CHAPTER 5

He couldn't control himself,he had to excuse himself from the table. Natalie noticed he doesn't seem alright so she followed him.
When she got to the front of his room,she knocked but no response came back.
“I'm coming in,” she said before she opened the door and went in. When she got in,she was looking around his room surprised.
Everything in his room was screaming luxury. She remembered she went there to check on Ezekiel.
“Ezekiel,where are you? Are you okay?” She said looking for him.
Ezekiel could hear her voice from the bathroom. “Why are you doing this to me Natalie?” He was talking to himself when the door of the bathroom suddenly opened.
She rushed inside, “ Are you okay? “I noticed you weren't looking fine when you stood up from the dining table,”she said, looking worried.
“Do you really want to know what is going on with me?” Ezekiel asked her.
She nodded her head. “You are the cause,I can't get you out of my head Natalie,I really love you and want you to be my real wife, let's forget about the contract,” as he was talking,he was walking towards her till her back reached the wall in the bathroom.
Natalie was surprised to hear all that Ezekiel had said. As she was about to speak, she began to hiccup.
Ezekiel laughed and said, “ I bet you are nervous and afraid.”
When Natalie didn't reply to what he said,he kissed her passionately and gently.
When he saw that she didn't resist him,he located the shower button and turned it on. Then he kissed her so hard like he was desperate.
Natalie kissed him back with the same energy. They were already soaked,one thing led to the other and they had a steamy night full of moans and pleasure.
The next morning, it was on a Saturday so it's a work free day. Natalie woke up in Ezekiel's arms,all the memories of last night rushed inside her head. She was feeling shy just like the first time they were intimate.
She looked at his sleeping face and smiled. “He looks cute when sleeping too,” she said to herself. She touched his face and Ezekiel woke up.
“Good morning,” he said with his voice still sounding hoarse.
“Good morning Ezekiel,” she answered him back smiling shyly. “I'm sorry I entered your room without asking you for permission.”
“I don't think you should get worked up over something like that,”he said, still smiling. “Besides,you were concerned about me.”
“Don't worry,you are free to come in anytime any day,” he said waiting for her response.
“Is that a proposal or an invitation?” She teased him.
“Take it as whatever you want it to be,” he said. “I just want you around me feeling safe.”
“I think it's fun having you around,” she said looking away from him smiling. “I think I like you already Ezekiel.”
Ezekiel smiled from ear to ear,he was happy she said that. “That's exactly what I've been dying to hear from you,” he said. “I like you too Natalie.” “I think I've fallen for you.”
Natalie was looking at him with a serious face,she didn't say any word. He thought he had said something wrong.
“What's wrong,did I say something not pleasing to you?” He asked her.
“It's not that at all,” she said shaking her head. “What you said actually made sense, I'm just worried about the contract we signed. I signed a contract to marry for just a year, what's going to happen after that one year?”
Ezekiel looked at her and signed,he wasn't expecting her to say that. “You know we can talk about this whenever the time is right,” he said. “Let's just enjoy the moment together for now.”
“But I'm scared of what's going to happen after one year is complete. What if I get too attached to you and you have no choice but to leave me at the end of the contract? I don't want to get hurt again,” she said looking worried.
Ezekiel could see how concerned she was,he wanted to reassure her, “I promise I won't leave you when the contract is over if you don't want me to,” he said. “I would also like to be with you forever.”
“Like I told you yesterday in the bathroom,” he said. “I want to spend my forever with you.”
She looked at him and smiled. “I would like that too,” she said.
“It's just that I'm afraid of getting hurt,” she said. “But I know you would never hurt me intentionally.”
“I would never do such a thing,” he said, grabbing her hands and holding it tightly. “I want to make you happy and keep you safe from any danger.”
She couldn't resist him anymore,she leaned in to kiss him. They spent the morning enjoying each other's company until it was evening. They decided to go out shopping.
On their way out,they were quiet,both lost in their thoughts. They were both thinking about the same thing - the end of the contract.
They got to the boutique,bought what they wanted and left. Both of them were busy with their thoughts,none remembered about Calista.
Ezekiel's men are always watching Calista, if there's any bad thing they would call him so they have nothing to worry about.
Natalie was still worried about the contract,she couldn't stop thinking about it.
Even when they got home,and went to their different rooms. After they both freshen up, Natalie went into the garden for some fresh air.
When Ezekiel also came out,he saw her sitting in the garden and went to join her.
“Are you okay?” He asked her.
“I'm okay,” she replied, smiling a little.
“Okay,so I need to talk to you about something ,” he said, looking nervous. “I want us to talk about the contract.”
“Okay,” she said, looking slightly tense. “What about it?”
He could see that she's afraid about the contract issue.
“I don't want you to feel pressured about it at all,” he said. “I know you are still doubting if I will still be with you after the contract or not.”
“I really want to grow old with you,” he said, still looking nervous. “Let's just focus on Calista for now,and find out what her next dangerous plan is.”
“I appreciate that,” she said, smiling at him. “It is just that I don't know what the future has for both of us.”
“Let's worry about our present problem just like you said then,” she smiled at him after saying this.
