The last thing I want is to be stuck between father and son and I intend to resolve it all tonight at dinner.
“You look stunning as always. I am sure my son would approve of you,” Christian said as he led me to the reserved table for our dinner.
“I need to speak with you first,” I said.
“Andy is already waiting, we can have the conversation afterward.” He said as he smothered me with a kiss even before I could say anything else.
“Don't feel nervous, everything will go just fine.” He reassured me as we went inside.
“Sarah, this is Anderson Grey, my son,” Christian said as he introduced me to him. I could see the shock and disbelief in Andy's eyes as his father made the introduction. I am sure he was never expecting that I would be his father's fiancée.
I smiled at him, feeling satisfied seeing that look on his face. I do not intend to be his stepmom, but one thing is sure, Andy is my past, and he has died in my heart two years ago. I will not allow him to ruin my happiness with Christian.
“Andy, this is Sarah, my fiance.” Christian said as he introduced me to him.
“D-a-d, you are joking, right? Please tell me this is some prank or something,” Andy said, completely furious at the announcement.
“And why would I joke about something like that?” Christian shot back.
“But…”
“You should take your seat, Andy,” I said, with a smile on my face.
“I am sorry you were not around for the engagement. But, there is a planned party and, just so you know, I am glad you are back,” Christian said as he patted him on the shoulder.
“Dad, you can't get married to Sarah!” Andy said affirmatively.
“And why is that?” I asked, staring at him intently.
“I am talking to my father!” He reacted angrily.
“Watch your tone, son, that is my fiance you are talking to right there.” Christian cautioned him immediately, and I could tell that it infuriated his anger.
“Dad, she is my age mate!” He spat out angrily.
“And who is complaining about that? You see, when it comes to love, it's the intention that matters Andy. Being with someone who will love and appreciate who you are is priceless and when you have that, trust me you have the world.” I said as I caressed Christian's hands right in front of him, making my ring more obvious to him.
“She is right Andy, I love her beyond your imagination, and I am sure you will also find your love soon enough. You just have to be open to give what you wish for.” Christian added.
“I will never agree to this union. Not while I am still alive!” Andy said affirmatively with his eyes blaring with anger and disappointment.
“What did you just say?” Christian reacted as he stood up against him immediately. I have never seen him this angry and I do not want to be the reason for a spat between father and son.
“Babe, calm down,” I said, holding Christian down.

“Please just listen to me now.” I pleaded with Christian.
“Okay fine, tell me, what is so important that you want to tell me before dinner?” He asked as he took me to a close by chair where we both sat down.
“It's about your son Andy,” I said.
“Do you know him?” He asked as his eyes shined with surprise.
“Yes, I do.”
“But how? I mean you never mentioned anything like that to me before.” He asked, curious to know how I knew Andy.
“Because he is my past,” I said.
“W-h-at do you mean by that?” He asked, completely thrown off balance.
“Your son is my ex-boyfriend,” I told him, ready for whatever came next as I tried to fight the tears from my eyes.
He paused for a moment, staring at me intently.
“Don't cry Sarah, it's his loss, not yours. And you don't have to explain anything to me. I know you are a good person and everyone would be lucky to have a woman like you in their life. And I know my son also, you have nothing to worry about.”
“As you said, he is your past, and I am your present, and that is all that matters. I love you and I will always love you.” He said with so much emotion written all over his face.
“What about Andy?” I asked, surprised at his reaction. I never believed I would have someone who would love me to the moon and back like Christian.
“Oh, you don't have to worry about him, I will handle him.” He reassured me.
“How can I love you like you love me?” I asked as I drew myself closer to him, closing the gap between us with my lips crashing down on his.
“I just want you to always be happy.” He said as he brushed my hair backwards, stroking it softly.
“I want you, every part of you,” I said as I caressed his chest and I could myself already getting wet down there.
“You have all of me, and I am all yours, but for now, we have to go inside and get this dinner over with.” He said as we headed inside.
*****************************
“I will never agree to this union and that is final!” Andy said as he stormed out of the hall.
“It's fine, just let him go. I am sure he needs some time to process it all.” I told Christian, who was already furious at his son.
“I should go home also. I think we all need to calm our heads individually. We will talk about this tomorrow.” I said, breaking the silence between us.
“Sarah, you don't have to worry about anything. I will get it all sorted out, and the engagement party is still on as planned.” He said as he drove me back home.
“I trust you, Christian,” I said as I kissed him goodnight and went into my apartment.
The light was on in my apartment, which was quite unusual, because I remembered putting it off before leaving the house earlier. As I went in, the only person that came to my mind was Nora, because she was the only one who had a spare key to my apartment, and then Christian.
“Nora?” I called out as I went inside.
“Sarah! You are back. I have been awaiting your arrival. It's good to see you again after all these years,” My estranged father said.
I could feel a sweat forming on my forehead with a buried anger rising in my chest. My father was the last person I was expecting in my apartment, not after all these years of abandoning me all by myself.
“What are you doing here?” I asked, still trying to figure out what was going on in my head.
“I know you don't want to see me, but you have to listen to what I have to tell you. This young man was keeping me company just before you came in,” he said, pointing at a male figure behind him.
I was curious as to who was keeping him company in my apartment, only for me to see Andy standing right behind him.
“How was the dinner babe?” Andy said, smiling at me like nothing happened earlier between us.
My estranged father is in my house with my ex-boyfriend, who is the son of my fiance. I knew right at that moment that I was in for some long drama.
