Chapter 19

It's been 2 weeks since Cole disappeared. Instead of rejoicing that he's not here, I'm not myself anymore. Flora was worried because I got dark under eyes and started to get skinnier.

My siblings were worried even Vincent cooked me more food than usual. They all blamed Cole for everything but I just listened to them telling how an asshole he is.

My bestfriends were worried for me after I told them everything. Elle suggested that I talk to him and Cherice said the same thing as Jake. I hate them both and as for Sienna, she told me to talk to him but let him talk first explaining everything.

Rissa approached me too. She told me to just go with the flow, if Cole really likes me then he will come around. I went to work as Katherina like usual but Flora said that I've lost my spark.

Do I like him more than I thought? Or I'm just so bothered because he disappeared?

I sat in my room, on my bed, with my phone in front of me. I decided to call Cole and I'm so nervous.

"Please don't pick up.." I begged and suddenly he picked up but he didn't say anything. I froze in place looking at my phone screen.

He then ended the call and he blocked me because his picture disappeared all of the sudden.

I let out a long sigh and I decided to just.. let it go.

"Cassie.." I turned to see Cassie bursting into my room.

"What?"

"Do you mind come with me to a party? Victor bb ditched on me.." She said and I nodded.

"What should I wear?"

"Something black.. long dress." After she disappeared. I jumped into the shower and started to get ready myself.

I dried my hair and put some make up on. I curled my hair too and walked to the closet to pick the dress. I grabbed my favorite off shoulder black dress and wore it. I put my red high heels and grabbed a small clutch. I sprayed myself with a perfume and walked out to my sister's room.

"What kind of party is this?" I asked.

"Birthday party, it's Jenna's." Well.. can't believe it's Jenna's party. I should have asked earlier. Jenna is Rissa's friend in highschool. When she throws a party, she will go big. You'll see famous people going around her house like they're ordinary people.

"You should have told me.."

"You won't come with me if I told you.." I glared at her.

"It's a freaking trap."

"Besides you've been so down lately, you can find a new boyfriend there.." She smirked.

"Say that to yourself." I hissed.

"Let's go.." She said and I walked out first. I got into the car first and told the driver to wait for Rissa a little bit.

"Okay.. let's go." She said as she opened the door. She got in and the driver drove out from the house.

"If I don't feel the vibe, I'll go home.." I said.

"Roger that." After 20 minutes ride, we arrived at Jenna's house. Jenna's birthday party is like a party full of cool kids. Not the type of party that blast loud musics with alcohols and people having s*x in the hallway but more like.. a calm one with orchestra music as the background music.

We got out from the car and walked inside. We're looking for Jenna first. After we found her, we wished her a happy birthday and she thanked us. I like Jenna, she's fun but sometimes.. a little too much.

People were shocked at first when they come to her party, they expected crazy party vibes but ended up getting a charity ball vibes but she made it so fun.

I walked towards the pool when my eyes lands on the person that have been missing for the past 2 weeks. He was sitting by the pool alone looking at the sky.

I wanted to make a U turn but ended up finding myself walking towards him. I opened the sliding door to the pool and Cole didn't even bother to look. I approached him slowly.. scared.

"Why are you here?" I froze in place when he said that. He turned his head to me. His eyes were so cold and he was not happy to see me judging by his tone.

I sat a few chairs beside him. "Need some fresh air." I said and he got up from the chair.

"Where have you been?" I asked and he walked away from me. He got back into the house and I sighed. I quickly followed him and but he's heading out from the house.

"Where do you think you're going?" Rissa caught me.

"Talk to you later!" I said and I ran out from the house.

"Cole!" I called and he turned to me. He then got into the car disappearing again. I took out my phone and called Jake.

"I need you to help me.."

"Help you with what?"

"I need you drag Cole to me.." I said and Jake laughed. He freaking laughed from the other side.

"I'll kill you later.."

"If you kill me, I won't do it. I still have a long life to live." I wanted to smack him so bad.

"Just drag Cole to me, I bet he's going back to his house right now."

"Roger that, maam." Not long after I called Jake, my dad texted us in the family group.

Dad: Change of plans. We will have an event this Saturday and we'll go public as a family. I want you all to be ready.

Victor: Okay.

Vincent: Excited.

Rissa: Do I get something in return?

Dean: Funny Rissa..

Victor: Cassie.. say something.

Cassie: yey

Vincent: That's.. pretty sarcastic

Mom: You're not excited, Cassie?

Victor: It will be fun!

I texted Jake to bring Cole to a cafe and Jake told me that he'll be there in an hour. I decided to go to the cafe first. I ordered a drink and a cake. I was nervous and kept looking at the clock and looking at the door.

Jake: 2 minutes away..

Cassie: Thanks!

Jake: You owe me..

Cassie: I'll give you all the details about Cherice.

Jake: Consider it done then..

I put my phone down and the door opened revealing Jake and Cole. Cole glared at Jake and then me. I don't want to know how Jake grabbed him but I'm glad that he's here. Cole walked to me and sat across me.

"What do you want? I'm pretty sure you're the one who doesn't want to see me." He said and I looked at him straight into his eyes.

"I want to ask you three questions and all I want is for you to answer it honestly.." I said and he sighed.

"You won't believe me anyway.." He looked away as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"One, did you know about me before the dare?" I asked and he looked at me completely annoyed.

"No, I did not."

"Two, your dad ask you to approach me for the sake of the future of your company?"

"No."

"Where did you go for the past 2 weeks?" I asked and he let out a sarcastic chuckle.

"Don't really want to answer that, why are you so curious all of the sudden?"

"Just answer the question.." I hissed.

"No." With that he got up from his seat.

"My parents found out that you bullied me at school and added the fact that you have Harrison as your last name."

"My parents never had beef with your family, it's just Billy always start a fight because he's greedy."

"Or maybe your parents are the greedy ones." I said and he laughed.

"Have you ever think about why your parents never revealed you to the world?" I bit my bottom lips thinking about that question.

"They wanted all the fame for themselves. They got successful kids that will outshine them. That's what your parents did to mine. When my parents took the spotlight for a split second, the Edwards hated it." No, he's lying right?

"We're going public this Saturday." I said and he let out a loud laugh.

"Of course, he knew how to raise the company value very well."

"You're lying.."

"See, that's the problem with you. You never see the big picture, Cassie. Don't find or try to call me again, I'm done." I never felt so heart broken before.
