His Ugly Face

I slept by 2 am and woke up by 7am.I was woken up by a text from Amy and Diane.

I clicked open Amy’s text and it read;Saint Finn’s hall.Be there by 10 sharp.

I laughed out loudly as I came to the realization that I didn’t even know where my wedding was supposed to take place,Talk about a clueless bride!

I opened Diane’s text and it read;Good morning bride to be.I dropped by your apartment this morning and I got your dress.Get ready quick and send me your location.

I got ready and straightened my hair,I wasn’t interested in glamming up for a person I didn’t even know his name.So I texted Diane back by 8;30am.

To Diane;Thank you girl I’m in room 624 in Leo’s Guesthouse.Also don’t forget your bridesmaid dress it’s pink in color.Get me a bag and a silver heel.

Diane;Copy that!See you soon.

I smiled as I ordered for breakfast of toast and eggs with pineapple juice.It arrived after a few minutes and I ate happily.

I browsed social media for a bit and my sister’s engagement to Jack Davies was the trending topic on Twitter.They were both spotted at the hospital for pregnant women looking very cheerful.What a way to ruin my mood I thought as I dropped my phone on the bed.

A knock came on the door.Who is that I asked?Its Diane she replied as I opened the door.

What’s up bride she asked?”I’m I supposed to answer that I answered checking everything she brought.

It’s 9;15 let’s get ready better late than never I said as I slipped into the wedding dress.The dress was simple and it compliments my personality really well.I had no make up on because my skin was doing justice to my already pretty face.We did our finishing touches and it was 9;40.

Let’s head out Lily, Diane said as she packed our things.We checked out at the reception and paid the bills,on our way out of the hotel I caught a glimpse of the president getting into his car.

We arrived at the hall and I met Amy doing her thing of dragging me through the mud.She wasn’t even dressed in the bridesmaid dress she picked.She was putting on a long pink gown with slit on both sides and flowers in the front,her hair was curled and she was putting on heavy make up.If anyone was asked who the bride was I’m pretty sure Amy would have been their answer.

The ceremony started at 10 am sharp but my so called husband was still not seen.After about ten minutes he came in alone with a nose mask on his face.

My heart raced as I saw him with a nose mask on walking towards me,he looked oddly familiar but I couldn’t really see his face.

The crowd started murmuring as he stood in front of me.

Is he ugly?

Why is his face covered?

He must be really poor.

I can’t believe she is marrying him I mean they actually fit she isn’t even putting on make up.

Poor girl who comes alone to their wedding.

I tried to stare at him but his eyes gave me chills just like the president I met earlier.We exchanged vows and were pronounced husband and wife.I walked over to Stephanie who didn’t even bother to show up to the ceremony.My new husband went out to receive a call so I stood with Diane feeling awkward.

Damn who the heck is he,he didn’t even kiss you Diane complained.Amy strolled over with Jack and her two friends.

Sister congratulations I’m really happy for you she said giving me a hug.Know your place Lily stay away from Jack you are now married she whispered in my ear.Keep your nose out of my marriage Amy and manage your husband as well it won’t be my fault if he gets seduced by a married woman I replied disengaging the hug.

You can never like me huh she said loudly,I did all this for you Sis””do you want Jack you can have him I will leave you alone I won’t disturb your peace I will even abort my baby for you just don’t say that you want nothing to do with me she said crying.

I wasn’t even surprised but my husband did look annoyed by everything he heard.I didn’t even realize that he was back in the room.

Lily you are so despicable Amy has done everything for you Jack scolded,I had no idea you were such a b***h I should have never dated you in the past he added looking at me scornfully.

Let’s not cause a scene Mr Jack I would not like to talk about the past in front of my friend’s new husband Diane replied.

I’m inviting you to the after party at Ronald’s Club later today my husband finally spoke up.Let’s go Lily he said dragging me out of the hall.

He removed his nose mask from his face in the car but I still couldn’t see his face.He was in the passenger seat while I was in the back seat looking out the window until I caught a glimpse of the man who stole my purse.He was the driver of the car I was in.

You stole my purse yesterday how dare you I yelled as I punched him.Where is my purse I asked dragging his hair.

Calm down woman I will give it to you later,Go in there and change your dress,there is a woman there waiting for you my husband said putting on his nose mask once again.I will be waiting for you here.
