Chapter 13 Spending Time Together

Nathan was awakened by the sun shining through the window. He looked at Sophia soundly asleep in his arms. He couldn't blame men too had their eyes on her. His fingers softly caress her not to disturb her sleep. Before slowly getting out of bed, he kissed her forehead. He stuffed the pillow in her arms while smiling. 

He went into the bathroom, brushed his teeth change into sweatpants and a shirt, and went into the gym. Halfway through his workout, he saw Sophia entering the gym. His heart skips a beat. 

She was wearing a red color short that highlighted her flawless skin that curved her butt was on full display. She looked lovely. Sophia tied her hair into a high ponytail.

He pulled himself back from the brink of his thoughts. He braces himself and greets her.

"Good morning, Angel." 

Sophia looks at him smiling and says, "Good morning to Nate."

We do our own workout; after thirty minutes, Sophia walks out of the gym and says she will cook their breakfast as Nathan opened the door to the kitchen. He heard music from the stereo flows through. He smells the sweet scent coming from the oven. He slowly came to Sophia and hugged her from the back, and asked.

"What's for breakfast, love? 

"I cook your favorite Caledonian casserole and croissants," Sophia replied. 

When did you prepare this? 

"I prepared it last night."

"Thanks, love! And peck Nathan on his lips. 

"It was my gratitude for helping me out at the hotel last time."

 Sophia stood up and was about to go to the kitchen; When Nathan stood up and trapped her in the wall, looking into each other eyes. He holds Sophia's face and says; 

"I will not let you go, Sophia. Whatever happens, I will be the only man in your life forever."

 "I trust you, Nate; you are the only one for me too."

Nathan drew Sophia closer to him. Their face getting closer, Sophia closed her eyes, and she feels his lips touch her. They have forgotten everything. After Nathan feels they were out of breath, he pulls away, but their forehead still connected. 

Nathan tried to restrain himself as he would never allow their first time to be like this. He wants it to be special for Sophia. His thirty-one years of self-control seemed to be broken; he can't think straight when it comes to Sophia, and his IQ drops. 

Today was Sunday they decided to goes to church. They ate lunch outside. They went for a swim after lunch. Nathan teaches Sophia. She was a fast learner. She learns to swim in a short amount of time. It was four in the afternoon when they go home.

Nathan went straight directly to their home office when they arrive home. He received an urgent call. Sophia went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. She marinated the chicken and seasoned it with herbs, and slowly cooked it in olive oil to make it rich and tender; it was called "Chicken confit"; while the chicken was simmering, She made the dessert "Creme Caramel" and cook the soup "Bouillabaise. 

These were Nate's favorite foods. She watches television in the living room. She waited for Nathan to finished his work in the office. She was so engrossed in watching "The Walking Dead" when a voice startled her. 

What did you cook for dinner? It smells enticing? What are you watching you did not notice me? 

I look at Nathan; "I made dinner. Let's go!

They went to the kitchen, and Nathan says "it smells delicious." 

"Just sit in the dining I'll bring out the food."

"Ok, Angel." Bon Appetit," Sophia says. 

These foods taste heavenly, love."

Really? 

"Yes, Love.'

After eating their dinner, Nathan insists on washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. Sophia continues to watch television what she left earlier. Nathan sat beside Sophia and also watched television. Nathan cuddles Sophia on the sofa while watching. 

"Thank you for cooking my favorite foods."

"It's my honor and welcome! Sophia gave Nathan a quick kiss. 

Before she could blink, she felt his lips, and the kiss goes deeper. 

"If we continue this, I won't be able to..."Sophia kisses him.

"Love, let's register our marriage tomorrow. I want to be assured that you are mine."

"The military wedding was scheduled as planned."

"Ok, on one condition!

 What condition Sophia? 

We will keep it for a while, is that okay with you?

"I will be Mrs.Dyson. I will have all the rights to stow away the flies and the bitches that try to flirt with you."

"Flies and bitches! Hahaha, Nathan laughs. 

"It's my honor, my queen." still laughing. 

So, you follow Bryan's suggestion? 

"It's reasonable, and I think about it. It's for our reputation and the company." "What if some paparazzi spotted us together like last time."

"And besides, I have a Korean investor who wants to invest."

"I heard that Koreans support the importance of family traditions."

"If you want to get this project, Nate, you have to learn their customs and traditions." 

