Chapter Two: CAUGHT IN THE ACT

ALPHA ADRIAN'S POV

I had just finished sparring with one of the best warrior wolves and even though I had just battered the wolves at their best, I did not feel fulfilled. I keep having nightmares of my fight with my father. I wake up terrified and troubled all night, yet everyone expects the Alpha of the Crescent Wolf pack to be strong and not showing any fear. Everyone expects me to be okay after killing my own father who raised me and taught me all I know to be an Alpha.

But, I am not okay at all. I had just acted out of my nightmare and had mistakenly killed the sixth omega assigned to me. Of course, I have to show that I am the Alpha and behave like he deserved it, but I do not know how this will keep on going.

“You are the Alpha. Suck it up.” Darren, my wolf told me. Of course, that is what he will say.

As I was about to enter my room, Darren alerted me that there was someone in my room.

“It must be the new omega assigned to me.” I told him, but it seems that Darren feels something different about this one, so I was also alert too.

I burst into the room and pounced on the small person there and snarled at her. I was even surprised that the omega is a girl. She is the first female omega assigned to me. But she smelled different, she smelled unique. As I tried to sniff her, she resisted and snarled back. I was very surprised. Immediately, I recovered and roared at her. Soon enough, she recovered and bowed down to me.

“Please, forgive me, Alpha Adrian. I didn't know that it was you that attacked me.” She whimpered. I think she's not telling the entire truth. I believe it's her wolf that reacted to me.

I moved to her and threw her on the bed. This is the first time that I will be attracted to another she-wolf before. It was as if my wolf was trying to connect with her wolf. Has my wolf found his mate?

“This is the Alpha's room, who else would you expect to be here?” I asked, in a domineering tone. She was still shivering as my forehead touched hers.

“Mate.” I said, slowly. She was surprised and she pushed me away, gently.

“What are you talking about? I am just an omega. It's not possible.” She argued. But I have seen something that is in her and not in others. I know that she is not just an omega. I know that she is very different.

“Mate.” I repeated. But she didn't respond, and she left the room. That night, I slept well for the first time in a long time.

I saw her subsequently for days, but I did as if I never knew her. I treated her badly as I would do the others. In fact, I picked on her worse than any other wolves and I let other wolves pick up on her too.

Another day, I was done with work and I stormed into my room angrily. Rogue wolves have gained more territory in the northern side of the clan. I have every reason to believe that my elder brother, Tyler, is responsible. Tyler was supposed to be the Alpha of Crescent Wolf pack, but he was born with a deformed hand and our father hated him.

“Weak!” My father always yelled at him any time he came to him. In fact, my father hid him so well that no one knows of Tyler's existence. He was just a year older than me and we looked so much alike. When I became fifteen, I turned, but Tyler still hadn't. This made father to quickly abandon him, saying he was not just weak and deformed, he was also wolfless. This made him bitter and angry. I barely saw him around and a few days after I killed our father, he came back saying that he will come for his rightful position. He joined the rogues and I haven't heard from him since; till today.

I got angry and I wanted to vent my anger. When I got to my room, the omega was still there. I didn't even know her name. I got in, took her by her hands and pinned her to the wall while staring at her fiercely.

SARA'S POV

As soon as the door swung open, I turned to bow my head to Alpha Adrian, but he took me by my two hands with one of his hands and pinned me to the wall. He looked as if the entire world was on his shoulders and he needed to de-stress.

“Why did you not respond to me?” He barked. I knew what he meant immediately.

“You are the Alpha. It does not make sense to be your mate.” I responded to him calmly.

“I am the Alpha and that means I get to choose whoever I want. And I choose you!” He barked louder. Tears ran on my cheeks. I am no longer scared of him. I took the bold step and kissed him before he could even object. He was dazed for a moment. He probably did not expect me to take the first step. He quickly recovered and responded with a passionate kiss. He kissed me from the lips to my eyes. He moved to my cheeks slowly and then to my shoulders. I moaned as he touched my breast. His fingers slipped into my clothes and he began to fondle my n*****s. I closed my eyes and let him do me. He really needed to feel something again and I was feeling for him. “Sara. My name is Sara Moonstone.” I replied.

The next day, very early in the morning, I tried sneaking out of the Alpha's chambers and as I was trying to enter my quarters, I stumbled on Kate.

“Katie!” I sounded apprehensive and I had almost lost my breath. She looked at me suspiciously and asked me.

“Where are you coming from this early morning? And why are your rags torn?” She asked, mockingly as I used my hands to cover myself.

“It's none of your concern.” I was too defensive as I rushed in. I did not trust Katie at all and that must have been how she found out that Alpha Adrian and I were having a secret relationship. Outside his room, Alpha Adrian will treat me like trash because he doesn't want his pack to see him as a weak Alpha, but inside his room, he dominated me.

Alpha Adrian promised me that we will be together and he will announce me as his mate on my eighteenth year birthday. Like a fool, I believed him and made him make a fool of me.

I now stood in front of the rest of the pack, as Alpha Adrian rejected me and Katie scorned me. I thought it would not be able to get worse. I did not know how wrong I was about to be. I held my stomach as I reacted to a little kick I had felt.
