Chapter 4 - The Library

Sarah POV

As I wake up from my slumber , I feel extra energetic and bursting out with euphoria. I am determined to learn more about my dream.

Mom was in the kitchen , I kissed her good bye and started walking towards library. The library was a three story building. As I entered the receptionist smiled warmly at me.

I went to second floor searching for the section on training with the special elements. But here the books contained only about special weaponry. I searched the entire second floor and found none.

I was dejected and about to give up. Just as I was about head back, I heard that sweet voice again, and a shadow like structure appeared. She as beautiful as ever. She gestured me to follow her and I obediently did.

She took me behind a section where it was Camouflaged to look like a book shelf. I was shocked to see a hidden button to open and then entered the hidden chamber. There was a huge staircase going below to underground. This place looks like an exclusive library with superior information.

The spirit lady turned towards me and spoke “this section contains information which are forbidden to normal people. This falling into working hands will bring catastrophe to the world. That is why I am warning you to look only for the information that you need and don’t even seek the knowledge which is not meant for you .

The book and scrolls for water abilities are available in the 3rd row. Seek what you need and leave this place as soon as you are done”.

I simply nodded my head and walked towards the 3rd row. I found the scroll about water abilities and started reading.

It said some blessed people have the abilities to control water. Water flows like emotion and people who have good control on emotions can use water to its best abilities. It can be used as weapon against evil and also for healing abilities.

The next course consisted detailed information and illustration about healing. Human and werewolf anatomy. The lymphatic drainage points in the body. The nervous system responsible for flow of energy.

The next few hours I read the detailed information and learned few things about water’s healing abilities. After few hours I saw a dummy doll at the corner of the hall. As curious as I am, I followed my line of sight and went near the doll. There were markings on it just like the ones on the scrolls.

“Oh it looks like a training doll to used the healing abilities”.

There was a section where it has scrolls containing detailed instructions on using the training doll.

“Let me do as the instruction illustrates”

There were nodal , pressure and acupuncture points . These points are where you can initiate the drainage system and drain the toxicity if poisoned. Lymphatic points to relive pain. Through this extra fluids can be drained through vessels, filtered through lymph nodes.

Next part contained detailed information on lymphatic drainage massage. It helps to relieve painful swelling in arms and legs caused when tissues retain fluid left behind after cardiovascular system sends blood to tissues and other organs.

As I was practicing this technique on the dummy training troll I was able to master it quickly. I was super happy by this.

Next I moved to different scroll. Here it was a chapter on transferring energy from one strong body to another weak body . This skill will come in use when there is battle and healer can use their energy to heal the wounded worriers. This information was fascinating. Next hour I tried using this technique but to no avail. I got frustrated.

The lady with sweet voice appeared again.

“ My my you are so angry young lady”

“Hello, you keep appearing every now and then, can you please introduce yourself ?”

“Consider me as your well wisher, you will know everything in due time”

“When will the time come ?”

“Have some patience child. Now tell me what caused you so frustrated ?”

“ I am trying to learn energy transfer technique from past few hours but to no avail”

“Oh ya, I forgot to tell you. You are indeed gifted child but you will be able to unlock your abilities only when meet your mate and mate with him”

My mate!! The thought of having a mate and leaving this place was something scary to me. In this forest I was always under the protection of enchantment, but I have never known the world outside the river.

But sometimes meeting your other half was somewhat exciting and leaving my family behind was something I was not ready. Even though I was an adopted daughter, they never differentiated between me and my brothers.

“The thought of mate and separating from my family brings chills to me. If I have to meet my mate let it be someone who resides in this forest” I said to the enchantress.

“Don’t worry my child, your mate is a kind hearted man with impeccable values. You both together will achieve great things in life. This is your destiny. When you meet your mate accept him wholeheartedly without any doubts in your mind. When the time comes to leave your family, don’t worry I will help you with the ability to transport. But keep in mind, your special abilities will be unlocked only when you both mark each other”

The thought of marking my mate I felt shy and my cheeks turned pink.

She giggled at me and stroked my head lovingly.

“Can you call you as my god - mother ?” I asked her.

She nodded smiling “sure sweety , you can call me as god mother”.

I sighed enjoying the this blissful moment.

“How do I contact you when ever I feel like talking to you ?”

She waved her hands in the air and a paper with incantation appeared. She held my hand with the paper in-between and chanted something in a different language I could not understand. I saw a white light emitting from her hand and I could feel some kind of thread being formed in my mind.

She opened her eyes “I have created a magical mind-link between us. This is not affected by wolf. Most of the time this channel is blocked. Whenever you want to contact me all you have to do is focus on this channel and think about me and call me thrice. I will appear before you”

I smiled at her and she hugged me.

“Don’t worry child I will always look over you, as you have called me as your fairy god mother it’s now my duty” she giggled.

I laughed at her antics and bid her good bye. She vanished the next moment. I kept back the books back in their section thinking I would learn about them another time. I went back to second floor and sealed the chamber and went back home.
