Chapter 17 Hunter awakened to the sound of a key being fitted into a lock. He sat up, disoriented, looking around the small room in which he had fallen asleep, now filled with grayish light. For a moment he had no idea where he was. He tensed as he heard the tumblers of the lock turning and sucked in some air as the door began to open. He flattened himself against the back of the couch.
