Chapter 1
I wake up to the sound of 2 beautiful children running around, chasing each other. The sun is very bright and is peaking through the curtains. What a beautiful day. I roll out of bed and walk out of the room, an amazing maple aroma quickly filling my nostrils. "Max!" One of the children shouts to the other, seemingly antagonizing the little boy. "Good morning beautiful!" A man in an apron calls to me. "Good morning," I respond. The maple smell was coming from the bacon that the man was cooking. The children continued to play. "Whats all this?" I ask, an eyebrow raised at the sight. "I'm making breakfast for everyone before you drop the kids off at school," the man answers. "Kat no fair!" The little boy cried. "Is too, you lose." Said the little girl. "Kat, Max, sit at the table. Breakfast is ready." The man interrupted the two from their argument. "Mommy you look real pretty today," the little girl said. "Thank you," I paused as I did not remember the girls name. "Beautiful." How did I not know her name? If she was my daughter I'd have remembered. So instead I played it safe. I didn't touch my food much in fear that I didn't recall any of what was happening. In the blink of an eye I was behind the wheel, driving the kids to school. In another blink I was back at home, in bed. I couldn't describe what had happened other than time was skipping. "Hun, are you feeling ok? You've been in bed all day," the man asked to make sure I was ok. "I'm fine, what's happening?" I try and ask. "What do you mean?" His face looking worried. "We were just eating breakfast. Then I blinked and I was driving those kids to school. Then I blinked again and I was back in bed. What's going on?" The man turned away from me and walked out of the room. I tried to stand up and walk to him but the minute my feet hit the floor I fell to the floor. My face was mortified as I watched the wood floors below me mold to white tiles. I looked up and I was in the hospital, nurses rushing to my aid. "What's happening?!" I scream. "Ma'am you're going to be alright," the nurse says. "Where's that man? Where are the kids?!" The nurse helped me back to my feet then walked away, just like the man had. The gut feeling was starting to sink in. What was happening? Where was I? Then the room faded. I wasn't in the hospital anymore. I was in pitch black. "Hello?" I called out. Silence greeted me. Nothing was around me and noone was in sight. "Hello?" I tried once more. Silence again. I was feeling light headed from the room reshaping so many times. My head was barely wrapped around what kept happening. Was I going crazy? I collapsed over myself once more, causing me to go unconcious.
