Alpha Axel "Son, don't you think it is about time? You just turned 27, you are an Alpha, one of the strongest in the world. Imagine how much stronger you will be when you mark and mate with a she wolf" dad says, and my wolf groans. Here we go again. "Dad, I have been doing great all on my own. If it isn't my mate, I don't want anyone." I tell him. I even stopped sleeping around 2 years ago. Nothing satisfied my wolf and I. It was all pointless. Diesel, my wolf says only our mate can satisfy us. "Son, the thing is everyone is becoming scared of you. You have become so ruthless," dad says. "If someone crosses me, then they will get dealt with, otherwise, no-one needs to be afraid of me. They just need to respect me as their leader." I tell him, feeling done with this conversation that we have been having on a weekly basis as of lately. "Dad, I have a lot of work to do. Where's mom? I am sure she needs attention. I've got it all covered here" I say dismissing him. He sighs. "All right son, I hope you know what you are doing." he says and leaves. I release a long breath. Finally he is gone. I have been searching for my mate for 9 years, 9 and I haven't been lucky. I have hope though. I can't give up just yet. "Bro, I just got laid by an older she wolf. The things she did to me with her tongue. I think I am in love." My best friend and Beta Justin drops to the sofa in front of my desk, reeking of s3x. I glance up at him typing away on his phone and look back at the stack of paperwork I have to get done by tonight. "Why don't you get your head out of your a$$, and help me here." I hand him half the stack. He puts his phone away and begins looking at the papers. "Thatcher Exeter School. What is that place and why does our pack donate so much money there?" he asks. I snatch the paper out of his hand and look it over. "Hmmm, I don't know, looks like we have been donating to this school since back when my grandparents were in charge of the pack. It is just another place we give money too. Must be a good school if they decided to donate to it regularly." I tell him. "Well, you know how you said you wanted to change things around here and cut down on money waste. Should we check this place out as well as the others we donate to that are on the suspicious list?" he asks me. I sigh. It is a school, but maybe he is right and we should check it out. We do seem to donate a lot of money to this place. We need to make sure the money is being properly used. After finding out that some companies and packs we were investing and donating to were just using us and another was using the money for fancy living and not truly helping his pack, we decided to cut down and check out every place money is going to. I write the name down on a sticky note. "Lets finish this work so we can go check this place out tomorrow." I tell my Beta. We spend the rest of the afternoon working and around 5pm we finally finish. We decide to get a workout in, then have dinner and maybe go out for a drink or something. I really need this workout. We head for the field and I notice as we walk out there, many people begin picking their things up and clearing out. I sigh. Maybe dad is right and people are afraid of me. Moon goddess, please send me my mate soon. I also hope it is someone who accepts me and doesn't reject me, because rejection is real, although not very common, but I just hope my mate is everything I hope for. We start off with 50 laps around the field. We then move on to sparring. Justin has no chance. I knock him on his ass too quick for my liking. I mind link my Gamma to bring his a$$ here. Both of them vs me and nothing. I knock them both on their a$$es. I mind link three of my top warriors and not even all of them put together did anything. I knocked them all on their a$$ once again. This workout did nothing for me, so I shift, and run. "Dinner time, bring your a$$ back" Justin mind links me. I would punch him for speaking to me like this, but I am starving so I will let it go, plus I know he is just f*cking around with me. He would never disrespect me. Justin is like my brother, but he also knows when things are serious and he respects me and I also respect him. I shift back and I walk in through the front door, naked because I shifted and didn't bring any clothes with me and I really don't give a f*ck. I walk up to my room as some people run scared and women stare. I could care less. I am Alpha, do my job for these people, and at the end of the day go to sleep, then wake up and do it all over again. I get to my room and take a quick shower and get dressed. I check my cell phone quickly. I listen to the voicemail of Alpha Jarod asking for a visit to his pack. "Alpha Axel, my daughter is 18 now and I would like for you two to meet. Maybe you are mates and if not, maybe we can speak about a union. You two can become chosen mates, call me back so we can discuss and set something up." the voicemail says. I put my phone on the charger and head down to have dinner. Alpha Jarod is an a$$hole that I will never want to get into business with. He is greedy and he knows my pack has money. That is why he wants me to be with his daughter. I know she is not my mate. I have seen her before. At 15, he had her try to seduce me. Justin, Toby and I stayed there after an event they had and she climbed into my bed at night. I had to kick her out. I was furious. If it wasn't for Toby finding his mate that night, I would have probably k!lled everyone there. I think he might just be up to something else again. I sit at the head of the table and an Omega comes to serve me. I don't miss the little touches she gives me and the flirty smile. My wolf and I hate it. She must be new if she thinks she can touch me. I will have to put her in her place. I am about to when Justin pulls me into a conversation. "So Axel, you ready to check that place out? I researched it and it just seems like an etiquette boarding school. It's an all-girl's school. I got the number and called and the person I spoke to seemed hesitant to speak to me, but I finally got her to give me information. She told me that they have human girls on one side of the school and supernatural's on the other side, so they never cross paths. Apparently, it is safer that way. When the she wolves need to shift, the humans won't see them or freak out. The girls they have there are orphans. They take them in as young as babies and they keep them until 18. They give them a proper education, they teach them how to be proper women, proper manners, fitness, all kinds of different activities and they help their wolves become stronger. They have all kinds of teachers there to teach them. Seems like a great place for orphans. I can see why your grandparents decided to donate here." he tells me. "Maybe we shouldn't go check it out then, since it seems so perfect." I tell him. My wolf growls "It's too good to be true. We have to go check it out" he growls at me some more. "Lets just go, it's on the agenda anyway. Gives us a reason to have a day out." he tells me and I nod. "Well, we will be making a pit stop at Alpha Jarod's pack. He won't know we are coming. We will just be popping in real quick" I tell him, thinking of what this man could have planned for his daughter who, every time I have seen her, has looked afraid. That night I kicked her out of my room, she begged me not to tell her father. Again, because of Toby and not wanting to scare his new mate, I acted like nothing happened. I tried avoiding his pack, but now he is up to something and I will get to the bottom of this. Maybe this way if it is something against any laws, I can challenge him and k!ll him or I will scare him into leaving me the f*ck alone. I can threaten him or something. Dinner is over and I decide I am too tired to go out. I just want to sleep. Justin complains, but I lie and tell him I have some calls to make, so he leaves without another word. I get in bed and grab my crossword puzzle book. Yes, this is something I do on nights when I can't shut my mind off. I do a couple of pages and then finally I feel tired enough and go to sleep. That night I dream a pretty girl, with green eyes and long brown hair, but she looks scared. She looks at me Help me she cries and I wake up. My wolf pacing in my mind, clearly as upset as I am.
