walked to the front of the line they asked me what was going on I pointed to the old man in front of us and they looked like they knew him. I looked at both of them and asked the question that we all wanted to know if he was their father or not.

Once they realized who he was they looked at me and said that he was their mom's true mate and that he looked like the guy that she told them about that was their real dad. I told them ok and if it came down to it and there was a fight did they want to side with him or us and they looked at him with disgust and said that they would side with us always. Okay was all I had to say to them before the old man whose name we found out was James. I asked MaryBeth to come over and help talk to them and give her side of the story. She was happy to explain everything to them. When she got to the front of the line she saw her ex-father-in-law and got really upset but she held it together and explained why both his kids and his mate are dead and what brought about their deaths.

Once she got done explaining everything it was mine and William's turn to explain why his daughter and son-in-law are dead. I told him everything that happened from the harvest festival and the mating ritual and ceremony to them sending a letter to their pack telling them to get ready for the attack. I told him that I had a copy of the letter because the whole time they were here after the ceremony I was getting a feeling that they were going to do something to harm us in some way. Then about a week later their warriors came and they attacked us but they weren't alone Anne was with them and she went after our children and we had to kill her to protect ourselves and our young as well as our pack and their young. He had a look of pure hatred and was ready to shift back into his wolf and attack us but was stopped by Brian and another woman that looked to be about my age. I asked if he wanted to see the letters that they had sent and received he nodded yes knowing that if he spoke that it would put him one step closer to getting angry enough to attack us. I turned to my office omega and she brought the letters forward she handed him the letters and stepped back while he read them. he looked up from the first one and said that they were fake and that they were not either of his kids or Anne's handwriting when Brian asked to see them he handed them to him and he read the first one and said to his father that they were his sister and brother as well as his mother's handwriting and that this was all for nothing that we were justified in their deaths.

James was again not happy about that answer and shifted and went after me but Brian got in between him and me and attacked his father and had him around his throat in no time. James fought to get free of him but it was no use in his old age he wasn't as strong as he was in his younger days and gave in quickly and shift back into his human form after he was dead. Once Brian changed back William asked "why did he kill his own father to save us his family's enemy" Brian just stated that once his father showed just where his brother and sister got their ability to be so power-hungry from that he couldn't let it go on and that he would be taking over the pack from his father that was laying on his territory dead and his pack rejoyced we set up a date to have a meeting to make a peace treaty with Alpha Brian and the DarkMoon Wolf Pack. We set the meeting up for right after the new pup's first birthday which was the next day.