"And also study their business protocols and work culture," Sophia says. 

"Don't worry about this project. I will help you." "Remember my friend Liz, and she's Korean. She can help us."

"You're really my, Angel."

They woke up early Monday morning and did their workout routine; cook and ate our breakfast. At eight-thirty, they went directly into the court. While in the elevator, Nathan speaks, 

"I have a lot to say to you; all I can say is you look like an angel." "I love to stare at you all day."

Assist. Adams was already waiting in the limo for us as we got out of the elevator. Nathan holds my hand and leads me to the limousine. Sophia wears a knee-length white dress with simple makeup. Nathan also wears a white tuxedo. 

Grandpa? Congratulations!. How'd you know? 

Sophia looks at Nathan, and he nods while his lips curl up. 

"Thank you, grandpa; I love you." while smiling with tears in her eyes. 

"I'm glad Hannah took Josh away from you. It allowed you to find your soulmate."

 "Josh never deserved to be your husband; Nathan is a great man. Fate joined both of you as one;" grandpa gave Sophia a peck on her forehead. 

"Wipe your tears, my dearest child."

Nathan wipes the tears on my face tenderly. We were on our way to our court wedding. Both our grandfathers are there. Liz and Nancy were also there, along with Bryan and Jack. We were happy that both our friends are there on the day of our marriage. Sophia was so happy that she hadn't noticed what the judge said. After thirty minutes of exchange "I do's" and exchange of rings. 

Then she heard, "With the power bestow upon me." "I now pronounce you husband and wife."

"You may now kiss the bride." 

Nathan looked at Sophia, and before they know it, they kissed each other. Like there were no other people around. We both back to our senses when we heard our friends shouting and clapping. Both our friends and grandfathers are smiling happily; while congratulating us.

Once the judge finished, we signed our marriage certificate to be official and legal. We went into a hotel for our reception organized by both of our grandfathers. All of us gather together in the private room of the hotel and eat; to avoid the paparazzi. 

Grandpa Dyson speaks, How about you two, Bryan and Jack? When do we see you two settle down? 

"I hope the next would be Bryan and Nancy's wedding."

"It's been two months left before Bryan's birthday. Your old man and I already talk about your wedding. It will be on November eighteenth."

Nancy drops the spoon. Why didn't we know about this grandpa? Did you know about this, Bry?

"No, grandpa hasn't told me about this also. Is that so? 

"Now you both know, I'll give a heads-up one of these days, your grandpa will call you Bryan, and we plan to announce your engagement publicly."

Nancy and Bryan didn't speak. They continue to eat their food. If they protest, nothing will happen; it will get chaotic to both sides as their families long decided it. After our friend's congratulations, we finished our meal and separated.

Sophia and Nathan went straight to the company as Nathan has a meeting at three pm. They ride on his Land Rover with assist Adams and the driver. 

Nathan speaks, "I'm sure you know that I will not do the thing of hidden marriage, but I grant it as per your condition." "But at our military wedding. I will let everyone around us know that I love my woman."

Nathan grabbed Sophia's hands and raised them.

"Don't ever, ever take this ring on your finger, the same as mine, because where you are is where I am, where our home and love is." 

Nathan slowly kissed Sophia's ring finger without breaking their eyes. Then he whispered, "You know, I cant wait to get home. I will tell assist. Adams to clear my schedule this evening."

"I can't wait to take this dress off of you,"

With a devilish and mischievous look on his face. Sophia felt her face heated up and covered her face with his palm.

"You look lovely when you blush, don't hide your face from me," while smiling lightly.

"We have arrived, Pres." assist. Adams says. Sophia breathes freely. 

In the afternoon, there were not many employees in the lobby. They went straight to the executive elevator with assistant Adams, but it did not pass to some employees, who saw them wearing white together. They both ignored it and went straight to their own offices. 

The situation didn't grant both of them; his meeting ended at seven pm. And Sophia was also helping her grandpa with the financial status file of the Hankey Group that was sent to her that afternoon. 

She was busy looking at the file when there's a knock on the door. 

"Come in".she didn't look up.

 "Wifey, let's go home; I'm hungry!

She did not notice that Nathan was beside her, whispering in her ear. 

"Ok! she closes the folder and puts it into a safe along with the other documents. They walk hand in hand into the parking lot of the company.
